  1. Although it seems something has gone wrong with the login process. At present it is 50/50 if it will let you login. I am going to get emo out of bed to have a look at it as I am supposed to be working

  3. Yep seen it, dropped a patch in, although will need to work out how you got there with an invalid user object, which is the only thing that it can be.

    All my databases have a primary key of id int(11) unsigned not null auto increment. Makes life easier for writing things like class controllers and database objects.

    One thing that is a little annoying is that the errors are supposed to come to us in an email and not plastered across the screen.

    Actually it was down to a database join connecting the user table to the mission table, both carry an id identifier and since the last one was the user, that's the one that got passed in the final return fieldset.

  7. Good spot. Looks like the author id is overwriting the arc id. Will have to get a fix for it.

    Anyway, Site update.

    Added date searches to the search page.
    Added the extra options to the search page.
    Added tags to a mission, These are freeform text and can be anything you like (keep it clean though). These can then be searched on by typing them in.

    More to follow.

    You would need something there though. If I had an arc that I mark sd1cn1av1 and someone else had sd1av1 you would need to search for wildcard characters to pick up both arcs. As one is missing the additional element.

    I think people are missing the point of the code system. Firstly if a suggestion could alter the search to include pictures, checkboxes or other enhancements. The codes become an encumbrance. The codes are instead of code alterations. At present someone could add the codes to the current existing system without any changes as they would be part of the arc title. Which with the current system is search able. Consider what we currently have, not what improvements could be made to it. Based on that the codes are a very good idea.
  18. Well just to buck the trend. I like the idea. Unfortunately I can see many people invoking the "stuff you" principle just to be jerks.

    I think the bottom line is that the search system is not very good and seriously needs a rethink.

    The cityofguides has a much more advanced search system and I (I kicked Emo off this bit as he is too slow at times ) am in the process of writing a better version of the mission system.

    Actually that's a superb way of giving people an optional "god mode" for testing their arcs properly too. Just pop a non-vanishing Insp a few times to fight the AV / EB so you can check their ambushes or other dependent conditions trigger correctly.

    Gets my vote too. I have run my own arcs a couple of times then had to break off and go buy more inspirations, as I want the arc to be just on the edge of insanely tough while still being doable.

  21. I have to agree with FFM. I know a couple of people that are not on superfast broadband, and would like a copy of the game in original format. I can(did) cut them a copy from my client but an ISO would be nice. It could also get distributed via something like torrent so it would be much quicker to download. I know some games actually offered there updates as torrents at one point, can't remember who at the moment though.

    Bug Description: When entering a MA mission it is almost as if all my inherent powers are turned off. This is most noticeable with characters that I have slotted 3 run speed in swift, but while running the stats for things like defence and resistance. It is clearly seen. If I wait a short while or toggle a power off and on again, all powers kick in and start working. I am able to reproduce this with any character, any level and every mission I have played.

    Example 1 : I entered a mission with an inv/mace tanker. My resistances were showing as about 40% I toggled sprint on and off and it jumped to 60% (percentages are best remembered so not 100% accurate). There was no enemies near by.
    Example 2 : Regen/dark stalker with 3 slotted swift. On entry to mission speed is sluggish and at pre swift levels. Toggling sprint on and off makes the character move at normal speeds.
