Another side thought.
Not everyone who's "evil" believes that they are. We have more than a few historical/literary references where the "Villain" is doing what they do because they believe that they're acting for the greater good.
For Example: Lenin and company started a revolution that overthrew a government they felt was corrupt. Were the Communists evil?
History has shown us that the system became corrupt and collapsed but they did not consider themselves evil.
In comics, villains like Dr. Doom feel that the world would be a much better place under their rule. They are obviously superior (they believe) so they should be the ones making the decisions. It's only their methods for achieving this that define them as evil. -
Corruptors solo very well. Think of them as a blaster with added control features.
For example: I play a sonic/dark Corruptor which at my current lv (38) gives me all of the sonic attacks PLUS an AoE sleep, a disorient, tar patch, healing, fear, rez, a debuff, and (FTW) dark servant.
No blaster can match it. Take a look at Corrs. You might like it. -
well, there's the old standby of Invent and sell. Sure you might not need the lv 10's but you might be able to make a bit of inf off of them. Or, if you have a SG with lower lv members, they might be able to use them.
-
Maybe Caleb?
He's (its) a CoT GM. I don't see it as often as the others. -
HAve you looked into the possibilities of the Rikti War Zone or Cimmeroa?
-
Correct on the fire shields. Get those going on a medium to large team and you're basically looking at a white screen and guessting where the targets are.
-
I'd give the edge to /rad. I'm a bit more comfortable with the debuffs over the heals. I'd rather not get hit in the first place.
NO disrespect to Thermal, I just like /rad better -
Not sure this has been mentioned in canon but as far as I can tell it's biggest negative effect is a decrease in intelligence over time.
Strong like bull, smart like box of rocks. -

Masterminds are Villain AT's too!
[/ QUOTE ]
And Masterminds are, simply, an army of one. Your choice of five minion types with controllable movement. When played right, an MM can become something like a Panzer Assault. -
[ QUOTE ]
If someone really wants to lend a helping hand then a buff or non-damaging debuff is usually welcome. I was definitely grateful to the passing controller who feared a very purple Paragon Protector who was in the process of shredding my scrapper at the time
[/ QUOTE ]
This is the only kind of interference I accept. And the only kind I'll do. I'll throw buffs and heals at a player who looks like they might need them but, otherwise, I'll stay out of it until someone drops.
As for kill stealers, I have a bit more direct way of dealing with them. Recently, for example, I had someone follow me around Mercy and jump into my fights. They were at my level or perhaps one lower I think. After a minute or two I found the biggest baddie I could (red to me), tagged it with a throwing knife, and proceeded to lead it back to the kill-stealer. I spent the rest of that fight running around the stealer putting them between me and the NPC. It wasn't long before I saw the "logging out in..." message over their head.
I take great pleasure in noting that their character "died" before their counter ran out. I then calmly finished off the NPC and went about my way.
I don't mind getting help, but at least be polite enough to ask first. It might be the start of a good team. -
you actually have the option to rate other players.
from paragon wiki:
Player Notes
You may now rate players and write notes about them.
The notes are stored by global name.
The note list is stored locally on your computer and will bring up the same notes for any character you play with.
It can be invoked by typing /playernote <name> or by clicking "Add Note" on context menus.
There is a new option to display the rating you've given a player above their name.
Additionally, you can enable private message logging to store private message logs on a per global name basis.
Only you will see the Player Notes that you write and ratings you give. Since these notes are stored locally on your computer, other players cannot see your notes and ratings.
Conversely, you will not be able to see any Player Notes or ratings that other players may have written about you. -

shut up you! you're not allowed to talk about FF anymore
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm still allowed to talk about them, I'm just no longer allowed to act as if I am the omniscient force fields know-it-all. Now I'm just the FORUMS omniscient know-it-all!
[/ QUOTE ]
And being omniscient he all ready knew all this.
[/ QUOTE ]
Being omniscient sounds like a sweet gig... where do I sign up?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hah, if you don't already know the answer to that, you're not qualified for the job. -
the goldbricker pack is the first two missions of marshall brass' arc. you might not get those if you hit him after lv 15 (i think)

pfft- you all have some good suggestions, but it still doesn't look like the one answer I'm looking for, therefore I guess I'll have to just stay in CoX FOREVER..... or until I find the answer to beating this game.... which would be never......
Looks like I'll be here until they turn off the lights on good ol' Paragon City! Even though some peeps leave, I'll most likely be here when they come back for a visit!
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually I think you've hit on the way to beat this game....
Be the person with your hand on the switch when they turn the lights out. Last one left, wins. -
We're a pretty casual bunch here.
Welcome aboard by the way. -

can anyone suggest a good solo corruptor build?
[/ QUOTE ]
Sonic/Dark. You will pwn things so hard you'll travel back in time...and pwn them again.
[/ QUOTE ]
Seconded
With Sonic/Rad asanother option

/thirded.
I think of my sonic/dark corr as a ranged brute with strong controller tendencies. -
I've had a lot of luck with my ill/FF combo. People I team with have declared that set to be almost unfair. /rad is a good partner as well. being able to debuff targets into irrelevance is always a good thing.

What was the original event behind the zombie hordes? Was it a deliberate act or some kind of magical accident? Is it a side effect of the troubles in Salamanca and Astoria?
How much do the midnighters know about this and what are they hiding?
I've been wondering about this for a few days. Perfect time for this thread. -
Another solution or two.
1. a teammate with recall friend standing at the door just waiting for you to trigger the alarm.
or
2. (this one requires doing the mission a bit later) drop an oroborous portal right next to yourself before you click the last glowie. as soon as you trigger the alarm, jump out and all is well. -
I have to give the edge here to Corruptors. They have a better overall damage output. Controllers can solo pretty well but it's a bit slower and requires a lot of patience.
Corruptors can blast holes in things. Controllers more strangle them to death. -
Funny thing is, the stupid buggers still let me join the club. Even after I robbed them blind.
To quote the master... "I wouldn't join any club that would have me as a member." -
I have managed to get out the door successfully ONCE. I left the glowie closest to the exit until last and hit it with fly running. Then, like everyone else has said, I did a kamikazi run for the door. My health bar was deep into the red but I made it out.
HAH, so there Midnighters. -
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!
anti-doom -
A bit of tweaking, maybe a redesign of one or two in test that just weren't coming together quite right.
I still want the burning forest back.
