It is illegal for a lady to eat chocolates on a public conveyance.

Luckily that doesn't count here - I'd be a multiple offender

Tempting, so tempting, but no, it's Thanksgiving...

    Hahaha! Golden Girl is fat!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Eating a little chocolate now and then is fine - especially if you exercise a lot

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't think it is the eating chocolate part that is being refered to.

    Time Bomb

Time bomb. My advice would be drop it. Far too few times when it would actually be of any use what so ever. I had it for a while and don't think I ever managed to cause damage with it, without toe dropping it. Much easier to set a pile of trips mines and caltrops. Then pull enemies to it. Takes less counting too.
  5. Soo many soopids. so little time for them all.

When I was nought but a newbie I didn't know about trains. So I used hover to cross perez park to get into atlas.

Finding out that team invisibility is a click not a toggle while standing knee deep in baddies was a good one.

However I think my biggest, dumbest one was when I made a bind on my tanker that said "I can take you without my armour" and turned off all my tankers armours. I then forgot I had it and found it again while tanking lord recluse and a couple of his pals. very, very messy.
  6. Ah feck it. That looks close to what I was going to use myself. Now I shall have to redesign or get accused of copying.
  7. Excellent guide although there are a few points I would like to raise about it.

In my opinion, you first need to decide what kind of Empath you want to be, a partial Empath, taking a few attacks, or a total Empath, in which case primary powers are kind of irrelevant unless you are building for roleplay reasons.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Empathy is you primary. Total empaths have very little from the secondary attack set until much later in the build.

    [ QUOTE ]
Volatic Sentinel which can dish out damage while you heal your allies

    [/ QUOTE ]

Personal choice and my experiences with emp/elec would say forget the pet. It can draw attention to you when you really don't need it. The damage it dishes out is not really worth the aggro it draws.

Clear Mind. I found this was one of the main powers I was using in later levels. Keep an eye on your team mates and the team icons as to who needs it. Essential for fighting enemies that do large amounts of blinding, e.g. Arachnos. However it is also worth noting that you can remove sleep from people with healing aura.

Fortitude. I find controllers and other defenders make extremely good use of this. Most scrappers, tankers and blasters are close to if not over their attack/defence levels. Controllers and defenders can attract a lot of aggro and really benefit from the increased damage and defence. Also if you have hasten and slot 3 recharges you can usually get about 3 people with Fort on at a time.

    Power Pools.

Fighting. I can't remember who wrote the guide a long time ago that put this best (I think it was sexylady but can't find it now ). You are a lover not a fighter. The team takes the beating and you defend them. Tough is just a toggle that drains, a lot, of endurance.

Opressive Gloom not useful for an emapth O_o. I would say it is very useful. Anyone that leaves the tanker and comes to play with you gets a stun for their trouble. Also very useful for getting in close to use HA on melee characters.

I have an Emp/Elec and found that slotting all AoE attacks with endurance drain was a huge help to the team. Short circuit and ball lightning at enemies near the tanker to drain the enemies. Tesla cage to help controllers get containment on bosses and when it looks like it is going wrong. Thunderous blast and run like hell.

No No NO.... read the rest of the post, we don't HATE you we love you, you grab the Agro that would otherwise squish us!

    My Darks hate you

It's not even like the toggle is even shiney or anything!!!

Who's scared of a bit of aggro when they're all quivering in fear, lost in swirling darkness and standing next to fluffy?

Funniest one I ever heard about anchors was from a D3. He thought my fire/fire/fire face planter should not aim for his debuff anchor. AoE and PBAoE really is that easy to mis things with

    US server exodus

I never understood the practice of using a boss as an anchor. If I am playing as a scrapper or blaster the boss is my first target. Get the big bad one out of the way. When I am playing a character with anchor powers I tend to use a lieu. Is that just me?

    [ QUOTE ]
So what's some dimwit crying about his anchors getting killed got to do with a supposed US server exodus?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think the implication was that the US server was more likely to nurture and care for the n00b and not recall friend the fool onto the nearest GM.

Personally I don't care if the n00b go to the US. The US can have them. We will take the newbies.
  14. IBTL

This is some really world class trolling.
  15. By the way if you don't have a PBAoE or other suitable power to draw them out you can always ask a n00b to go investigate the smoking ground. You can always get a nice under level 10 and give them inf.

disclaimer: I don't condone the use of low level players as bait purely for the purposes of badge hunting. You should do it because it is funny as well.
  16. Quick sub question to the one in the OP. Where are the patron pool contacts? I expected someone to pass them onto me, but nope nothing. My MM is now at level 45 and no patron pool. Although I intend that state of affairs to continue. It would be nice to be able to tell other people where they are.

I was wondering when someone would post that.

As for personal space. I know what you mean. It even irks me at times. I know there is little we can do about NPC but I have had people walk into me when I have been on a rooftop. I mean come on, there's a whole rooftop and you just have to walk into me.

    PUG Fun!

You know I have been saying for years (smeg has it really been years.. now I feel old ) that PUGs are some of the best fun you can have. Especially the really, really bad ones. As long as you don't mind debt and know when to run. You can have hours of entertainment watching a bunch of n00bs get creamed. Of course it gets even better when they just won't let you give them advice. I have lost track of how many times I have typed "let the tanker go first", "maybe unyeilding is not good for a level 5 character", or of course the classic "anyone got rez?"

Well... the true testament of healing ability would be to group with my blaster or group with BiG Rab in any form... if you can keep either of us up for a few missions then you must be the best f'in healer in the world

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have yet to find an empath or group of empaths that can keep flamin nora alive. Although her attack chain does end with RotP
  20. I always like the twin combination of fuisionette and the arachnos guy (whos name slips my mind at present). One summons drones that are miles behind for most of the time and the other likes to aggro rooms.
  21. I did that mission yesterday and she vanished into the lift never to reappear.
  22. minor point but don't you have to be in the same zone for it to count you in the mob size calculation? I know you don't have to enter the mission, but I always thought you had to at least be in the same zone.
  23. Personally I think it will be an extension of how the base editor works. As this seems the most logical thing to do. You would have all the usual stuff and a pick a map area. So you select a map, then go into it like you would a base and place other things. You would have spawn markers, possible glowie markers, Final room marker and the like.

That's 3 times now I've petitioned a mission (latest one was alevel 40 boss in mission when I've taken it at level 35) and 3 times the email telling me I wasn't online has dropped into my inbox less than 30 seconds since I log out, even if I've been on for hours since the petition.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I can't really say that's been my experience. I tend to get the email usually a good 24 hours later...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Looks like I'm getting the efficient shirkers, whereas you're getting the lazy ones.... wait, what?!

Edit: Better and better - now I've just got an email saying "Thanks for your feedback..."

That's wonderful, thanks for that reply... now how about actually doing something about the problem?

    [/ QUOTE ]

hahahahahaha... oh wait you were serious. I have yet to have a GM turn up to a mission let alone fix anything. The funniest one I had was about 12 hours after I sent the petition for a 90min timed mission I got a "you weren't online" email. Really no sugar sherlock, and oddly the mission isn't a problem any more.
  25. I have had the same mission. I solved it using auto complete. I only mention this as it could be that either something in the mission is just not clear or this is a bug that could maybe do with some dev time.

As for GMs I have come to believe that they are shadows of reality. They don't truly exist in the same way that the servers do, but are instead figments of the imagination. Tied to automated email servers that send out "you weren't online" emails and other automated responses. They drift between users on the servers desperately trying to grab a little bit of reality from the users they assist. Most of the time the ebb and flow of the universe keeps them away from us and outside their reach and control. At others the servers are as real to them as a table is to us. That's when they can indulge themselves and assist players in an orgy of control and power.

I, however, have yet to see one of these mysterious creatures.
