That explains why I can get XP (64 bit) for 30 bucks. I initially thought it would be a cheap and easy solution!
How expensive do people think W7 is going to be?

I have an HP laptop (Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00 GHz 2.00, 4G RAM, nvidia GeForce 9600M GT) and unfortunately, it runs on Vista. Blech.
I'm wondering if anyone has tried downgrading to XP on an HP laptop that came preloaded (without choice) with Vista? I've heard horror stories about Sony laptops coming wth Vista-specific drivers and licenses that don't let you downgrade to XP...
