Should it be showing 4Gb of video memory?? or is that just showing what would be shared available?

yeah I only ever have issues with CoH on Ati, only one system here uses an ati card now, the rest are nVidia, I dont think i want to use Ati anymore, honestly.

Do carnies only come out at different times of the day? I don't remember. I must say I usually haven't had much of an issue hunting carnies, but then, after 4 years you kinda get a 'feel' for where particular spawns like to hang out.

One thing I found interesting though was during the numina TF. Defeat the Council in Boom Town.. that mission has gotten rough! you know how fast the 5Th column go through those things!! xD

Hmm. i'd figure a 7900 GS to be pretty decent for CoH still, the misses used to have one, it fried a little bit ago, but I swore it ran better than her 8600GT replacement.

Update.

Swapped the monitors, my wifes worked fine on my computer, my monitor still looked bad on hers. Must be the digital converter inside my monitor, so i left it on analog for a time.

Then for no real reason, I decided to unplug my monitor over night. the next day.. the Digital DVI connection worked, its back to its old self again.

ok people. if you ever have weird glitchy monitor problems... unplug the bugga for a day >.<

Something tells me that the on/off switch.. is just another way of saying 'Standby' on this thing! O.o

Ok, I got a doozy for you. Last night, I play a little City of Heroes, then switch over and play a little Modern Warfare 2. Then I check the forums, my e-mail then switch off for the night. No problems, no issues.

This morning I switch on.. I hear the windows chimes, screen is blank. Hmm. I reboot. Same issue, only this time i mess with the mouse, a pointer appears, then as i slide it over to the side, it scrolls my desktop over, the resolution doesn't look the best either. I think Hmm extended desktop or something O.o ? . I go through my settings and nVidia's menus, there is nothing out of place. I even selected something different then set it back just to re 'apply' the settings. no dice. I find if i set the resolution to 1024x768, it fits the screen, anything else, it doesn't fit. I set my resolution back to 1680x1050 and let it go.

Here's where it looks interesting. I go into the monitors own onscreen menu, under information its showing as 1024x768, even though im set higher.

And more interesting still, I plug in an older 9 pin vga cable to the monitor (it has both) and use an adapter on the end to plug it into my graphic card's DVI socket.. Tada its perfect!

So why would my DVI cable grossly oversize my monitor yet my older one will not? Is the dvi signal decoder in my monitor scrambled? is it just the cable ? I have tried this on another graphics card and the same result happens. Is this something that happens from time to time?

hehe even if i could track em down to ask, i doubt they'd remember XD

Ok. not sure if its just because of the Holiday event or if its actually character related (ie you've earned enough cash no more for you! XD ) .

Put together an 8 man team to run the Maria Jenkins AV arc at lvl 50. I had saved it until I was 50.

The entire event took several hours. I walked away with...

3 Invention Origin Set Recipes, Crushing impact, Exploted Weakness, Pacing of the Turtle
5 Generic Invention Origin Recpies, 2x range 1xAcc 2xDam
Not quite enough salvage to fill my slots and of course a full rack of Regular SO's.
The entire thing we had 1 purple mentioned, one from the sleep set.

That to me, seems a little lackluster. AV's were really only dropping SO's or Salvage. Now, I normally have better luck, even on regular missions. But I've noticed the pickup rate on several of my characters has really faulted, but on others its just fine. Maybe something is up, or maybe its just me, I don't know.

I did manage to collect about 15 mil in influence though .Over all I am happy to have done it. Thankyou Justice! You never dissapoint

what server your character on?

if you want to set aside the time to run the massive Doc Q, it helps to get in the right channels to schedual it. I've run it a couple of times since stumbling onto Justice.

though after each one I always think 'never again!' 5 hours plus is a lot of time to just sit there. XD still people are willing to do it, 100+ merits, tons of drops and about as rare of a badge as you can get XD

Yeah the changes to EA have been great.

way back when i made an em/ea brute, but by the time i had hit 19 i was tired with it and it sat for 2 years, since then though, thanks to the changes I have come back to it every now and then, glad I hadn't deleted it. Now its another fun build I get to mess around with and to see what I can get out of it.

oh and I can totally see pairing it with dm, even now. hehe all that debuff plus a self heal, helps any set XD

yeah some mobs have a higher chance of hitting.

Also at +2x8 thats a lot of enemies, and higher level enemies have a better chance of hitting you so the soft cap doesn't apply as much. But it still helps! SR can be godly thanks to sets. I have an Ma/Sr with 48% melee and ranged i think, plus aid self, and its tough. But some enemies still manage to see right through it >.<

Its almost just like my fire/fire scrapper, some mobs your god like, others.. well if you dont hit them hard enough you'll have to run, rest up and hit em again before they take you out.

Logged in for a few. discovered that if someone was offline on my global list, they wouldn't even show, some were showing as characters they had logged in eariler and not the ones they are on now.

Also, Looking at the 'shard' or server they were on, it was showing 'jsion m ' instead of Justice.

Is this just a Justice Issue?

Ohh yes it is fun. lots of fun chaos that actually functions! controlled chaos.. if that makes sense . Even though i've started other controllers before it, its still my first and only lvl 50 controller

yeah I gotta say its a little skewed as well, now normally I don't comment but yeah every character i've got has run into this.

Got one I created a few months back , lvl 28 , hasn't even seen a present or a candy cane.. I start popping presents.. I collect the badge 'Toy Collector' I look at my alotment of candy canes.. 11 O.o .

However I'll try and delete some inspirations and see if that makes a difference

Yeah my Plant/Storm/Stone is a beast. i've used it to lvl up many a lowbie, it'll waste away maps full of minions. Its shortcomming is simply single target damage. Which can be alieveated by the epic (siesmic smash is a nice crunchy attack AND a mag 4 hold). I still haven't gotten a fire/kin to 50 yet, indeed i haven't gotten any other controller to 50 yet, so I can't comment on how the 2 compare, but it is definetely a mob mauler.
