How do you complement a well played Trick Arrow Defender? I don't want to hear "nice heals" anymore. What does one say?

    Good arrows?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Other then the obvious choices of "Good Job" or "Nice Work" I'd say "Nice Shooting" or, if I was having one of those moments...

    "Way to Bow"

just my soggy two cents on the matter

edit: HA! got in ahead of PK.
  2. Looks like it might be over anyway. Seems that servers are coming back up.

no one cares about the chat bug? thats worse to me then the mission map bugs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

the chat bug, while annoying, usually won't cause the game to crash or interrupt play. Mapserver issues will. I hope they get the chat issue fixed soon but this is a bit more serious.

    2 hours!?!? really wow

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think they usually say 2 hours for a maintenance session. Could be less.
  5. its in announcements now. server maintenance for map crashing issues. check for Avatea's latest post
  6. [ QUOTE ]
nah it'll be 6 hrs before anythings posted which means someone isn't doing their job. lol

    [/ QUOTE ]

    sorry, post is up now.
  7. Mayhaps they're going to wait until the servers are down before they post. Lets see what we get.
  8. Just saw the 30 minute warning for a US server shutdown. Has there been anything posted yet to explain?

    Thanks.

I really don't like being where I'm not wanted.

I want to make fun of people that WANT to tolerate me making fun of them.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hm, I think theres a bit of a contradiction somewhere in there but point taken.
  10. Kinda surprised you haven't already.
  11. You? Give up that easily? I am disappointed.

Stay. Be yourself (whoever that is nowadays)

I'm not sure that I understand your post?

Both of them have sent me to Lorenz Ansaldo in Sharkshead, as I recall (but my memory has been a bit faulty lately). Have you been sent to someone else?

Just trying to understand, not flame....

    [/ QUOTE ]

Both Kalinda and Burke send you to talk to Lorenz but Lorenz doesn't actually give you a mission. It's kind of set up as a two part mission.

I think that's what to OP was getting at.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
I suppose that is a good point. I did think that 'X would look like Y if only I could tint it' would be more prevalent. Rad would make a good swarm-control tinted black. Gravity makes good 'Energy field control' if you tint it blue.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I was just thinking that if you tinted things around the black/gray range, you just might get something that was near invisible on most mission maps. We'll just have to see what we get to play with.

    ... bubble rifle? O.o

    [/ QUOTE ]

I could see this as one of two things either:

    a. throws a detention field - with the appropriate recharge so it isn't too annoying.

    b. throws force bolts- not much damage but lotsa knockback

I'd throw a vote in for a "sapper" setting as the top power in the set. Hey, if Malta can do it, why can't I?

Just my soggy little two cents.

It should be worth noting that changing the color to octarine triples the power's effectiveness.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Only if you're magic origin.

[/ QUOTE ]Oh, I thought that was a given.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But would that trigger random ambushes from UU staff? Maybe catch the attention of the Arbiters of the Universe?
  16. [ QUOTE ]
    Sooo. . .
We have cotton candy defense/offense, Pee ice, and water-manipulation, and a bunch of people tinting their colors to something more interesting?

    O.o I'll be honest, I expected a little more.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, it's hard to make serious plans based on two pictures. Me? I'm going to see if I can manage something close to invisible.

    A Teaming Badge

    [ QUOTE ]
I am talking about teaming in general to get the badge

I dont speak of the Mentoring Badge,or the TF,Trial and Respec Badges,or the V-Day Mission,Badge.

    I am talking about teaming.Period.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think some of the earlier objections were tied to the suggestion that there would be a reward for earning the badge.
As BBQ pointed out, there are already some badges that can only happen if you team and some of those can eventually lead to some kind of reward. With those, another "teaming" badge could be seen as a bit redundant.
Sadly, the topic of badges is a bit of a sore spot on the forums recently.

I still like the general idea. I'd vote for it.

    A Teaming Badge

    [ QUOTE ]
If the XP gain for teaming isnt enough to encourage people to team at all times, I doubt a badge will do the trick.

And I dont really believe people should be pushed into teaming by the devs if they dont want to. Some people just snub you? As in say "no thanks". That's perfectly fine if thats what they want to do.

    [/ QUOTE ]

All true. And I don't see this as "pushing players into teaming" any more than the other badge categories push people into any other part of the game.

    A Teaming Badge

    [ QUOTE ]
and what about the people that solo because that is all they have time to do? as for tying in some kind of power from it, NO. all people would not be able to get this. not to mention the fact that day jobs already offer accolades for some of your ideas and for the others we already have regular accolades that fill these rolls that are attainable by a solo player.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ok, you have a point and, considering I spend most of my time solo, I can relate but, there are quite a few badges already in existance that not everyone can get due to unwillingness/ inability (and I mean this as "not able to for whatever reason) to play that part of the game.

For example: Inventor Badges, Marketeering Badges, Healing Badges, MA badges, PvP badges (do these even exist?), SG badges....

I'm trying not to speak for the OP here but I believe the point was to find a way to reward those players that prefer to follow the story part of the game.

    Eh, to each their own.

    A Teaming Badge

I can imagine that there will be teams put together to afk overnight in a mission.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I had thought of that as well. I was thinking the clock would be a bit longer than the day job timers, but point taken.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or, a variant could be a "missions completed while on a team." This would work around the time issue. I'm sure theres a way around this as well but it's still an interesting thought.

    A Teaming Badge

    [ QUOTE ]
Whenever I come online,I notice that when I look to build a team,a huge majority dosent want to team because they are doing something else.I do understand that some people are genuinely busy as they are altering their supergroup base,or roleplaying,or in a supergroup interview.Other people however, just snub you,or ignore you all together. Here is what I propose..A Badge for Teaming.

The more you team, the closer you get to this badge, and if the badge alone isnt enough, perhaps we can connect this badge to something major and vital, such as..

1)Another Crey Weapon that is much stronger
2)Something that give you more HP
    3)A stronger Military weapon.
    4)Body armor of some kind
    5)More Influence....

Those are just some ideas off the tope of my head. This Teaming Badge would work, just as long as we attach it to something important as though you were reading historical plaques and getting the Crey CBX-9 Pistol

    The End : )

    [/ QUOTE ]

Interesting thought. I could see the mechanic kind of like the SK/LK badges. "You have spent X hours on a team." That sort of thing.
