I play both Controllers and Dominators. I've come to see them a bit like this:

Controller= Being crushed to death by a large snake.

Dominator= Being crushed to death by a large IMPATIENT snake that keeps biting you to get the job over quickly.

You can see the Dom as either a controlling Blaster or a blasting Controller. Either way works. In both cases you'll lock down your targets then tear them up with direct strikes.

For my Mind/Psi Dom, the usual order of events is Confuse target one, Dominate target two, Mez target three, TK targets four five and six as needed. Liberally spread psi darts and mind blasts around usually starting with the Mezzed opponent. Reapply all as needed.

Talk to the Troll dude: Y'all know this one. No matter who your contact is, sooner or later they all want you to talk to the troll guy.

Seriously, now:

Defeat the Sea Witch -- top of the list. kills me at least once every time.
Ambush Nocturne -- From the PCM story arc. If it goes wrong, and everyone dies there's almost no way to correct it other than reset and try over.

Actually, (In a semi-desperate attempt to get this back onto the original topic) I DO still consider 50 an accomplishment. At least personally. I am one of those mythical creatures called a "casual player." On top of that, I have a minor case of Alt-itis. Basically this means I have a bunch of characters that only get a few hours a month each, depending on my personal "flavor of the moment."
As of this moment, I have ONE lv 50 that took me about 2 years to get. I have no real objection to AE, or any other method of rapid level advancement. And, yes, PL-SK-Bridging-ect, ect, are all types of rapid level advancement. As far as the quality of players produced, all of them have equal possibility of creating good and bad players. Those I find worth seeing again, I mark with the rating system (anyone remember that little hidden gem?) Those that are less competent, I might try to help along (If I think they can be redeemed) or just leave them to go their own way.
I'm still proud of my 50. It took me some work to get. My next one will be equally worthy of pride. Why? They're mine.

Hey, I'm at 0 rep. Perfect. I have plenty of company here. I can hide in the center of the herd and let the predators pick off the ones around the edges.

Actually, the rep meter doesn't matter to me one way or another. If it becomes a problem, it can be switched off. I'm still trying to figure out all the more important new features.

Old School - You've taken a character to 50 without ever:
1. Playing an AE mission.
2. Using an IO or even doing the tutorial.
3. bought or sold an item on the market.
4. entering the midnighters club or playing any of its arcs
5. using a mission teleporter, market teleporter, pocket D teleporter, blackwand, sands of mu, or any other item granted by veterans badges.
5. entering the Rikti Warzone or Cimmeroa

and (here's the hard one)

6. without using the Dual Blades, Shields or Pain Domination powersets.

It will be interesting to see how the Devs solve the side switching/money question. I can see several possibilities.

1. even trade- you have 1 million influence you get 1 million infamy
2. total loss- you change sides, you lose all your money. start over.
3. exchange rate- you lose x percent of your cash when you switch sides.


I'm sure there's other options but, as always, we'll just have to wait and see.

Mother's Basement - You've filled all 36 slots on a single server with female characters using the maximum chest slider.

Ok, I think I understand now. I actually use fancy bow in a macro it looks like this...

/macro bow "emote fancybow$$local thank you"

This creates a macro in the power tray called "bow" that has the character bowing while saying something over the local chat channel. You can then bind that to a key if you like.

Welcome to the Game and the forums. We're a pretty casual bunch here so feel free to ask questions.

RP isn't too hard to get into. The posts above have given some good advice on that. I'll just repeat about taking it easy at first.
I'd start with some light RP on pickup teams. In character jokes, things like that. Maybe ask some simple questions to those people who are part of an SG about their group.
Think of it as getting to know strangers at a party. JUst don't be rude and you should be fine.

If I'm understanding this right you want to use that emote for pets? Fancy Bow might not be an emote that pets can do. If the model the pet is based on can't do an emote then it won't do anything.

Naps, Migraines, Throwing People into the Air, Confusion and, the most sinister of the set...Telekinesis.

Yup, being able to levitate people off of high places and hold them there for a few seconds before you drop them.
