A tall order, to be sure, especially because we don't get decimals of inf!
  3. I read most of page one. Conclusion: OP is a child and does not know how to logic or reason. Well then, off to playing the game or somesuch.
  4. Someone used a mass-rez on this thread.

On a more related note, Fire/Cold rocks everyone's socks.
  5. This just happened to my League in a BAF. All 24 members were kicked with no warning or reward. Both AVs were under 25% HP :/
  6. During a BAF Trial with a full premade League, within one minute of completing the entire league was disbanded, and sent back to RWZ, from which we had started the trial. The chat window claimed "You have quit your team," yet I sure didn't opt to do anything of the sort. This happened to every single member participating. Upon trying to rejoin, this error message appeared: "Error: Instance could not be found. It may have been completed or abandoned."

My in-game global is @Hemm I was the League leader. My logs should include every person that entered the league and everything that happened (that is reported via chat, at least) before the crash occurred.

That would be more like 8.4%/sec. You want cohtitan's wiki: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/
I find this page especially useful: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Limits

    Corr HP cap: 1606.4 HP
Damage cap: +400%, plus base 100%, totaling to 500% dmg.
Recovery cap: 8.34% / second (500% of base)

As far as softcaps go, Silas is right; most limits are hard caps. The only stat other than defense I would consider having a softcap is tohit bonus, which is essentially the opposite of defense.
  8. Provided the new issue is patched in by then/im home by then/I am patched in time/I am not otherwise busy, I might just attend. We shall see.
  9. Global name: @Hemm
Server they mainly play on: Virtue
Level of PvP experience: Played plenty in Virtue zone PvP, some participation in informal tourneys (ss/wp brute, elec/kin corr, sonic/pain corr)
Access to Ventrilo and/or mic: yes/yes
Ability to meet at 9pm est on Fridays: yes

I guess you don't know how the drop system in this game works. That's okay, though, do continue to be ignorant.
  11. @Arcana: I feel like we could have just rushed to the bosses, killed them, and moved along. The extra time we spent killing the ads was just that, extra. Some of the people that teamed with me now don't want to run it again because I made it so boring. I think I can still get a competent team together, I just don't know when. Also, I don't feel like we used our skills any more than normal (aside from our kin who was kind enough to keep ID on some of us).

@mauk2: I believe that /elec is good, I just haven't played it. The more corrs, the better. Targeting binds are very useful if made ahead of time. And what can I say? I like speedy SF/TFs.
  12. I put together a team of 7 last night to run this mission. I set my difficulty to +0/x6, so it was actually run on x7 for the team. I set it to that to give it a quick test, but it turned out to be not-so-quick. We spent probably an hour clearing it the "safe" way. The plan was to go back and run on +4 with a full team, but people wanted to go do other things (like sleep). We did have plenty of deaths on the team, but only one team wipe. That happened when we first encountered Soul Transfer en masse. I had tried to warn my teammates what was coming (based on what I had read from this thread) before it happened, but I guess that one slipped my mind. Oops.

Our team makeup was: /dark, /therm, /kin, /cold corrs; ill/rad, ice/cold trollers, and a /elec brute. Lots of buffs, lots of debuffs, lots of debuff resistance, overall a very tanky team (the brute was surprisingly tough with all the buffs, being the only one to survive the team wipe). For the large part, everyone did their job of using their powers properly. Something I feel is needed to move through the mission quickly would be a targeting bind/macro for each boss group. I know that at least I lost track of the bosses, themselves, several times.

On my next run through, I plan to set to +4, have a full team with at least one real healer (no disrespect to our therm), and blitz right to the bosses, only killing the mobs necessary to complete. This is how I run SFs/TFs, so may as well put that method to the test. I expect to see increased importance of +def and +res buffs with less room for slacking as well as much more use of die > PBU > venge > rez. However, I specifically do not plan to use a venge/fallout doll, as I sometimes might like for speed SFs. Provided I can round up the same caliber of competent players, I expect we will be just as able to complete the mission when set to +4. I also expect it will be more entertaining if we rush through without regard for the hazards that will present.

I'll post back hopefully later tonight with results.
  13. /FA does not have a taunt aura for scrappers, but does for brutes. Scrappers may have situationally better damage output than brutes (with no damage buffs or with capped damage buffs, specifically), but brutes win out in every other aspect, here.

    I Blame JD

    I blame JD for speedklub.
  15. So... How fast DO you run SFs?
  16. I'm not sure if I replied to this thread before or not, but to put it simply: All of my toons are forever in scrapperlock. Even my /kin corr who has only 15% defense and 2 resistance toggles. If the mob I am in is dead, I am moving to the next one. If I am not in a mob to kill, I am looking for one. If jumping into the next mob will get me killed... OH WELL!

I don't remember where I read this, but I'm sure one of you do. Basically, I play every toon as though it is a Brute. I must build up my Fury bar! Attacking builds Fury, getting attacked builds Fury, standing still loses Fury. If my Fury bar is dropping, I'm doing it wrong. If I don't actually have a Fury bar, I can imagine it's there. Even on my Brutes who's Fury was nerfed to forever stay below 85%, it goes up to 100% in my heart.
  17. The thing about Rad/ is that it has high base Acc and does -def. Those two attributes aren't very useful when you consider the prevalence of +acc from set bonuses and +tohit for self buffs and ally AoE buffs. -Def powers do let you use the Achilles' Heel proc, but that can only apply once globally(from any attacker), at any time. Rad/ has good AoE, but I think Ice/ is better. This is because Scourge makes Rain-type powers better on a Corr. Design a Ice/Kin around your rain powers and Kinetics powers and you will have a killing machine. Ice/ also has comparable single target attacks to those of Rad/. Ice ALSO has two holds, which gives you a good deal of utility.

When it comes right down to it, Rad/ and Ice/ are both good sets. If you like Rad/ go ahead and use it.

    Fire/Dark

Please excuse me while I go over there and KILL EVERYTHING.

I absolutely, 100% love my Fire/Dark. Provided I pay attention and bring the proper insps, I do not die, melt things, and have high utility with mez/debuffs.
    • Explanation of build:
    • Recharge, recharge, recharge. I can chain Fire Blast > Blaze > Fire Blast > Fire Ball for all eternity.
    • Tar Patch + RoF = hard cap enemy slow, so no need to slot the slow.
    • With +end, +recovery bonuses, Cardiac Alpha, and the occasional use of Conserve Power, my blue bar very rarely drops.
    • 20% defense to all means that combined with my -tohit and situational -10% tohit from level shift, only mobs that stack -def will be hitting me more than I want.
    • Rez on 45 sec CD means lots of -regen for AV fights. Mind you that's no Lingering Radiation.
    • +HP set bonuses & accolades + resistance toggles means the attacks that do hit me don't often hit for a high percentage on my HP (Except Manticore's TP Arrow which hits for 1600+ damage jhbgksdjfhljzsdfgsdgrageeeee)
    • PBU + Venge, because I know damn well that my team will be dying before me. Yes that means YOU, Mr. poorly-slotted-brute-who-can't-handle-his-aggro!
    • Fighting pool? Oh yes, I love me some toggles. BTW, toggles are the reason for no nuke. Even if I get all of my end back after a nuke, I still have 9 toggles to turn back on, so it's not worth it.
    • Why so much Acc? Well, I really, really, reallllllly like being able to kill those Cimerorans (and quickly). Also, what with fighting 54s for the Incarnate stuff, it's justified.
    • Did I mention Perma Hasten? It's nice.

Build regrets: JUST ONE MORE LotG!! Also, no recall, but I just didn't have room to sacrifice a power pool. I need my Combat Jumping! I would like to also be able to take Spiritual Alpha, but I just can't maintain the end cost of my attacks and 9 toggles without a Kin if I don't take Cardiac. I will also be changing the Decimation set in Blaze to Armageddon at some point, but the price on those went wayyyy up after I finished slotting this toon. Also, if I had one extra slot, I would add a Kismet +6% tohit IO. Love me some tohit.

You said you wanted high rech, good defense, and low end use. Here it is. Want to take 2 slots and add the 3% PvP IOs, go ahead. I'm simply using the ones I have on other toons that have much tighter builds.

Edit: My thoughts on Fire Breath: it takes too long to animate to justify the damage. Also, being in melee range is bad for cones.. I often find myself in melee range to encourage the mobs that want to kill me to stay on the tar patch.
  19. Ice/Kin is great since the damage ratio on the rain powers of that set are sooo very good. Blizzard is especially useful on a corr since each tick can scourge and it does more damage than any other nuke at base. Add Fulcrum Shift, and Ice Rain + Blizzard is one of the most devastating combos availible. Blizzard is also able to be used very often since you have high recharge from Siphon Speed and can regain all of your blue bar thanks to Transference.

AR/Kin never seemed like a good combo to me since you go into melee range to self-buff, then back off again to get full use of cones.

Fire > Ice > Rad, imo.
  20. I've not actually decided that I will lower the price, yet. I may simply hold on to it or slot it if the price doesn't trend back up. However, if I do make the decision to sell lower, I will be sure to update this thread with that information.

This statement is roughly irrelevant because such a program would roughly require someone to roughly opt in. This is also roughly a gross use of hyperbole.
  22. A lot of people that play the market already make private databases or spreadsheets for this kind of information. The only difference is that they have to do a lot of work to record all of the information by themselves. Making an online database would simply increase the ease with which people could make informed decisions about buying and selling on the market.

It seems to me like the kind of people that would not want this kind of utility are those that are already in the know, and do not want others to possess the same kind of knowledge because it would increase competition.

The case would be considerably different, however, if such a utility recorded posting prices.
  23. This is a crafted level 50 Shield Wall unique.

My asking price is 2.5 billion inf.

I will sell it to the first bid I receive that meets the asking price unless someone out-bids it by a significant amount (read: at least 100 million inf more).

I will consider forum PMs, in-game emails, and in-game tells with a valid offer bids.

Note: I will also consider a trade for a Gladiator's Armor: +3 Res IO.
