This is starting to sound more likely. That its a client issue not a network issue.

I don't know how reliable 'Verify Files' is but you might want to try it.
  3. Yeah the locations of the presents need to be looked at. Because one has been spawning right by Nightstar in Imperial City. The ugly thing is that this is also right next to the train station. So not only can you not use the trainer, anyone wanting to use, or comming out of the train in the zone is insta squished.
  4. Welcome to paragon city!

and don't worry, most everyone was a newb once.

    I on the other hand....

who am I kidding. I'd played RPG, FPS and stratergy, City of was my first MMO. I didn't even know how an MMO worked. First time I went to fight some hellions, I had my character scoot around a corner when a pistol was drawn thinking I had to dodge it like on a first person shooter.

    my how far i've come
  5. successfully installed and both gaming rigs. no issues with either one. Infact, I think there is a slight image quality improvement.

The Alpha slot is currently in working order in the latest build, but the interface is crappy, which naturally won't be its state upon release. I think it would be reasonable to expect its release within ten days or so.

    omg!

want want want want want want want want!!!!

I'll even take the buggy version right now just to mess with
  7. I am thankful that the first MMO I ever tried was city of heroes. Others have been tried and left behind, yet here I am. I have had a great time with City of Heroes over the years. Just yesterday I got me shiny 57 month vet badge.

Keep up the good work devs! don't loose contact with your community, and I wait ever so eagerly for the next City of Heroes Issue
  8. and again i'll be working the entire time Gahhhhh! Its been years since i've had time to do a double xp weekend. Lousy unsual work schedual (work weekends, off during the week)

Perhaps a version of King of the Hill where one holds the hill and the other player sends challengers until he takes it where upon it becomes the first player's turn to do the same. Capture and hold each room (which turns different colors on the map depending on which team Captain holds it). Oh, and none of this is limited to two player. Eight player King of the Hill or Capture the Map would be interesting.
This! Thats all it would need, put your mobs against another players mobs, perhaps some are faster than others, or stealth etc, so that the most powerful fighters might not be the best to use depending on your objectives!
  10. No worries rangle. I like bustin me shield/electric out The misses actually got one of the prizes for her fire/fire tanker! woo! she loved my fire/fire/pyre tanker on protector so she made one here
  11. Well, I for one would love more incarnate stuff. I have really enjoyed taking my 50's and running more content on them, making them stronger. For me, if it hit 50, it usually means I actually had fun playing the character. I've never pl'ed anything to 50 just to have it. So.. more content and power for characters I already enjoy playing? win win!

NCsoft launcher? I never had an issue with it. though it has been a long time since I used it. I decided to check out that dungeon runner game that was free and the ncsoft launcher was the only way to run it (i think, its been a while).

That said, its unneccessary software, which means I don't want it either. I try my hardest to keep my pc's running as optimally as possible. This seems to keep me out of trouble. despite every issue bringing new rounds of 'coh is broken since last patch' subjects in the tech section. none of my pc's have ever had an issue with it, and I'd like to keep it that way! Thankyou.
  12. Ahh bugga. my fire/fire/fire tankie is on Protector, and omg does it melt mobs!

still my almost 100% complete shield/elec/mu is on justice, ready to SMASH!

hehe just noticed, its 1 TT off my birthday where's next weeks?

    Real Vigilante?

Not sure if it should go here or in another section. But found this article and thought it might be of interest.

    http://www.smh.com.au/world/dressups...107-19itw.html

A masked superhero vigilante called Phoenix Jones has taken to protecting the streets of a small American town.

Jones, who wears a black and gold costume, patrols the streets of Lynnwood, a town of 35,000 people just outside Seattle, Washington. He wears a bullet-proof vest and stab-protection gear under his outfit and carries a Taser stun gun and pepper spray. Sadly, he does not have a fancy vehicle like Batman - instead he is driven around in a Kia by a female sidekick who does not get out of the car.

The adventures of Phoenix Jones mirror those of the plot of Kick-***, a film directed by Matthew Vaughn in which an ordinary teenager tries to become a superhero.

Advertisement: Story continues below The vigilante told a TV network he had been stabbed and threatened with a gun more than once since he began fighting crime nine months ago.

However, he said: ''When I walk into a neighbourhood, criminals leave because they see the suit.

''The average person doesn't have to walk around and see bad things and do nothing.''

He recently prevented a car theft, chasing away a criminal who was breaking into a vehicle. A witness said: ''From the right, this guy comes dashing in, wearing this black and gold suit, and starts chasing him away.''

Phoenix Jones is thought to be part of a nationwide group called the Rain City Superhero Movement. Its website says: ''A real life superhero is whoever chooses to embody the values presented in super heroic comic books, not only by donning a mask and costume, but also performing good deeds.''

I like the clockwork shoulderpads as well. good stuff
  15. Giving my Elec/Elec on Champion an I19 make over. inherent fitness and what not. Teamed up with the misses right now, a fun combo. Hopefully I'll make it there for Tuesday.
  16. were 2nd builds introduced before or after i13 ? I think that would solve a lot of the issues pre i13 pvp might of had.

first build for content, second build optimized for pvp

I rarely venture into pvp so I am not sure, but when I do, I check what character I am on. Some are more single target, others aoe based, I understand which will do better and which wont

    SS/Inv

I have also found unstoppable useful when fighting stuff that does a lot of end drain. If you lose your toggles, hitting unstoppable about caps your resist on its own and offers mez protection!
So if you're barely able to hold your chin up, you'll still be able to carry on tanking without being held/slept etc and you'll still be pretty dang sturdy.
  18. Hmmm

perhaps "CohUpdater.exe -usetexenvcombine" in the shortcut? I know it solved an issue with a friends laptop but that was a couple years ago. He was having the same issue though.
  19. i love playing my kin/nin on and off. its currently lvl 37 I have invested in some IO slotting to buff defenses already, Touch of Deaths, Zephar, etc. So far, its my favourite stalker
  20. ran on my earth/thermal. after Stoney took the alpha holds kept her, well, held the entire fight... err slaughter.
  21. Only ran on a couple of characters. So far no issues with my controller. I was scared of what she might do to my fire/fire/fire scrapper (all that cold damage right?) because of fire aura's weakness to cold. now i had tough and winters gift slotted so cold resist wasn't tooo bad. I went in their blazing and she melted.

am not looking forward to taking her on solo with my blaster
  22. I think this is a continuation of another bug we've had for a couple of issues. That is, you'll download a patch, then you'll get a warning message about not having enough room or the right privilages, but when you click the ok button and reload, it patches.

I belive this new bug is just this getting worse >.<

    Invuln advise

My Invuln advice would be to click those links in 'Call Me Awesome's' sig there.

My invul tank went from being my worst tank to my best tank thanks to the right IO's .

He's got more defense than a stoner without the speed and damage penalties

though i still like playing my stonies! just saying
  24. ahh bugga. didn't realise. Ran into them in a tip mission actually!
