This is just a quick idea sketch, I didn't feel like drawing a small child on a horse or sunflowers, but I don't mind drawing the sun and the solar system!

I wanted to at least get something started! Hopefully it won't take too long to get a little more done on it!

A little update, I was playing around with the wings, but I'll probably ink it normally. I imagine the symbols on his costume floating and glowing just above the costume, have to see if that will work or not.

Frosty Inked

Printer paper is really not the best stuff to ink on! It was fun, haven't inked by hand in oh ages!

yeah, let me finish this piece, and then we can start talking about another group pic maybe a month or two afterwards!

Ignittus, it's all digital, and I'd seriously think twice before doing something like this again, but I am thinking about another group pic, but not until this one is done!

First pass of colors people!!!! Round 2 will get started soon, I figure I'll just wait til that's actually done before posting any more updates, it was fun watching the pic fill up, but now it's just gonna be less dramatic changes probably not as interesting watching me put in shadows and highlights!

I do have to confess, it's sitting as my desktop now and i'm digging it again, after working on it for so long it was starting to get to me.

Yay, finally got the first pass of colors done! Now to go back and put in some shadows, highlights and stuff! The hard part is done, now for the fun!!!!

Okay I was hoping to get the first round of colouring done by oh the New Year, but it's gone and past I'm oh so close! Note Gamma is not in there yet, but I'll squeeze her in there, probably to break up all that black in the lower right!

Investment is exactly it, I'm hoping to recoup the cost of the tablet with a few commissions, plus wacom's are tough as nails, so they will last, unless our kitties start chewing the cords again!

I hate the fact that the pens aren't compatible, that's a bit of evilness! As far as I know there are serial and usb tablets, I used a serial tablet on my old mac.

If you look there are some sites that offer academic pricing for all, I think someone on this board was able to get one that way for a bit cheaper.

Congrats man! That's awesome, I considered a refurbed 12x12, but I wanted an Intuos 3. Great Buy! I don't think it'll be too much!

it's cool to see you guys taking my sketches and doing more with them. The inks and colors are all coming out very nicely! Makes me want to ink and color my sketches too! Naw, I'll just sit back and watch what you guys do!

Don't need to worry, I know BAS is darker, it'll be more evident on the second color pass when I add shadows and highlights, but thanks for keeping me on my toes!

I do plan to put in the green glowiness, which will most likely hide his pink fleshy bits (ahem) but it's good to know his true colors and ear shape!

One of the reasons this is taking some time, as I'm adding colors, I notice stuff I've either added or left out, so I'm actually drawing and coloring as I go, if I've horribly maimed your character please let me know so I can make it worse, I mean better!

Just a small update: little update

I put my 9x12 on a foldup tv dinner table, it fits perfectly on it and sets it at a nice level, my desk is a bit too high.

Pretty cool! I had a little tabby cat...

Oh I just started a Scrapper-claws regen too! Lots of fun, I keep running around going snikt! snikt!

If you can get some lighter screenshots maybe from the character creation screen, toss him over at my thread in January, would love to sketch him!
