well for a most of the day I was worried that the file was lost forever, but it's still alive! So it'll get done when it gets done! Hopefully sooner than later.

It's cool, I just wanted to let you know that you don't need to worry if you need to redraw and adjust the sketch. I do that all the time when I ink my stuff, I sometimes make huge changes from sketch to final inks. I just didn't want you to think that you weren't "allowed" to correct any mistakes that I made in the sketch. I say only stick to the sketch when it makes sense, otherwise feel free to improve it!

It's coming along nicely, I can see where my sketch might have been too sketchy for any inker. In those spots feel free to redraw any bits, you might want to draw the rest of her left hand and scoot the pic a little over. But it's looking cool!

Not sure if I'll get this done by Christmas, but I'll try!

Thanks, I think my skill level is adequate at the moment, but it'll only get better over time! Unless I play too much like tonight! hehehhe, but all work and no play!

Practice, practice and then some more practice. I taught myself for the longest time, then I decided that I have an fool for a teacher and went to art school. That was after I got a degree in English. So at art school, I didn't care about graduating, but rather took classes that would improve my skills. I've still got lots and lots and lots to learn, but drawing everyday helps, it helps a lot. I like to say a lot a lot, it shows off my fancy English degree!

I go to cons and I see the hot young artists and they are all very good, but then I see the pros that I truly admire and they are old! OLD!!!!! I'll be good when I'm old, I hope! I'm getting there. But I'm impatient.

Here's a small update, just laying in some bas colors, so the additions aren't completely done yet! I was going to do more this morning, but it took forever to create my reference file for this pic (which I should have done at the beginning!) Anyhow, here's how it's going so far!

I'm hoping to get some good quality time with this piece this weekend barring any interruptions from RL.

Everyone will be able to get a desktop of various sizes! Even people not in the picture!

I'm trying different approaches to coloring this piece, trying to figure out a faster more efficient way to get it done, but it's gonna take forever!!!! Well not forever.

I was basically fully coloring characters as they were listed in the thread, that's why there's spots here and there.

What I might try is laying out all the base colors for everyone and then going back to hit shadows and highlights. I still have to do some additional inks as well!

We'll see what works best, I might do a combination!

hehehhe yeah tried that and then the evil monkeys beat the stuffing out of me! Those things have really SHARP nails and teeth!

I think I should have said I got my girlfriend a new tablet and she might let me use it once and awhile! hehehehe
