They used to run, then they ran less, now they run a lot again. Is there any reason anyone knows of for this?
I was running 0/8 now im +3/8 just for the hell of it to see if there is a difference in threads etc...
but now they run from my pbaoe trerrible
i put it back to 50 and same thing.
is there a thread for this already? Was something changed?
and i dont mean wander out of range I mean straight up run like hell out of target range and they keep going. -
I would think that the new EULA had market stuff in it. And if you did not read the 25 pages of fine print and accpted anyways then that is that.
-
Quote:The EULA relates to the entire game experience. Just because you pay extra for an item or service, so long as that item or service is a virtual item that exists only with the confines of the game, everything is covered unless the lawyers that wrote the EULA were very poor.
I agree, in part however and i may be mistaken and I think you may remember better than I, did we accept a new EULA the one i remember in the start of the game may not cover something like that.(just a thought not that it matters).
If so then he maybe just S.O.L.
If not then he may have more of a point. I think that getting a drop in the game say this Perf Proc. Vs. out right purchasing one with real dollars has a difference to it. (this is a mental excersise that i am sure their legal went over) But if they decide to drop the rates of something in the game such as a Blessing Zephyr S/L the way the did years ago. And they then drop the rates on the one you can buy at the market that changes things. Its already different and cannot be sold or traded, its account bound and has other drawbacks beside the need for real cash to be used..
I also dont think there is any real world parallel and if anyone can think of an example i would be interested in reading it. -
Quote:The enforceability of an EULA depends on several factors, one of them being the court in which the case is heard. Some courts that have addressed the validity of the shrinkwrap license agreements have found some EULAs to be invalid, characterizing them as contracts of adhesion, unconscionable, and/or unacceptable pursuant to the U.C.C. —see, for instance, Step-Saver Data Systems, Inc. v. Wyse Technology,[2] Vault Corp. v. Quaid Software Ltd..[3] Other courts have determined that the shrinkwrap license agreement is valid and enforceable: see ProCD, Inc. v. Zeidenberg,[4] Microsoft v. Harmony Computers,[5] Novell v. Network Trade Center,[6] and Ariz. Cartridge Remanufacturers ***'n v. Lexmark Int'l, Inc.[7]With regard to the lawyer comment being frivilous, this could actually be adressed by the tool of a class action law suit. If you screw over 100,000 people for an average of $7.00 apiece, the total amoiunt of money at issue plus possible penaly damages becomes meaningful.
I have not yet entered my request for a refund, but intend to. I purchased one to try and then ten more after I saw how well they worked. When I soon learned that a nerf was possible, I left that 10 count purchase untouched pending the "fix," if any. Now that the purchased Procs are no longer desirable, and indeed inferior to the regular and easily obtained IO, I certainly feel cheated.
I think a more apt comparison would be if I had purchased a 30 piece costume bundle and the company, ex post facto and without any compensation, simply deleted half the pieces and said they were causing some problem that could not be resolved. Either situation is an abuse of the paying customer unworthy of an honest company, and may in fact actually be illegal under United States Consumer Protection Laws, where this company is in main located.
To be less wordy - this sucks.
Jak
thats just of wiki
and i dont think a EULA could work here this was a direct purchase for a virtual item and not anything that you have done. The error was theirs, the brokeness of the item was theirs, it was not advertised and then it was changed after you bought them. I would be annoyed as well. -
Quote:The lawyer comment was obviously a joke as in the following line I said "but seriously". I probably spent around 7 bucks on these for multiple characters so it's not a huge loss, but the monetary value is not my main concern with this issue. My concern is Paragon's business practices and the precedence they are setting. Eventhough it's only approx 7 dollars I can't help but feel like I've been robbed.
What if next week I bought points, purchase Staff Melee, then call my bank and put a stop payment on my Paragon Pounts purchase? You think they'd be completely okay with this? Of course not, but yet, I'm supposed to be okay with what they did?
I understand that those who did not purchase these could care less about what I'm saying, but try to look at the big picture and focus on the business aspect of this entire ordeal.
Just so i know. I am not sure if its been commented on and i cannot see a post from a red name as i did on page one.
Have tey been nerfed already? -
I have a FF def that i used to farm mu in Rv with I would go by the villan base then run out and do errands. 3-4 hours later with Id reset if the Lonbow mech had died. If not Id come back another hour later.....
Also traps is boruing unless you like 15 sec activation times on mines.
another boring one is empath on a lvl 53 team. You get to play and not do anything worth being there for.
But any bubbler is soo dullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllll zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. -
I have found this thread to be very informative and very helpful in making new builds and upgrading old ones. Thanks for all this important information...

[QUOTE=Ael Rhiana;4188814]Quote:Purples never went anywhere near where i thought they would. In fact the average price of purples i think went up
QUOTE]
The average price went waaaaay down. Hecatombs and armageddons used to go for 5 - 700mil. I couldn't sell either of them last night for more than 200mil. Everything has gone way, way down from what I see.
but at the announcement of converters i was able to by over 100 purples made for about 1 mill each
so that is for sleeps, confuse, and a couple pet ones, but basically what we considered junk.
So i spent about 100-140 million (that is all!!!!)
and got about 100 purples... Now at this moment in time you cannot buy one for under 150 million
that is an increase from 1 million to 150 million. Or 150 times my original price so on my 100 million investment i made how much? So maybe some went down a lot I cannot argue that at all. But i think you are not accuretly accounting here.
Hectacombs for example are going 300-500 million atm. So they went down yes. about 20%-30% and other purples went up about 200%-250% -
-
Just sold a confuse duartion for 300 mill its insanity indeed

I too give up.. I am surprised that converters did not drive the price of things down more and i am shocked and surprised by the rebound so quickly in price of things.
Purples never went anywhere near where i thought they would. In fact the average price of purples i think went up
cause sleep, immob, hold, and confuse went up so much.
And pvp procs the good ones even though they are not off market any longer the price is surprisingly high. in the 400-500 million range.
I was sure they would go to the 80s but clearly i was totally wrong about the market and clearly demand is still huge.
and very rare is well vary rare indeend! -
I am against many of the forum rules
language cause kids read, and direct threats etc... other than that i laughed hard.
sometimes i think there are too many rules.
But its not for me to decide.

Quote:No im not i wasnt talking about the one you get from the supepacks. I was talking about how i bought one and only a week or two later they gave one to the super packs which is the same thing with a different color. AndOh, come on, pissing and moaning is precisely what you were doing, at least own up to it when you're called on it. As others have said, this is all just standard business practice. In fact, you can even see it in the in-game market - we have the 'buy it nao' people and those who get the same item cheaper if they're patient. Not a novel concept. You can pay more and enjoy your goodies now, or bide your time and get them for a bargain later if you don't mind doing without for the intervening spell.
I agreeed with the later posts about how i should have waited... -
I am not pissing and moaning so I cant hear your vomit down here.

Are they avail with reward tokens i cant see it and someone said to me in the trials tonight they were.
Am i just missing it -
Quote:Ok i guess your right. but still i paid for that stupid dog pet and now its free in superpacks which i took anyways...I know, right? I mean, I remember a while back I paid fifty dollars -- FIFTY! -- for this game, and now they just give it away! Why did I waste my money? Not to mention the subscription fees I paid. I should have just waited and played for free. It's a scam, I tell ya!
Are you seriously complaining that there are too many discounts available?
Or are you under the impression that "charge what you think you can get for it now, then lower the price once sales drop off" is a sales practice somehow exclusive to CoH and Macy's? Because that's pretty much how the retail business works. Buy a DVD on release day, six months later it's selling for half what you paid for it. Pick up a new Xbox game, and pretty soon it's dropped from sixty dollars to twenty, and all the expansions come with it for free!
but you see my point.
I bought it yesterday and its on sale today!
