The first time this happened was the LAST time this happened, at work. I blacklisted *all* banner ad servers. If they can't be bothered to check their submitards, then I can't be bothered to show the ads.
At home, my malware software and settings are doin' a decent enough job, so far... And I don't just go anywhere without googling it first...

No, the point I was makin' was... I wouldn't have admitted I got punked by a turret. Although I admit, perhaps I haven't yet seen the *Unethical Turret powered by the Dark Side, black holes, and Despair*, of which even my mentioning it has caused every character I have to lose 1/2 their XP the next time they log in. Mentioning it by name twice, well, they'll wind up unconcious in the hospital, and unable to revive for 10 minutes, right?
I've not had the pleasure. If they exist, then maybe you need to say WHICH turrets we're talking about then. Even the ones surrounding Praetoria take several hits to kill ya, but then you're just being stubborn... like I was with Homeslicer, who now has that badge.
But excepting this amazing turret of Beatdown and Loss, I'm not typing "Being offed by a turret in a trial is not epic!"

Well, maybe not *all*, but pretty much sums it up.
Of course, maybe it's the freeb thing, maybe it's the new content, maybe it's just the way it is, but last few of sessions I've been able to play since gettin' Uverse 12M, the teams have been rockin', good fun missions, and everyone is playin' with everyone else nicely, no fussin', no ragequits... just havin' a good ol' time.
I've been levelin' up Rose Dawn (maybe y'all were on mah teams?) pretty quick, which makes me happy. Soon, the Sisters Dawn will be complete.
Gonna hate to shelve them when she gets to that 50 mark... I'm gonna have to plan somethin' special... Ooh, maybe do that 8 man thing in the Hollows I've only ever done once. Karsis? I forget. Anyway, that one.
Or maybe the Woodsman trial. That one has an awesome map...
Or maybe something on the Villain side? Or maybe First Ward, haven't done anything there yet... Or maybe the new Signature Arcs, those are calling me...
Whatever happens, Rose the Vigilante will weasel her way through Pocket D, then Studio 55, then sneak over to Nova Praetoria to say howdy to Praetor Duncan, as she's still the first trainer, and all my 'toons go back to their first to cele-train.
Anyway. Y'all rock, wanted to say so.

Wasn't there was much angst re:video drivers and XP64...? Somethin' like that... I dunno. Maybe I remember wrongly, and XP64 is peachy keen... been known to happen, my wrongly remembering things...

There are approximately 4,452 different dv7 notebooks... which one is yours?
For example, I found a dv7-4223ca, but it's driver IS NOT for your video card. It's for some others.
Therefore, post exactly which DV7 you have, or better yet, go here:

Click on the 'Drivers and Software' area, then tell it your model number, like shown above. You'll find it on the laptop somwhere. Or, ostensibly, it can be told to ask your laptop what it needs... but there's no guarantee it'll figure out the driver for the video... it may think it's just peachy, and not do it. (ATI and OpenGL don't exactly like each other sometimes... so you get what you're gettin'. But DX10, it'll work yesterday... Go figure. )
It will give you the correct driver, and you will install it. It will then hopefully work. If not... well... You're seeing why I don't buy anything to do with ATI, to be honest, because of silliness like this.

Since Wyll has teased Sister Flame about something special in RV.. I would like to suggest that the players of the server *make* it something special.
Have Wyll let everyone know when he will be letting Sister Flame on and into RV and when that day and time happens.
Have a full team of Heroes standing by to make sure no one bothers Sister Flame while she is inside. Then can them help her spawn the AV's and even help her defeat them of course.
Just a suggestion of course.

Now, that above was about upgrading from XP to Win7.
This post is about speed increase by upgrading a computer to Win7. The answer is... probably not.
I've not run any real tests on this specific to Co*, but given my experiences at work with changing out operating systems on computers (same computers, and Win2000, WinXP, WinVista[only one machine, and I retired that crappy OS this month], and Win7) it is interesting to note that of these operating systems, all full, fresh installs, the Win7 is by far the fastest operationally, that is to say, booting, searches, program starting, that sort of thing.
HOWEVER... the actual PROGRAM speeds did not change between 2000, XP and Win7. Whatever they ran, they ran about the same across the board.
Only in the case of Vista would I recommend getting out of it. The others all have no program effect. I therefore do not recommend you upgrade from XP to Win7 solely because of Co*, as it is money not well spent for that reason.
This assumes that you are moving from 32 bit to 32 bit, or 64 bit (XP? No way...) to 64 bit, and NOT moving from 32 bit to 64 bit, which isn't easily done with an upgrade, barring the impossiblity of doing an XP->7 upgrade anyway.
I *do* recommend changing out to Win7 because it's simply awesomer than any of the previous.
Oh, and disclaimer: These are my results (so far). Others may vary. Everyone will have an opinion, or may actually have factual results, that may counter some/all of my results/opinions/guesses/theories/whatevers.

In my opinion, upgrading any os to another os is folly. I've done both, and I've given up the upgrade thing. All the garbage (and there's plenty, no matter how clean your system may be, even a FRESH install of the previous) that messes up the old operating system gets to come along for the ride on the upgrade OS.
And no, you cannot go straight upgrade from Windows XP to 7. 7 is, basically, an image they throw on the drive. XP can't survive that. Not sure how Vista manages to survive the process... and frankly, I just won't bother to learn. Won't be happening if I'm dealin' with it.
And they just won't let you do it anyway. They have a tutorial, but it's more about how to save your files to an external drive, then make sure you can put 7 on the computer. Then do that, then move your files back. All using the FAST, I think. No wait, it's called Windows Easy Transfer. Meh, same thing. Here it is:

After readin' about it, the obvious choice is to buy Win7 OEM full install and start over on a fresh drive. It's actually less work, and you wind up with your files already backed up on the old drive.
