  1. Yeah, another thread just posted that Posi confirmed I16 beta starts today.
  2. I'll see if I can log on to test once it's done patching (whee slow internet and laptop hard drives). Might be that the server itself is still down for maintenance like Avatea posted, or it might actually be the start of beta.

EDIT: Login server for test is down so you can't even get on, let alone find out whether this patch is I16 or not.

Mu and Mace seem to be popular choices - Mu's AoE immobilize does -KB, and Mace offers several useful tools that synergize well with /Dark. Scorpion Shield's S/L defense works with the -tohit from Darkest Night and the bubble from your Protector Bots, the immob and hold do -fly and -jump so are nice for keeping things grounded in your burn patches, and Power Boost is really nice in general. In particular, PB will boost the -tohit of Fearsome Stare and Darkest Night (but in the case of DN, only for the duration of PB), the fear duration and hold duration of Fearsome Stare and Petrifying Gaze, the stun of Howling Twilight, the heal of Twilight Grasp, and the movement slow of Tar Patch. Am I missing something?
  4. Mids isn't outdated in the numbers department (at least not on powers that haven't been changed since I13) but it doesn't factor in diminishing returns. Elusivity is basically lol now at 10% because sets like Archery have an inherent accuracy bonus that directly counters it, and everyone else will have accuracy set bonuses that'll be enough to get through it (and that's with not intentionally building for accuracy - usually incidental bonuses will be enough).
  5. Cool, always wanted to go to a DT concert.
  6. Be careful with this. One of the original "what changes do we need?" lists asked for a "new-player friendly" zone and instead of that, the entire system was changed.

    Siesmic Smash!

People take Fire Mastery because Fireball is still the best APP AoE in the damage department and some people still use Behemoths, which deal fire damage. However, like Chaos said, most F/Ks that are doing boss farms are using Stone Mastery (myself included).
  8. Been trying to get a hold of a member of Ice Knight's team to set up a time for this week's match - if one you can get back to me either in game or via PM on the forums that'd be great.
  9. Didn't PvP on Freedom before I13 but from what I've heard the numbers in Freedom RV are about what they were before I13, possibly a bit higher at times. That seems nice at first, until you do a little digging and discover that that's only the case because people started transferring off other servers because they couldn't find PvP. Before I13, Freedom, Virtue, and Infinity were the biggest PvP servers and Justice, Infinity, and Pinnacle had decent populations as well. While Justice does have a 3v3 league going, most PvPers I know from Justice play mostly on Freedom now and only jump back over to Justice when it's time for a 3v3 match.
  10. Hm, this discussion kinda makes me wonder - if we do get cross-server arena, will that also work between the US and EU servers, like the market does?
  11. Shooting for KB protection in the upper 30s to lower 40s will keep you from getting KBd from anything other than Power Push and Force Bolt (neither of which is terribly common, the big ones in use right now are Lift and Levitate). If you're a melee character your in-set knockback protection will be enough (once they fix that nasty mez + KB bug).
  12. Think I'll take three. I'll shoot off an email once I get home from work.
  13. The only IOs you really need on a PvP build are -KB IOs if you're a squishy, and 50 million should buy you a few of those. You can PvP just fine on SOs. Will you be at a disadvantage to those expensive builds? Yeah, but if you know what you're doing you'll do alright. Not good, just alright.

    Psy/NRG Blapper

Psi isn't a great PvE set. You're better off with Fire or Ice.
  15. Hm, this just made me giddy. Too bad most of my characters are already 50, maybe this can be my double inf weekend.

Im not sure but in most MMORPG'S Fire usually leads to DOTS and does good damage, And Ice as a secondary, scanning through the skills seems to be half decent crowd control, and a few survivability options..

    Im just wondering,

Is this correct? Or when i go to pvp / raid, (Raiding ? Is that in this game)
    Will i just be facerolled...?

I PvP with moderate success on a Fire/Ice Blaster. Before Issue 12, the Fire primary was the top choice for Blasters but Psy replaced it in I12 and the I13 changes made Sonic and Archery edge out Fire in the damage department, so now it's now merely a middle-of-the-road set. The Ice secondary has never been good in PvP because it lacks real utility powers other than Shiver (for the -rech and -speed), but slows got nerfed in I13 so now it's just not very good at all.

Skill is still important in PvP, but thanks to all the attempted normalization in I13, build is more important (go figure). If you want to be really successful roll up a Psi/Energy or Sonic/Energy Blaster and go to town.
  17. The SBA proc works two ways:

    1. It has a chance to proc on you at the time you summon the pet with the IO slotted, and
    2. Will check for every attack the pet it's slotted in uses once that pet is summoned.
  18. Base buff gives 20% (?) recharge for an hour of playtime.
  19. "Elec" and "fun experiment" don't go together in PvP. Elec is by far the worst PvP secondary - but if you're dead-set on using it, go with Aid Self. Tough adds a negligible amount of resistance after DR.
  20. RGB slider values are 38/31/0. I was going for a color that mostly matched my powers (I do that with most of my toons) but that wasn't so dark I'd lose track of scroll bars against darker elements of the UI, like the map.

    EU pvpers?

On the plus side, rumors are floating around of cross-server arenas (in fact I think I remember a redname commenting on that at Comic Con). At any rate that'll at least make the arena aspect of PvP seem a bit larger (probably a good thing as the population begins to die off and consolidate).

    Domi Farm???

45-50 Freakshow give standard XP. Sub-45 Freakshow give 1.4x XP (at least that's if I'm reading Culex's chart right).

    Domi Farm???

Freakshow don't give more inf/XP per kill, per se, but they do rez sometimes which basically means double rewards for a mob.
