  1. Nemesis: "This isn't what I had planned."
  2. Wait, wait, wait... you're telling me we don't enter an endless recursion of time at the end of August and a future does exist?

Fine, fine. Here's my complaint. Everybody is using black and red on both sides of the game now.

Based on how many you've said you've found... you're NOT a casual player at all... or you're OBSCENELY lucky. You know how many purples I've gotten? 3. THREE. And I've done loads of Task Forces, and many farms.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Scout's honor: I play maybe once every two weeks now (that's not by choice either; I've had a 4hr daily work commute for the last 4 months - the result of taking a new job in a hurry after both hubby and I got laid off from our jobs within 2 weeks of each other - and both on our birthdays! You just go ahead and work out those crazy statistics! Oh the things we do to get by and survive nowadays...).

A year ago, I probably played for 2-3 nights a week but I only ran TF's on the weekends (about 1-2/month).

    [/ QUOTE ]

I had the luck to get a two purples in the past two nights playing about 4 hours each night. It's not casual, but good luck does happen.

Huntsmen and Fortunatas definitely have a lot of extra hold protection.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Huntsmen, for sure, get lots of holds protection. I had just rolled a mind dom and hit one of these in my first mission for Burke. Domination is up and I hit him twice with Dominate and he's still coming at me. Quite frustrating.
  5. I can conceive no reason to say no. More options on costumes is always a plus. Yea, here.
  6. The "after" Tina still makes my eyes bleed. Those are horrible colors.
  7. With steamy mists, maneuvers, hover, and some set bonuses I have around 19% to range and aoe. Couple that with the debuff from hurricane and you're pretty solid. I've used the fighting pool on other trollers though and it is nice, but I'm not sure it's worth giving up the power picks in this case.

I don't think they're allowed to make fun of us unless they use their redname accounts.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I heard they've all be banned from the forums already. The only accounts they have left to post with are their redname ones.

Thank you, Masque, for bringing the PvPEC's points to the table. Primarily that G_F doesn't represent the group and secondarily that this sort of activity is frowned upon.

-Unfortunately- I'm sure things of this nature will continue to happen. Whether it's another trolling attempt or a flamewar or even an accidental breaking of the rules. People on the forum will see the PvPEC tag and attribute the negative connotations of the poster as being typical for a PvP player and thus for a member of the PvPEC.

That's thanks to the negative stereotype spread by so very very many members of the PvP community who have -left- thanks to the i13PvP alterations. But the stigma remains.

I'd suggest asking each member of the Commitee to put the following signature on their forum accounts.

The above post is my own, personal opinions or facts I've located on the topic. I do not represent the PvPEC except in the pursuit of garnering more players and promoting our wonderful events

    Or something to that effect.

I should hope we're all smart enough to realize this without a disclaimer.
  10. I hate to sound like a build-dictator, but taking accelerate metabolism at 6 is a must. I would couple it with hasten so that its recharge, recovery, and damage bonuses our up more often. With both and some set bonuses making them permanent is an achievable goal.

It seems like you're pretty set on being invisible there so I'll provide this alternative. Take one of the stealth procs + superspeed and you're effectively invisible in pve. Assuming you take superspeed you could put the proc right in it. In the spirit of Dr. Strange, you could consider it slowing time as you move around with the enemy unaware.

Also, Propel is a power both fun and frustrating. It's a wonderful grab bag of degrading things to throw at the enemy, but you'll often find that it activates much too slow while on teams.
  11. Grav/rad would certainly give you an easier start. Grav and kin are both late bloomers so pairing them makes for a rough 20 some levels. With /rad you're going to have the benefit of a damage debuff and a tohit debuff for when controls aren't working and those both come early. Be warned, though, it's endurance heavy.

As for dealing with bosses, gravs a little tricky in low levels. With mind, for example, it goes: dominate, levitate, dominate. The boss usually gets one shot off before he's thrown in the air and held before he gets up. The trouble for grav is that its hold applies a -kb effect. So once you apply the first hold, your knockup isn't doing squat for mitigation. So your options really are limited to stacking that hold fast or using a quickly recharging Lift to ragdoll them around.

I've been playing a grav/storm so I generally hit them with immobs and toss them around with Lift and Gale. When I solo or work on a small team they rarely get more than a shot or two off. I then save the hold for the second most dangerous target.

P.S. Not sure how many agree, but I always take Hasten with a troller. Speed is key to stacking magnitude and the later AoE hold has a hefty recharge.
  12. +1 bat of smiting...

In a way, this thread fills me with hope and warm fuzzy feelings. Look at all the folks who came to defend a lifestyle not their own. I like that empathy and heart-felt regard for other people's right to pursue happiness.
  13. I've always found the immob's more helpful by maintaining a good angle with Hurricane rather than just negating the kb. I find it easier to sweep up groups that aren't free to run around. A little knockback never seemed detrimental as long as enemies weren't scattering around on their own so grav's and dark's immobs have always been fine with me.

I also call a 30% increase a pretty damn punitive change - but that's just me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You missed the bit where that was 30% increase over a permadom.

    [/ QUOTE ]

A 30% increase in what exactly, over PermaDom?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    [ QUOTE ]
The increase, as I pointed out before, is a little under 15% total, while the damage increase is a little over 30% total if you compare to Live Permadom, or up to 85% if you compare to Live standard. So yes, enough damage to merit the change in endurance. Very much so.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Damage.

  17. I've always find Mass Hypnosis useful. For example, softening the alpha strike from a mob, give them the Mass Hypnosis/Total Domination combo without worrying about return fire from those you miss with the hold. Also, great for chilling out an ambush or an over-aggro'ed mob or setting up containment for Terrify. On a team without a tank, mind feels even more useful with its aggro free controls to take out the alpha strike.

As for damage, I've heard it said you need to leverage big mobs with mass confusion. In fact, I'm surprised someone hasn't popped in yet to comment on it.

How the heck does one nerf roleplaying even if one wanted to? It just doesn't make any sense conceptually. Has the meaning of the term changed completely with me being unaware of it?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Word filters! Filter everything so that we can only use the terms "lft", "ding" and "gratz"!
  19. That's a handy tip that I hadn't considered. I'll be sure to use it next time I'm running a tf.

    Gravity (Again)

Here's a thought though this would likely have some unpredictable and unpleasant results. A gravity well like power could spawn several pseudo-pets in a circular array, all using a telekinesis like power, to create an imitation of a -repel power. I'd imagine they would all have to target the same creature though and their tk effect would have to have a range slightly longer than the radius of the circle.
  21. I'm putting my money on seeing the Warriors in the Hollows. They are supposed to be connected to the Outcasts, right?
