Or have powerful new enemies you'll never see solo spawn as teams get bigger!

Of course you cant move at all with those powers active and you forget about the regen WP has as its main way to migitate damg :-)
[/ QUOTE ]
Regen which means absolutely nothing when you've only got an AV to regen from and he/she is smashing away half your health every hit. And why exactly do you need to move when you and an AV are toe to toe busily beating each others faces in? This is exactly the situation in which Willpower fails next to other sets, it specifically can't deal with spike damage.
Damn that logic, it's such a pain! -
An argument of, "I'm right, how things feel to me is universal truth and you're all male genitalias", doesn't work, not even with the wit and elan I put into it.
-
King Khorak is an SS/WP Brute. The Rage crash makes him so painfully boring I can't be bothered to push him from 44 to 50. I hate it. We now interrupt your smashing for a jarring ten second break, enjoy the boombox emote in the meantime.

I think the reason might be because using accents could be a way of getting around the profanity filter.
[/ QUOTE ]
The profanity filter should be a test, anyone who can't get round it is too stupid to be allowed to play. -
The combination isn't seen so often because it is overpowered, it is seen together so often because the two sets are the most common superpowers in comic book collective conciousness. "But Khorak!", I hear you cry, and stop looking at my butt, "Invulnerability and Super Strength are the two most iconically common super powers!". WRONG, BUMFACE. Totally invulnerable heroes are rare, we want our icons to lose more claret than a fifty car pileup, we want visceral, we want struggle, we want.....Willpower. Oh they're tough enough to go through walls and chew bullets, but they're gonna have that dramatic head wound or inexplicable bleed from the mouth, generic random red patches like some sort of video game damage decal that appears when you're under 50% health, they're gonna win the fight by not being great big pansies, sucking it up and just soldiering on....instead of having a face so unbreakable they win Homer style by just getting wailed on until the foe are exhausted.
Fifty percent physical resist with Tough and a whole lotta guts, that's proper superhero. -

i guess you never worked in a factory where it mainly men then... if you don't swear there, you are not heared..... it took me a year to stop swearing when i left there
[/ QUOTE ]
Damn right. I told people to f off so much the whole area would shout it in unison before I could when anyone asked me to do anything. Then the laughter. -

Strangely enough sappers dont give my controller *any* issues at all.....
[/ QUOTE ]
Because you have a reliable hard control. Some other power sets also have this and likely wouldn't have trouble.
Which is why I said I'd have them go around in pairs at least, because only Controllers and Dominators can risklessly Hold more than one enemy at a time. Anyone else would get immediately drained by the second Sapper. -
I agree with ShadowGhost, it looks like in-universe speculation. It makes sense for them since they've already seem the DE do things like this.
For us though, we know that it should be incredibly unlikely, it would go against all the setup the Igneous have in the Hollows arcs. They have their own language, the DE speak English. The Igneous don't care about ecological preservation and restoration, otherwise they'd be all over the River, instead they are quite explicitly guardians of the Cavern of Transcendence, and are probably an entire magical species created towards this end.
The Igneous essentially control the Cavern, and whoever controls the Cavern can use it as a gateway to anywhere. If this were the case, the Devouring Earth would have been taking advantage of it. -

It's the phraseology that often gets used - "No problem, thanks for replying!" or words that mean pretty much the same.
The unspoken implication is that they feel they need to thank you for actually taking the time to tell them why you're not interested. Which further implies that lots of other people don't.
[/ QUOTE ]
I get that a lot. I can type out 'No thankyou' so fast I usually do it in-between attacks. Many people seem surprised I bothered. -
It suggests nothing. It just says it's the first area to ever be considered a warzone. Talk about reading into stuff too much....

/Mental I have no problems with, its pretty robust. (Lvl 41 Archery/Mental. A lot more fun). At the end of the day, secondary is not so much bout damage, but utility. Your primary should take care of psi resistant mobs. Love the Drain Pyche and PSW!
[/ QUOTE ]
I like /Mental as well. In a fit of utter insanity I actually made a Sonic/Mental Blaster to be a teaming death machine. Why? Because it has a ranged cone attack even more powerful than the standard cone attack available in most Blaster Primaries. And Sonic has a couple of them.
The idea was to be able to throw out Howl, Psychic Scream and Shockwave in a rolling cone attack chain of DOOM, they're 'normal' attacks so they recharge quickly enough to just keep on hammering the pants off groups of mobs.....I haven't actually gotten her far along enough to see if it's really that good of a plan.... -

Wouldn't it be hilarious if we could make 8 man team sized spawns of nothing but Sappers with the Architect?
[/ QUOTE ]
And the map, when fully revealed, is one long corridor creating the outline of a fist giving you the finger. -
I think you can use them for any power that uses targets, like the ones that suck endurance out of enemies or Dark Melees buildup replacement.
-
I found it amusing that for years you could't say God. Allah though, that was alright. Presumably because the Muslims are more explosive in their lobbying.
-
Just be happy Malta aren't even more brutally cheap than they are. If I were running them, Sappers would operate only in paired teams and there'd be one team for every hero.

I've noticed this happening if I don't level up to lvl 2 straight away if I gain any more levels it doesn't go to the tray.
[/ QUOTE ]
I always level immediately up to 2 because I need the second attack before I go on a roaring rampage of death throughout Atlas Park, and Rest still never comes up. -
Apart from me until a week ago of course. I didn't even know you could turn the damnable in-game filter off until Blue Rabbit referred to me as being of the female persuasion and directed me to deal with it. Previously I just thought he was really good at guessing when I said his Widow looked like a big purple....
So anyway, I just called a guy a 'tiny God' in Steel Canyon (I didn't know about the /sync command either) and he wasn't insulted. Obviously he must have his filter off because it would have looked like I called him a 'tiny %&£$%*' thanks to the filter which doesn't seem to like Christian belief structures. Thank God (see, I can now) GR dealt with that for the forums when he arrived.
So how many of you actually remove it when playing in-game? -
[ QUOTE ]
Hmmm Archery... I wanted to roll an Archery hero but keep sticking to defenders for TA. Maybe i should try this build after i get my new two heroes on a good level.
[/ QUOTE ]
Do it man! It doesn't even have a build up time of needing to get to a certain level before it's awesome, it does it right from the start! Snap Shot and Aimed Shot are practically their own attack chain! -

BTW: Why on dxp do more teams seem to think that upping the rep and picking missions that are +4/5 to most of the team is the way to maximise xp flow? Number of teams (and of longtime vets) that seemed to do this and xp suddenly slowed from a torrent to a trickle interspersed by Hospital trips...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, that's really quite irritating. Enemies that are +2/+3 are quite enough for a DXP weekend considering you'll be pretty much just running through entire armies of them non-stop. I think it's better that way at all times, it's just plain boring when you have to stand there sizing up each and every spawn until someone just Leeroys in. -
Got a DM/Inv Scrapper 1 to 20, a Claws/WP Scrapper 1 to 24, my AR/Dev Blaster from 18 to 22 and when I got in last night at midnight I went mental with an Archery/Dev Blaster I managed to get to 11 (she went from 2-11 without bothering to level) before going to sleep.
With the amount of time I waste alting and generally not playing and always solo, it was a huge achievement for me. Those two Scrappers were a real success, because the problem I have is the hump getting to 20 when I can start grabbing Stamina or Quick Recovery, because downtime really wears on my willingness to keep playing a toon. That Archery blaster is utterly awesome as well, it's like the Blaster version of Claws, absolutely wonderful, low recharge and sod all endurance cost making it just an utterly relentless pain train.
Big shout out to whoever Nova S Warshade is, whose team was was such a relentless runaway success that the Claws/WP scrapper got to level 17 with literally no enhancements. I eventually swapped for my AR blaster simply because not being able to contribute was causing me mental pain even though no-one else seemed to actually care! -
I smell some sort of boxing match(es) to determine NCSoft development priorities here. Someone get it organised!
-
And Blue Rabbit would know, he ends up eating dirt so often he's become more genetically comparible to a growbag than anything else.

I agree that the Valk cape should only be available at level 20 not before.

I have a choice of axes to use when people express opinions like this.
