I'd forgotten how hilariously murderous the changes had made Claws. The animation and recharge speed is so fast that just taking Strike, Swipe, Follow Up and Focus creates a slotted up attack chain that's little more than a human rights violation. I don't take anything other than single target attacks with Claws, it's so brutally relentless that you essentially devolve into being the most powerful DoT effect in the game, you just stand next to stuff and it suddenly becomes afflicted with 'Status Effect: Dead'.
I'm a bit mental. -

I always liked the powers in the Energy Melee list, but I could never get passed the pom-poms.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh hell yes. It got even worse for me after I got a Peacebringer and saw how awesome their melee attack animations look. They'd be perfect for Energy Melee.
I mean the energy on their fists when they attack, not the resulting huge explosion that looks completely over the top next to the damage you actually end up doing. When my Peacebringer started her criminal career the Hellions I initially attacked started clapping politely and threw me quarters for the impromptu fireworks show they thought I'd just put on for them. -

I think what VD is trying to point out is that he/she is tired of GG's comments.
And to be frank, I do too. It just gets annoying, tbh.

The irony! It buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurns! -
I'd say capes don't need to be level 20 anymore because capes aren't special. When CoX implemented capes it was a pretty big thing, because CoX capes were the first capes that didn't suck harder than a black hole. They were a selling point. They were special.
Anyone can produce a half decent cape now, having one is no longer awesome. -

Sorry, you can do what now?? How are customisable weapons milestones?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, no Talsorian stuff until I grind out a hundred or more Vanguard Merits in the warzone starting level 35. -
[ QUOTE ]
Afraid not. You need to create animations for every power individually. Doing so means changing every keyframe so that it not only works, but looks right. This is why Shields took so long.

No, sod 'em. It's going on The List. After I've marched up to NCSoft and called out and defeated Jay in the style of Achilles from the film Troy on the issue of loincloths, Castle is getting the same. -

...Make a New New Years Baby...

I wanted realism but that is going a bit too far

And it wouldn't even work for me! Not that Blue Rabbit would get a choice about trying anyway.... -

Now I'm wondering what that kind of stasis protection would look like

A giant fan. -
Use Dark Melee with it. With some Frankenslotting from the new Accurate Healing IO sets you can have your cake and eat it too, by making Siphon Life an accurate heal that hits like a freight train and doesn't cost too much endurance.
It's almost like cheating! *giggles idiotically and sucks out Cynics soul* -
I don't want to pick a fight with baby New Year. You seen that kid? That's one seriously muscular baby. Be like picking a fight with the unholy little death machine from the end of The Incredibles.

Not if you're on the other servers ;-)

Well you shouldn't be. -
Yeah, getting any of the inventable wings is easy. Golden Girl is like a soup kitchen for them.

I was there with a controller back in the day, miss the days of Prof a lot. These days I mostly just hang on the boards and write bitter messages about the good old days.

You need to work on your bitterness. -
Earning things based on level isn't what annoys me, even though it takes ages for me. The problem is things based on Task Force for me.
Since I hate the world, which by default includes all of you, and I only spend about four minutes on an alt before bouncing to the next one in my list, getting onto Taskforces isn't something that happens to me. Even worse that my Global list consists of....Blue Rabbit and Golden Girl. Who are about as useful as a box of frogs during the second plague. I need people I don't hate who are more than eye candy. -
Congratulations, someone else has gotten a hold of your account password. One would assume this is through whatever form of spyware your computer is invariably riddled with. They'll just use a bot to log into it and spam stuff to whoever is online.
There is no need to change the account entirely, you merely have to clean your computer, change the password, use a firewall and download avast. MSN and any email account linked to it is a remote access service based entirely around the security of a password (well, I think with MSN anyway, it uses email accounts as users and would have to make that remote check to know the password is right), it can't be 'infected' or permanently hijacked or some such thing, it's on someone elses server. Changing the password is all you need to do to lock them back out again, and make sure that the method using for obtaining your password is killed.
And don't ever have your MSN set to remember your password. Or anything else for that matter, it's just mental. The password then has to be stored somewhere that isn't the secure Hotmail server (for example) or your impenetrable brain. And if it's stored in any other place, it's potential to be accessed by scum is vastly higher. -

Problem with the current no level engine Ollie is that somehow they are to easy for a lvl 50 and way to tough for lowbies.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's their health, which is the same as a level 30 enemy (I think...ish). They scale up or down so you'll do the normal damage you would expect against an equal conning enemy, with the same degree of accuracy. This means a level 50 can crush them even more easily than the normal enemies they face, and a level 1 is still incapable of hurting those enemies due to their masses of health.
I've actually made a thread that pointed this out about Rikti Invasions before, that you should always SK people as high as possible so they can do more damage. Unfortunately this simple concept is just way too advanced for many people to grasp, and they won't listen, ironically telling you that you have 'no clue'. -

Plus, in terms of achievements, I didn't think I could top humping Stasis over a table in the middle of a crowded pub in London with Bridger and Rockjaw watching (and FG cheering me on, the sly dog. You gotta know when to quit.

Just like Civil War, nearly. /Signed?
[/ QUOTE ]
Wasn't Civil War just a Skrull plot?
[/ QUOTE ]
No. They took advantage of the situation though, the Skrull Invasion went a lot better for them thanks to Starks various initiatives and policies with registered heroes and SHIELD after the Civil War.
You get to see some of their mass meetings in flashbacks during the invasion, and in one of them they're commenting that the heroes are doing their work for them. The entire Civil War was constructed on the back of Tony Stark and Reed Richards, who instead of pointing out to the authorially retarded denizens of the Marvel world that Stamford was THEIR fault for actually watching and placing a demand for a reality show of a bunch of unsupervised wannabes fighting supervillains, decided to essentially enslave the heroic world.
Oh and another thing, Wolverine discovered Nitro only managed to blow up Stamford because a company called Damage Control (or something) which rebuilds after super conflicts, had been producing and distributing a drug that makes superpowers go unstable and massively more potent so there'd be more damage for them to get contracts for. This little detail appears to have been entirely forgotten, because it makes the registration side and the Marvel general public even more stupid, and as is obvious from reading the whole thing, the authors are really, really, really struggling to make the conflict a whole 'whose side are you on' moral grey area, when in actual fact it turned out to be 'Captain America couldn't get more right, you'll wish he'd cut Iron Mans unworthy head off when we're done'. -
Nah, it's not worth it. None of your pets has any kind of taunt or ability to keep a hold of aggro, and enemies often just keep switching targets.
As such a resistance boost becomes largely pointless, especially since your secondary should be doing the job of protecting your little squad anyway, and the damage bonus Serum gives is nothing short of laughable. -

Just like Civil War, nearly.
[/ QUOTE ]
To be like Civil War we'd have to have Ms. Liberty drafting supervillains into the Freedom Corps to help against the heroes, and establishing effective Longbow martial law over Paragon City. Meanwhile Positron and Manticore build a robot Hero 1 in an attempt to convince the world they're right by abusing an iconic missing hero. This fails miserably, because the robot murders Apex.
Eventually Statesman will be captured because he won't kill Ms. Liberty by tearing her arms off, and instead of backhanding the moronic reporter and telling her that knowledge of NASCAR and MySpace has absolutely no bearing on knowing the difference between right, wrong and freedom, he'll wearily accept it and be killed on the steps of the City Hall by an Arachnos sniper with a special rifle or something.
Statesman is replaced by someone nowhere near as good...Foreshadow or something. Ms. Liberty is effectively given control of the city, and replaces the PPD with Longbow. Everyone completely forgets Positrons utter moral collapse during the whole thing and treats him exactly the same. -

Six month vet is what I am currently on.

Oh. Well you can always see if you can make any of the invented wings suit you. Or go to NCSoft and punch someone in the face until they flag your account as a 15 month veteran.
