the inside of the AE!!!! jj don't kill me
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I kind of agree. The inside of the AE building is an interesting design. I prefer the "Quiet room" of the designers lounge just for it's look. -
Nah, we're just thinking of throwing a massive sushi party.
Now we just need about 10 tons of rice and pickled ginger. -

OK, for every theory there are going to be exceptions. Besides, this could just be thought of as "Really Bad Headache".... unless I actually see a head roll a random 2d6 feet away (old RPG reference there. +4 geek points if you know it) it could still be considered non-lethal.

[/ QUOTE ]If he hadn't said "old" (and if it were 1D10 meters), I would have guessed Dark Heresy, since this happens A LOT in that game.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I was aiming at the old critical hit charts from the original Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. The game divided damage into hit locations and that was top of the chart for critical damage to the head.
Now, I think Dark Heresy is an newer offshoot of that so that might have been the closest answer. -
Gah, I so want to able to rotate that picture about 90 degrees. If it's not where I think it is, then I have some hunting to do.
-
Well....ok. Maybe with detonate we've hit one thats about as close to the line as we can get. However, even that has some flexibility.
With Zombies and Bots...no issues. Neither is technically alive so (other than the whole heroic zombie MM question) nobody is going to question their use as a self mobile bomb.
Ninjas/Mercs/Thugs? Well, here's where it gets a bit iffy. Still, if your followers are devoted/fanatic enough in the cause of good, they'll grab the bomb from your hand and take off running because THEY REALLY WANT TO!
That might be a bit of an exaggeration but you see the point. -
Also, from a RP point of view, DB is the best fit for some character types.
Examples: (Using Rapier+Rapier/Main Gauche)
Musketeer
Zorro
Pirate (Think 1930's Erroll Flynn)
Using Katana+Katana or Ninjato +Ninjato
Deadpool
Pick an Anime, any anime.
Using Daggers
Street Knifefighter
these are just a few but you get the idea. -
Lasso also begins with L..
News Flash: Lasso Powerset in I 16 also... -
Agreed, and I was taking liberties there to illustrate a point. The way the body reacts to it however, is similar to the reaction to a poison.
Of course, people react to hot peppers that way too. Hey, "Hot Pepper Trap". There we go. -

The basic arguement works for those two as well. Neither is inherently 'evil' any more than the multitudes of way to burn, blast, chop, mind-melt, ect. that heroes already have available. It's all just a bit of redefinition.
-
Ah but its assumed that, because you're a hero, you're actually hitting them with the flat of the blade to "subdue" them.
Still doesn't explain my ability to blast them across town with a single powerbolt. -
Besides, here in RL we have Tear Gas, a substance that is commonly used in Law Enforcement that is, in effect, poisonous. Basically this is our beloved Poison Gas Arrow.
So, thin though this case may be, an arguement could be made for a "heroic" poison set.
As always, unless a Dev says it, it's all speculation. -
Redefine it as "Nausea Field" or something to that effect? Actually, you might not need to change the naming at all. Just because something is poisonous doesn't mean it has to be lethal.

Make sure and spread the word about this, too! The more people we get participating, the more the love gets spread!

Isnt that how diseases get started?

Then, since this is a Social experiment, wouldn't this become a Social Disease?
Just a Thought
Edit: It's a really great idea. -
Some of the few that stick with me:
The Leviathan Caves in the "Cult of the Shaper" missions (OMG! Are those teeth?)
The Ski Chalet. Particularly the little gazebo partway down the mountain where you can watch people going down the slopes.
Oroborous (sp?) and it's "out islands". Just a great looking zone all around.
Cimmeroa: Just flipping impressive. -
The combos have been made as easy as possible to execute. The next step is highlighted by an orange ring on the power tray. Fortunately, the combos are not a MUST HAVE. The set works just fine without them.
I've found that END reduction is very useful with the set. DB is fast moving and you can run out of endurance pretty quickly. Maybe consider Stamina as you go up in levels.
On top of everything else, its a flashy looking powerset and just kinda cool to use. Once you get comfortable with it, your scrapper/brute/stalker becomes"Whirling Blades of DOOOOM." Definately try it out -
Here's the latest patch notes. I'm sure theres something DOOOOM worthy HERE
-
In a desperate and possibly futile attempt to head off the inevitable.....
This has been discussed before. Lots of times. Rumors and hints suggest that the Devs might be giving us something like this soon but no OFFICIAL word has been published.
Edit: see KK's post above for as much information as we do have. Note: it's not much -

100% Cosmetic. I'm referring solely to a costume option at the tailor.
Not an Aura, but a selectable level of visibility. Either Translucent or fully visible, not a slider. Wouldn't want players making themselves TRULY invisible, after all.
But this should be available at level 1, not 30+ as a costume option for characters.

Ok, I see what you're getting at and I kind of like the general idea. Would you be open to making it an unlockable (defeat 100 ghosts ect.) or IO (i.e. Rocket Boots)? -

I figured it wouldn't be long before someone invoked a Trope or two.
Addictively useful items. -

Stealth powers will make you partly transparent. Although I'm always in support of more auras.
[/ QUOTE ]
I actually do use Stealth for that effect on one of my characters (she thinks she's a ghost---she has issues) I like the idea of making this an aura. Would you see that as having a secondary effect such as defense or something purely cosmetic? -
OK gang, I need a slight assist on this theory.
From what I've read about this ...fool...his main trick was to fear people then 'port them into a lethal NPC. Now, I do remember the name from here on the forums. Mainly shouting about how the Dev's nerfed PvP.
Here's where I need the assist; in the great I13 change to PvP wasn't there a change to fear and Teleport Foe?
If so...Hmmm... maybe Twixt was responsible for Nerfing PvP?
This is just a theory, and I won't be too upset if I'm incorrect on this.
Edit: Just saw HS above. That pretty much answered the question. -
and, if you still have an unopened holiday package, there is still the possibility of getting a jingle jet.
