It was a great effort and a good team thank you all
-
Over the last few days a number of us have been having a great time running all the tf's again and one member of the team I think the credit belongs to Sam Spade, thought we should have Masters of avaialable for all the tf's.
What a great idea to make us vet's smile, new shiny badges but more important than that a challenge.
Imagine MOSSTF1 and 2 and and and...i need to lay down, just the thought is enough. -
I would settle for them using the time between now and the 28th to reflect on what impact the MA release has had on the game and the community.
Then work out how to fix all the exploits/bugs/probelms and make it happen with the minimum continued disruption to the players.
Perhaps with the remaining time after they have managed this they can make an action plan to help avoid a repetition in the future.
Sorry for the rant, feeling more than a little out of sorts due to yet another disrupted day on COH. -
I would like a go sarge,
scrapper
emp/rad
or a choice of trollers or blasters.
Honestly don't mind which -
Many gratz you guys, a great achievement and one that I still have not managed on any of my 50's.
I have got to get on another of these teams for a try one day. -
I agree snow, I started a new toon a couple of days ago and all you could hear in Atlas local was LFF spammed by many players, I even saw level 1's yelling for a farm team.
Since when could a lvl one make a contribution to a farming team other than to increase spawn numbers.
They could at least make the effort to get it right and say lvl one looking for someone to power level me because i can't be bothered to play myself.
I sent a trial mail to an experienced MMO player last week thinking they might like to come and give CoX a go, I am cringing now to think he might, and be confronted with our new Atlas AKA old McDonalds. -
COPIED AND PASTED from the US forums, I hope that is allowed and don't ask me to linky i have no idea how.
"I got this from a GM a few days ago about problems with my SG base."
Thank you for your continued patience. At this time, we are planning a patch to the live servers on this Friday that should prevent any further base issues. At the time of that patch, we will be reverting your supergroup to a point as close to the time you provided as possible. This should prevent any big loss of items that may have recently been transferred from storage.
Once we have reverted the base, we will refund any prestige that we can verify lost. Please understand that we will make every effort possible to compensate your supergroup for any additional losses that may occur from the issue.
Thought it might be of interest to Sgt M P as he has lost his poor base i know. -
On a completely non-related off topicness topic, i just found a you you tube link on an american news channel which i had to click.
You guys may have already heard about it go google Susan Boyle and watch the regional heat she appeared in of idol.
I has a lump in my throat still...and a smile on my face from the stunned expression of Simon Cowell. -
OK not sure why but there are 3 options for 1680x1050 and I have just tried them all.
Result is the same in each case, the mouse pointer is still above its correct place.
Thankyou for trying though any other ideas welcome. -
Has anyone come accross this issue before and know of a fix please.
It is most obvious in COX but interferes with other games requiring clicking on powers to activate.
When moving an enhancement from the tray into a power the mouse pointer/hand is slightly above the token resulting in a clumsy feeling to the movement sometimes requiring several attempts to grasp and drag.
Also misses powers when clicking to activate, and if dragging an inspi to a minion i end up swallowing it myself.
I have tried many fixes such as driver re-install and roll back to 2 previous versions for the gfx card. Same for the mouse, also tried a new mouse. I have checked and updated all other drivers where appropriate.
Logged into another system on my account and it works perfectly, logged my mouse into the other system also works fine.
system spec as follows:-
MSI P45 Neo3 motherboard
Mushkin DDR 2 4GB
Intel Core2 Duo E8500
ATI Radeon Club 3D 4870
1024MB GDDR5
Western Digital Caviar GP1 TB
Mist 500wts ATX 2.2/24pin rev 3
Antec performance 1 P182 Chassis
Mouse is a Logitech MX620 laser cordless
Endless searching of forums only turns up something similar for users of Vista the fix for which does not exist for xp users.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated -
I an currently enjoying a session of WoW'ness during a break from my beloved CoX.
For some reason I struggle to apply myself with the dedication needed to more than one MMO at a time, it seems to be a co-ordination thing for me when the controls and graphics are so different.
I agree about the achievements being a copy of our badge system, 'stolen with pride' I think should be the terminology used. For the record the WoW system of recording them is very good.
I have managed to spark the interest of a number of guildies though when chatting about my other MMO on vent, so maybe I could be an underground recruiter.
They are fascinated most of all by the possibility of 'adjustable boobage'.....who would have thought it eh -
Mememememememe............I want in, now all i have to do is make sure my current dodgy wireless connection is sorted between now and then
-
oh aye, it was all to do with cables and socket boxes and electric connections and stuff, not as interesting as spanking roman's but there you go
-
I have to admit I also find it irritating as hell to be nagged for buffs when I consider myself to be a team player on any of my toons that have buffs.
By this I mean I will always dish out any buffs I have as often as I can to team members to the detriment of my attacks for example on my empath.
Strangely enough I found the most persistent nag the other day was a fellow empath who at every single hands turn demanded CM regardless of if they had it already or not, same said empath by the way was dishing out recovery aura to a team with full endurance and sometimes on top of a RA already given.
After about half an hour of nagging I had to point out that recovery aura was just that.......an aura to aid in recovery therefore not required by a team of people with full endurance already, at which stage I was told to 'you play yours your way and I will do the same'...which was a fantastic opener for me to totally agree with that sentiment therefore please stop nagging for clear mind every 5 seconds when you already have it....after which things went a little better.
The other side to this though is playing on a team with a kinetic who cuddles buffs as though to share one would be a violation of a personal playing code, I have bumped into the same kin a couple of times lately to the point where if pug'd into a mutual team I would have to leave and find a more enjoyable playing experience.
I have not asked for a SB for myself but I have asked that at least it be given to the tank and scrapper on one of the teams after we lost members a couple of times as the tank was struggling to recover, the response was 'I hate that power, I am speccing it out, I wish I never got it'....a numer of the team tried to advise the benefits of sharing said buff but we wasted our breath.
I hope that JD's recent observations of an increase in nagging is just a phase, if everyone gives a little time for a team to gel it should be obvious if you have a buffer who is going to dish out the goodies therefore no 'BUFFMEPLZ' required, or if you are unfortunate enough to have dropped into a team with a 'MINE...MINE I SAY and you are having none of my goodies, muawahahahaha' in which case better luck next time. -
As per the title really, I got on what looked as though it was going to be a great ITF team last night.
The banter was flowing nicely and the team was getting on well during the first mission and then horror of horror's my doorbell went and I was called away to RL stuff.
First time I have ever had to leave a TF, especially miffed cos I hate that TF with a passion and it looked as though it was going to be a great one
So tell me.......how did it end?? did you do it and did I miss great fun and stuff? -
My empath/rad was one of the earlier toons I created about 18 months ago, she is now 49 and three quarters having lvl'd 5 other 50's in that time frame I can appreciate what you are saying.
I have read many derogatory comments about this class, one time on a public channel I offered her to help in a TF and someone laughed and suggested I had put her on auto heal at level 1 and never taken her off.
It was a bit of a suprise to read such a comment coming from someone who I didn't know and to my knowledge had never teamed with, anyway the TF went ahead with me healing and buffing and also debuffing where time permitted.
Since that TF (about 5 or 6 weeks ago), I roll her out regularly for a run and it feels like she gets more invites lately, maybe the EU side is loving up it's empath's a little more, or perhaps it is just lucky timing on my part. -
Yup I had Rise to the challenge toggled on, some days I am such a muppet.
Thank you all for clearing that up, I turned it off and ran thru the same mobs, calling them names and being generally unpleasant to them and they didn't bat an eye. -
I quite fancied SS as my last power choice on my scrapper and thought I would slot the celerity stealth IO in it and zip through mobs un-detected however....
Is this not working or am I doing something wrong?
I tried it out against a mixture of foe, nemesis, praetorian and carnies and in each case they saw me.
My scrapper is 50, the IO is 48 and the foe were 49 and 50.
Can anyone advise please.. -
I think I have seen what Francisca is speaking of, how many of us check our cossie before we even start?
I have found many times a (for example) 50000inf tailoring fee in place before I have started, the process then begins to find what has been changed and revert it back.
It's easy to identify which section has been altered, but not so easy sometimes to locate the actual change, and the reset button doesn't help in this instance. The most common I have noticed, is the addition of sleeves to an item that has been selected as sleeveless, others I have never found just managed to select the correct one by going down the list until the fee registers at nothing again for that section.
I can't help with a solution other than keep an eye out before you start, but I can promise it isn't just you. -
I will tell him to bug it again i think as you have suggested Lady_A. Thank you

My opinion of your opinion, as you asked for it in your OP, is that the current SK system is what makes this game stand out from others.
It is an excellent system allowing me to team with my friends even though we may have missed each other a few times/levels.
My opinion of your post/s above , which you didn't ask for and may be against the rules but here goes anyway, is that when you open a topic for discussion it is a good idea to allow people to do just that before you leap in and start to tear their opinion to shreds.
You have vented your displeasure at a number of posters here who have had the temerity to disagree with you however I would suggest you have brought this on yourself.
Reading the entire post it looks to me as though what you actually wanted was not peoples opinion of your suggestion, but an argument perhaps better suited to a verbal exchange judging by the speed of your responses. -
My bf has an issue with this, despite going through the entire run of missions twice he has a piece of the salvage missing and therefore can not craft the cure.
All the badges have been granted and he can access the midnighter club etc, however his salvage is now cluttered up with the unused bits. He has bug reported it weeks ago and to date has no reply, I assume as it is not stopping further advancement it is not considered a priority. -
I love to fight freaks, whenever I can on any toon I can. I also enjoy story arc's regardless of the enemy, and I join TF's whenever time permits.
If the team I had joined/formed wanted to spend the evening doing something I didn't fancy then I would change teams and or toons, I would not yell for the foe to be given a nerf.
I don't like fighting tsoo, I am not keen on malta, they have historically handed me my butt regardless of toon I pitch against them, I would not for a moment call for them to be nerfed and spoil the pleasure of those who do like them though.
Live and let live I say, the variety of the game is what makes it enjoyable, nerf all our apponents to the point where they all offer the same rewards and the loss would only be ours -
A very interesting point of contention this, I would also value some clarification.
Praf's comment regarding damage done having an impact is of particular interest as in the last week I have encountered two tanks in the mid 20 to mid 30 range who insisted they had insufficient end to fight and would therefore only be standing and taunting. The level of aggro management imo was very poor from these 'endurance low, damage shy' tanks.
I have considered the new taunt sets as an option on my tank but then dismissed them in case they did not offer as much as the IO slotted taunt tokens, perhaps I should look again.
More info very welcome........ -
Hahahaha........
I can't rememeber the last time a post on these forums made me laugh out loud.
Thankyou TG they were lovely to read
