Would think girls have the awesome button, not guys

    [/ QUOTE ]

Both genders are hiding an awesome button in an orifice they both have.

Yeah but it was pretty awesome, right?

When the news broke, only a handful of people did not join the doom-mongering crowd.

    [/ QUOTE ]

One of them was me. Unsurprisingly, I was right.

The next time you think something terrible is going to happen, just feel free to ask me for your opinion instead, I'm happy to demonstrate common sense to you all again.

With the mas lay offs at NCSoft Brighton it seemed that a EU server merge was close.

A bug is a bug, regardless of good or bad.

What, you going to say the respec bug that allowed Kheldians to get unlimited slots shouldn't have been reported? Extreme example, but you can't have double standards.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I find a different Kheldian bug useful. Hit level 20, grab White Dwarf and run a respec. Congratulations, now you can slot all the White Dwarf powers from level 1.

My Peacebringer has every single slot she's ever gotten in White Dwarf, a power you get at level 20.

    Hover buffed

I have Hover on melee toons all the time. My first and only 50 is a hoverer. The only problem I had was the animation, and they fixed that a while ago. Now my account has a a fair few toons who don't even bother with footwear anymore.

Well since its a axe thread i thought the khopesh was more of a blunt ritual weapon.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No it's a functional design, it was used a great deal throughout the Egyptian area. That was over three thousand years ago though.

    Please reply!

I always reply to a tell if I see it. Except fills, I put them on ignore.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Because, if you make an exception for the fighting pool, then how do you justify not doing so for Flurry, or Jump Kick, or for every other power that cause redraw? The answer is, you can't.

    [/ QUOTE ]

What a surprise, I have to say it again for the guy who doesn't bother reading stuff.

WE DO IT ANYWAY AND IGNORE YOU.

Putting aside that you'd have to be stupid not to notice that unlike Boxing and Kick, the other options of Flurry, Jump Kick and Aerial Supremacy are intrinsically two handed animations like Katana and Dual Bl-....oh right, it's you. Forget that, no worries.
  11. [ QUOTE ]
Currently, the rule is, if you use a power from a different set, it causes redraw.

If they changed the rule for the fighting pool, they would have no justification for not changing the rule for all other sets as well, which would lead to an exponentially massive amount of work for BAB creating all the new animations.

    [/ QUOTE ]

What a load of nonsense. This isn't Middle Earth, we haven't forged One Rule To Govern Them All. It's a simple case of just doing it and ignoring people like you.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
why pick Axe when you could pick Mace, aside from concept?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You wouldn't. The normally pretty good devs completely screwed up any concept of balance by first making Mace a better AoE set, which was fair enough, but then making Clobber and Shatter superior to Swoop and Cleave. Jawbreaker, Shatter and Crowd Control have guaranteed or almost guaranteed knockdown/up so that negates the previously awesome knockdown mitigation Battle Axe had as well.

Even the damage type is better. Lethal gets loads of resist against it by pretty much any form of robot because they're 'bullet proof' (I'd rather be shot than hit with an axe, just so you know, that's how different the effect is), while Smashing gets a free ride. S/L may be the most widely resisted damage pairing, but out of the two, it's Lethal that really gets the shaft, only really catching a break against the worthless minions of the Banished Pantheon you can slaughter wholesale regardless, and literally the most ignorable Devouring Earth plant type enemies (rock men are where things get hurty). Even those stupid Crey minions get Lethal resist from their kevlar jackets! Forget the massive battle axe my friends, you'll need a blunt object to get the full benefit against this mighty fabric.

I wouldn't even claim that concept is a reason to pick Battle Axe over Mace anymore. The devs have screwed up the balance so far the other way, it doesn't even make sense to use Battle Axe when its upgraded version 2.0, Mace, is right there.
  13. He probably won't remember. No doubt he's just woken up in a hungover haze of strong carrot shine (like potato shine but it helps you see better afterwards) and matted blue fur.
  14. Wheeeeeeeeeee! It's Rabbit! *hugz*
  15. Yeah the price is the same. In fact, just click through that you're buying it and the proper price comes up on the next screen to confirm charging your card.

Id have to agree here, with certain set recipes at 80+mil each you would be hard pressed to make money in any other way. Im glad i dont use recipes at all really, only have 1 toon with the standard 50 IOs, but he and the rest of my toons perform absoultely fine with SOs. Its all jst like badges .. padding to stuff in your crotch and say 'look how big mine is!'

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually IO's can be extremely useful, and even minor playing around can be very satisfying. Stop giving a damn about the expensive sets with awesome set bonuses and go for other ones or just indulge in some frankenslotting.

With IO's you can easily get much higher percentages all round. I recently had quite a bit of diverting fun IO'ing out my 32 BS/WP Scrapper. For the cost of only five slots each attack has the same or better percentages as an SO scheme of Acc, 3x Dam, EndRed, RechRed.....with every single attack given the coup de grace of a comparitively cheap Touch of Lady Grey chance for negative energy damage proc. Since I did all this with full sets of Smashing Haymaker (with a cheapo Acc/Dam/Rech from Focused Smite to round out the numbers) and five Multistrikes, I got some fun little set bonuses as well for my troubles. I'm not one to turn down free goodies.

I did it for twelve million, a sum of influence I had built up merely through normal gameplay and still had after usual full slotting of a toon, and had nothing to do with bragging rights.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
When you are soloing with a ranged AT a power whch KBs all mobs close to you can be very useful.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, the same set has Lightning Clap eight levels earlier, with an animation time that won't get you turned into chunky salsa.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
So, the reasons are largely personal - if other people prefer a set that's cheap and easy to softcap but lacks any other useful tools besides defense, well, more power to them. /e shrug

    [/ QUOTE ]

I find /SR to be insultingly rubbish if not paired with Dark Melee myself. No other Brute or Scrapper primary has enough utilities normally found in the defense secondaries that can fill the gaping holes in /SR. And then put together the combination is, as far as I'm concerned of course, orders of magnitude more unbalanced than any other combination for all round PvE efficiency. You just ain't gonna die, and can smash the f*** out of almost everything.

God bless negative energy, somehow dipping into the myriad horrors of a nether dimension is way more useful than poncy hippy magic.

    What's that thing? Explain please.

The Aution House is shared between the US and EU. When we go to sleep, the vastly more numerous US players pile on and stuff the Auction House with transactions. Because they're throwing waaaaaaay more pieces of salvage on sale, the price hammers down during the night.

Then we get up and start playing, and the prices gradually creep back up as all the cheap US stuff gets bought out. At the time of writing this post, an Alchemical Silver was going for 100k, fgrom when I started in the morning at 20k. Compared to what the market looks like when we're awake and playing, you can put on a load of bids overnight and you'll get a bucket of bargains thanks to the yanks.

    He's nearly naked?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Khorak gets a lot of doubletakes, since I think the Valkyrie belt works really well with the male 'Bare' option for legs. Boots, gauntlets, pain pads, helmet and the metallic equivalent of a loincloth are all he's wearing.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have a guy similarly dressed to that, Omicron King. He has jet black skin and is naked apart from the Valkyrie skirt and a crown.

I asked Morgana to design that one for me. only thing I asked for is that he looked imposing and had jet black skin.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I consider it something of a double standard though, since frankly he's just not that revealing compared to many other female toons.
  22. Maybe Neko should put some on and provide photographic examples.
