  1. create a layer under the scanned layer. Set the scanned layer to multiply, paint the layer underneath, it will show up. Do not color on the layer that you set on multiply.
  2. 6"x8" wacom....I wish I had a bigger tablet though...hehehehhe, all photoshop and years of practice!
  3. This might help a little, not the exact pose but pretty close

    swimmer
  4. It's looking good, but I think and I guessing you do too that it can be betterer!

    Okay here's some suggestions:

her boobs are bit off they could be a little more level

her lower body perspective is different from her top, both knees like that gives her a kneeling feel, have one leg, her right, go straight back.

find some reference for her nose, I think you can give her a cuter nose!

Just some thoughts! As Disney would say, plus it, and then plus it some more!
  5. Here's another sketch, gonna bring it into photoshop and give her some legs!

    sketch 2
  6. Thx the ultimate goal is a long scrolling thingy like Scott Mccloud's Zot.

Next installment: "Has anyone seen my kevlar thong?"

oh I will go back and clean this up, not sure if it'll go to color but most likely at least to inks!

    Alex,
I took a peek at your website and artwork on it... great stuff. It's fluid and organic! Just wanted to pass on a compliment and say that I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product for White Peregrine.

I hate to be the naysayer of the group, but I don't think the last pose is dynamic enough. I think you may want to experiment with a point of view that's underneath him.

    Wacom info again

you got the acad or academic one, I'm not sure how they expect you to prove that you are a student, usually they ask for id, or class schedule before you order, but if you can get it at that price, sweet!

Good move on the bigger one, it's nice, I have a 20" monitor, so I will be moving up to a larger one soonish, either that or go nuts and get a cintiq......my precious.....

That last pose looks awesome. I can't wait to see real wings.

    [/ QUOTE ]

His wings are going to be something else! I won't reveal it, unless WP does, but I'm really looking forward to doing them! I'm just hoping they come off right!

Something else as in something cool, but still wings...I think I'm being clear about it...

    Wacom info again

ooh what size did you end up getting?

    I's got to know!

And I'll warn you, if you ever try one that's bigger than the one you have, you'll want it!

Ever since I tried the cintiq, I've been craving it!!

the sequels get handed off to different directors. H&H I was made by the industry's nutty bugg-eyed Graver, While H&H II was made by the musclebound "no talent" immigrant. Who will step up for number III?

Nice piece! I hope you do go back and do the whole heaven opening and the futuristic city, maybe see a few spires of the celestial city in the clouds?...That would look cool!
