amd 2.5Ghz dual, Xp 4Gb 8800GT
amd single core laptop, Xp installed, Ati xpress
intel 2.5Ghz dual, xp MCE 2Gb 8600GT.
they all do it *eye roll* -
Gotta love finding an error that only comes up on SOME PC's , not all
I've been gaming in CoH for the better part of 2 hours, settings at maximum with FSAA and AF set to x4 , Its currently gobbling up 1.1 Gb. I've seen it use more, couldn't tell you specifically why. Honestly, I expect CoH to start using up more memory and cpu resources now, even with ultra mode disabled.
Reason being, I've noticed that even some of the older costume pieces have been revamped. I have a female character in 'tops with skin' option and was commenting just today that her t-shirt looked a lot better now as the texture has been improved. higher resolution textures will mean more to load in correct?
I am catching some lag when exiting missions, but that is it, other than that, no issues on both our main pc's .
Tex if it helps, we are running
(pc1)
Windows 7
amd dual core 3Ghz
4Gb ram
Asus nForce 5 Motherboard AM2+
nVidia GTX260 197.44 drivers
(pc2)
Windows Xp Pro Sp3
amd dual core 2.5Ghz
4Gb ram
Foxconn nForce 4 Motherboard S939
nVidia 8800GTssc 197.44 drivers
Beta testing for a couple of other MMO's , I've caught more than one instance where the issue came from the motherboard chipset. Even between different revisions. For example, in one game, we found that nForce 2 boards were working fine but nForce 4 were constantly timing out and disconnecting, basically making it impossible to do anything in game.
Best of luck guys. -
About that beer i owe you!
xD nice one -
They're still a little toasty, and consume enough power >.< Don't think im being picky, I run AMD in my rigs atm, but I feel more and more that the next upgrades will be intel
-
My Updater keeps saying I have run out of room (even though there is plenty) on my drive or that I don't have enough user rights (even though i'm running as administrator) . Then when you restart the updater, It starts to 'fix' the cityofheroes.exe and a random pigg file.
This has happened on 2 of my computers now, it WAS just happening on test, now its happening on the live update today >.<
I am now running my laptop to see if it behaves the same -
Eh well, tried that driver.
no change on my 8800GTs GTX260 or 8600GT.
I was hopeful -
Yeah, my Rad/Sonic blast was already brutal against AV's
-
Oh yeah, omg. not being able to multitask would of turned my pocket pc into a glorified media player >.< Multitasking was a MUST for me as well
-
Yeah with Justice being the unoffical (offical?) Aussie server, there are a few channels worth hitting on Justice for Teamage!
-
Oh i've seen lots of great ones
I have screens shots too, i'll have to upload them all somewhere.
1) zoning into Galaxy, all the Traffic (Cars/Trucks etc) were in the sky O.O driving around on invisible roads
2) I watched 3 boxes sliding down the street, make a few turns, then open up the door to a shop and dissapear inside
3) Watched a bunch of Hellions just standing waiting in a tram station, then when a tram pulls up, they all went bezerk and rushed inside
4) costume creator bug, I had a dual pistols dual blades scrapper! O.O how long have we waited for one
5) was defeated in a Safeguard mission, I clicked goto hospital.. nothing happened, I suspected lag but clicked again... nothing happened, but then I pressed the forwards button... my defeated body starts sliding around. Eventually i SLID to the darn Gurney and waited for my character to get up -
I would love Pocket mids! OMG that would be awesome.
I have tried the online one, it works, I just never got into that version. Used a program to download the wiki (Yes I have a TON of storage)
ON a side note. A year or so ago, someone posted about CoH running on the iPhone. Since I've had pocket Pc's for years and that my current one out performed the iPhone (no idea on the new revisions) I thought i'd look into it.
Its a trick really, you use VNC (Virtual Network Computing) in other words, the iPhone was being used as a remote control with a view port. I found a good Pocket Pc VNC client and fired it up.
My pocket pc is a Dell Axim (for this experiment I had it clocked at 890Mhz!!!) with a VGA screen. After a lot of messing around with controls, it worked. all be it at about 8 frames a second, it was kinda low. Tapping and dragging on the screen with the Stylis worked Just like a mouse, no issue there, even the arrow keys for moving around were already mapped to the pocket pc's D pad, the center button was Jump, Just program the other 4 buttons on the pocket pc to the powers you'd use the most and away you go!
The good thing about this was.. even ultra mode would work on itafter all, it didn't have to worry about the processing or graphics work, the desktop was doing it all. The bad thing, the screen resolution kinda threw me off and I couldn't play too well. Even changing the windows scale to as small as it would go was difficult to use.
At the time I was considering doing a write up on it, but devices are comming out now that can run it Natively, (like the now mentioned iPad and the OQO) that are small enough (especially in the OQO's case) to carry with you on the go.
I myself am going to wait a little while for another device. My Pocket Pc does just about everything you can think of (Heck i've even run Windows 95 on it). But mobile devices becomming more and more powerful i'll wait until I can get something that I like and can run it, and still fit in my top pocket -
So hurry up and get it downloaded already and stop hogging the bandwidth!
what? I just hate waiting -
yep, the wife and I got the download, make sure you don't skip the updater when launching ;D
-
FREEEEM!
oh wait, not this year xD
...
could we combine the two ?
-
Congrats on another orbit around the sun Guilibean!
-
Look, I don't mean to start rumors...
but you just couldn't help yourself
but yeah i agree with them being kinda similar -
Maybe thats why there are 2 different test server version numbers up.
-
I am on the test server now though, does that mean i got in from the loyality program or something? O.o
have recieved no email
cannot see the beta forums
confused
also deleted my other posts. just in case -
Gaaaaa come on come on, let me in!
*starts gettin the DT's*
it'll be alright i promise, i promise, PROMISE IT MY PRECIOUSSSS! -
i didnt want to have to download that massive .mov version but the wmv links were giving me a 403 message, thank goodness for KMplayer, no need to install new codecs (quicktime bugs the hell out of me).
Other than that, yeah, the wife and i agree.. that whip is hawt. -
I've seen more than my fair share of STF's fail at ghost widow. Teams that you would swear were the perfect make up to get the job done too.

Quote:Sounds right to me, all of our powers stemming down from a specific point and branching out, almost like the tree of life i guess xD and by us building upon that power we begin to get in touch with its true potentialDoesn't Percy's late level arc hint at the powers all being simular in a way? Maybe incarnate was the first true super origin and all the other kind of evolved from it. That way incarnate levels are just you reaching the pinacle of your power and there by coming closer to the sorce of the origins.
