Yep, I had a wonderful time last night too. I'll call you.

Quote:Hate to say it. But RtR can be a complete hack and slash fest and still be successful. And RtR can be done with as few as (maybe fewer) 15 people. Hami raids take at least 30 (yes there are successful Hami raids out there done with only 2 teams, but you're also talking about one of the groups who created the attack plan), with a lot more focus and coordination. I know that lack of regularity you're talking about affected neither Woeful's nor my raids. Therefore, there's likely an even larger contributing factor to last night's failure. I'll leave it up to you to figure out what that is.I feel that a general lack of regularity with Hamidon Raids on Protector is likely the largest contributing factor to the failure of last night's Hamidon Raid. (This is not a knock at the normal Hamidon Raid Leaders it is simply something that may contribute.) Rush the Rikti works like a well oiled machine because we do it every week and some times twice in a single night. A few months ago (I want to say August) we completed four Rikti Raids in a single night due to having two Rikti War Zones going at the same time. I know RWZ2 had two successful campaigns and I was informed of similar for the primary RWZ. If Rush the Rikti was not done as often as it was I feel that the second zone would have had only a team or two and lack the people necessary to complete the task.
I will certainly be joining any Hamidon Raids that come up to better learn the ins and outs of Hamidon Raiding. -

Great job on a hami raid well done. And thank you to everyone who showed. ^_^

Just a reminder the raid is tomorrow/later today depending on which time zone you're in.

I use its predecessor, jkDefrag, on Vista. http://www.mydefrag.com/ It's free as far as I can tell.
Back when I was on XP, I have an old copy of Norton SpeedDisk for NT4 which I could install without the rest of Norton's crap. -
Don't get me wrong. I'm excited to see someone else willing to step up to lead a raid. But have you led raids before? Because this isn't something you'd want to dive into head first.
-
I would not consider an evacless raid at this point simply because it's been at least a couple months since a raid has been done. Virtue does this (more than once) every week. So I know the strategy is sound. But I would recommend going with a strategy that Protector knows and then try something new after everyone's more comfortable in the goo. With that said, let's set the time and date. Saturday the 12th, 2pm Pacific/5pm Eastern.

Just letting everyone know that this is the time we're going with for the next hami raid in case there are people interested who hasn't been following the other thread. Please let me know which toon(s) you are bringing/can bring in this thread and not the other thread so it's easier to get organized.

How does Saturday the 12th sound? The 5th would be way too short notice and the 19th is likely to be bad for me.

It just seems like thing's been kinda slow lately so I've been hesitant in calling for a raid. If there's enough interest, I'd be more than happy to lead or help with one.
-
I would go for that too. But I also think that it's not good for the long term health of the game.
As for the original question...
Between 3 accounts, boosters, extra slots, etc., Herocon for two as well as making Comic-Con (thank god I get into Comic-Con as an exhibitor) and PAX both years, I don't think I want to know... -
Was looking for a turkey day thread to post in and not seeing one. So here it is. Happy turkey day!

The way I look at it, the survivability of those pets are very low. Out of the 4 stats affected by the various pets, the only stat that benefits the toon outside of combat would be +recovery. So I tend to favor the +rec/+def pets.

Quote:Don't suppose you can make it an option for users to run comments on or off in their CP? I know it's a lot more work than to just pull the plug. The other thing you can do is copy the old usercp.php to an alternate filename for those of us that would like to be able to track comments. That's not what happened. The rep system still works the exact same way it did. Viewing rep comments on a Users CP was turned off due to the fact that it was too easy for users to bypass the ignore function and those not wanting to even take part in the rep system were forced to do so. It had nothing to do with moderation as it's very easy to moderate rep comments and those leaving them.
We still would like to find a way to implement it so the comments are viewable however we will not do it unless we find a way for those not interested in it to turn it off. -

Is it possible to select a list of names to include instead of selecting only 1? Or select 1 name to exclude. >_>
