Quote:nice to know that info. However even if its for july or august isnt that a reason to keep them. Also there is the fact that if you delete them their gone and its not like they take up room. In fact why would you want to delete them anyway? Just because if thats the case then just do it.Wrong. On pretty much every level. 2nd Gen ATOs were discovered due to a BUG on i23 Beta - and said bug was fixed, so you can't even get them that way. They were NEVER. Intended. To be in this issue, no matter how many of you people hoped so. The 2nd Gen ATOs are going to be in the next set of Super Packs which are slated for Late July, Early August as a BEST CASE SCENARIO.
To the OP - if you pull catalysts from mobs you might as well use them if you can Catalyze an entire set - if the character has no use for them (my Dominator needs two in total - one for each proc) then you can always convert them after upgrading and unslotting, but you don't HAVE to do so.
Also Ironblade - the Brute ATO set is going for upwards of 80 million a piece.
And even if i was wrong about them coming out in this issue apparantly they are already around and in the game somewhere. Even if now they are locked maybe you can convert them, maybe you cant, maybe you can catalyze them, maybe you cant who knows. But ill keep mine anyways incase. -
there are new ATIOs coming out they were on test already. Expect them soon. They were supposed to be in this issue but there was a bug i read in the conversion of them for some reason they were not put out. But they exist.
So save them at least for that. -
Its like they know im not home and cannot play. O well save some master badges and hybrids for me.
-
No not at all.
I love the idea of a blaster its just gotten worse.
My main and badger is naturally a blaster. So i did hybrid immediatly on him. T4 now assult. Its ok. Sure its more dmg.
But when i get Double hit on a maxed out brute filled with fury and bonuses im am almost always pegged on my fury in farms so i am 2 and 3 hitting mobs.
Now i get double hit chance and 10% more dmg on all attacks its so out of control now.
Blasters have turned into something i am sure was never the intent when the original game came out.
Its sad i have 2 favorite toons both blasters and its pointless to play with them. its more fun setting to +2/3/4 x8 and romping through missons. You just feel more super.
Of course blasters are fun still and they are "different" but the gulf of dmg output just got wider.
Full fury lightning bolt aggro cap of 18 or 18 i forget. Double hitting is stronger than a blaster nuke now and you get to keep all your end and bounce to the next mob.
What does a double hit lightning strike on a scrapper that gets a crit plus double hit do. I cant even imagine its like 3000 points of dmg. -
Quote:great idea.Yet another reason to form Trials in DA now. Before starting, go down the list checking everyone's level. Anyone who is +3 is good to go. Anyone else, /info them and check for Destiny Unlocked and Lore Unlocked on the badge list. You can't go by the power list, because someone with no Incarnate powers slotted could still qualify for the trial. Anyone who's missing one or both badges gets Das Boot.
If you do it anywhere else, you have to dig through every League member's badge list. Or ask 20 times who doesn't qualify, while the one guy stays silent because they're AFK, or they don't read chat, or they think that you're asking because you're a leet jerkwad who only takes other leet jerkwads on their teams and doesn't realize that they don't qualify.
Quote:So how is Hybrid bugged if the LFG is bugged?
From what I understand there is some kind of "no message" bug if someone isn't set up to qualify for the Magisterium Trial. You probably have someone in the League who doesn't have both Lore and Destiny unlocked.
And on freedom channels last night there was a lot of chatter about this. lfg not starting. or the trial bugged. People were then as it turns out haveing a problem getting baf's to start working. too...
so its not the trial something aparantly was happening on freedom last night but seems fixt -
Seems this trial cannot start. Is there a problem with it. Or am i not getting a message on my chat log.
Is this common?
Wish i could farm ixp for hybrid some place else. -
If you send me a pm in game or an email
@-graystar
with your email that matches this one Ill hook you up. Just so you have one too. I used to hoard. But thats getting old and it does not help me any more. It was fun on test server to have 10 in a tray and pvp(i know not fair) but since pvp death i have not used one ever live except by accident and boy does that suck.
Any way contact me in game -
Quote:I already said i had some. And coral shards i have a lot of ill part with one for you. You can have it. Just send me a pm in game and list your email here so i know its you.I have some i could help you with. I just found after talking to another collector 10 or 11 coral shards on old toons over 1100 days old.
The others i have to check and see when i get on tonight
p.s.
i think one or two of those that your looking for were never actually put in the game ever.
I have almost a full set of salvage of every kind except many on that list. Not all. But many many are not in the game. And the ones in the top section some have not been seen in a very long time. -
Yea snow thanks a lot. Great work.
One question are any of the new arcs hero/villain specific. Or any of the badges for that matter?
I didnt get a chance to read all the info on the test boards, or wiki. -
many of the things your asking for do not exist. Did you not look at the link i posted. If you want to pay me 500 mill per salavage i have some I can sell. Please read the links on salvage from wiki and let me know what you want that is actually in the game.
If you want to email me 10 billion i will sell you somthing thats not in the game.
(JOKE DONT SEND ME ANYTHING!) -
wow i have so many i would never sell any. In fact i gave some away to a true collector. But sell why bother people whe have hese dont need influ.
-
But what if like me your a total idiot and have know idea where to start to install this little gem.
Are there any step by step instructions for old computer dummies like me. My last class of computers i took
10 print happy
20 goto 10
run
i mean thats about all i got in konputer skill or lack thereof.
if i have instructions that are detailed i can follow it.
Any help would be most altruistic and helpful to the person that can post it.
thanks in advance for any help -
Quote:I do have the recharge alpha, as well as hes iod for rech lotgs/purples etc... Thanks for the great info. I was not aware that they are not 40-45 with the enh boosters. The reason it does this is that boosting an enhancement to +5 *isn't* equivalent to boosting it by 5 levels. If it were, boosting a level 40 recharge by +5 would only increase it from 38.6% to 40.5%, which hardly seems worth the expenditure. Instead, each enhancement booster increases the power of the enhancement by a flat 5% of its base value - so +5ing an enhancement increases its bonus to 1.25 times its original strength. So, a 40+5 recharge gives a bonus of 38.6% * 1.25 = 48.25%, significantly *more* than a plain level 50 recharge's bonus of 42.4%.
Thus, as you saw, replacing a level 40+5 recharge with a level 50+0 one isn't actually an improvement. However, replacing a 40+5 with a 50+5 *will* be - a 50+5 has a bonus of 53%. That said, it's not going to make a difference of more than a fraction of a second in recharge, especially since it looks like you've also got a +recharge alpha (two 40+5 recharges don't give 113.5% enhancement by themselves, but that's about right for those plus a spiritual core 45% rech boost edit: whoops, no, it's not - I'll rerun these numbers later). As far as I can tell, going from two 40+5 to two 50+5 ought to take the recharge from 84.1 to 83.6 seconds - is 0.5s really worth the expenditure, especially since the difference will only get even smaller once you factor in your global recharge?
you learn something new every day. -
the topic is
the 2 ios regular ios that are recharge only.
2(lvl 40+5) base recharge of firey embrace is 3. mins. 2(lvl 40+5) are 113.5% value to bring recharge time down to 1 min 24 secsonds.
i just realized i did that i had lvl 40's that i (+5)'d
so i said o well and i bought a 50 and was about to throw it in there then (50+5) that one. what the combat attributes pop up screen tells me is the value of 113.5% stays the same and the
replace says (1 min 24 secs -0.9%)
so here is my question how could it go down 0.9% if its 5 lvls higher? that to the best of my understanding is not how addition works. 45 is less than 50
is there a reason for this or a previous thread. -
I disagree. I have gotten 2 and 3 purples at a run on this map. I used it to run on my sheild elec brute. Its awsome.
Its not the dreck farm anymore that was nerfed.
There is a another from unai where you click the blinkys.
Thats is the one i run and its fun and they rez and you get multiple chances permob on a run.
If half a mob rez you get 8-10 more chances at a purple per mob. And if you kill fast enough as my farmer does its actually a better farm them any other i think.
If you have the correct resistance and the correct map with the right toon WOW. ( however you can say that for any map or farm)
so its not a dead item its just like all other farms fall into the "what are you farming with" catagory.
called get data from the first dimension

missons great! Of course there are others. but i like this one a lot -
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Misc_Salvage
nothing that is on this page i linked for you is available. In the game and might not ever have been. -
Quote:http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Misc_Salvage is a list of non obtainable salvage. So no amount of effort will get it.
As of Issue 13, crafted base items require Invention Salvage to create, rather than components made from base salvage. Base salvage no longer drops, but can be converted into invention salvage via brain storms.
Issue 13 was released to the Live Servers on December 2, 2008.
so characters most likely old "main" toons, Old farmers for influ or infamy cause there was nothing to farm for other than the badges. And old PL toons.
Issue 6, titled Along Came a Spider, was a major revision to City of Heroes released on Thursday, October 27, 2005
Characters in Supergroup mode can now gain Prestige and Salvage. These will be useful to players who own both City of Heroes and City of Villains in base building
So anytime after Oct 27, 2005 up till Dec 2, 2008 is 1133 days they were active.
oct 27 2005- till now is 2396 days total.
when they were taken out of the game was. 1264 days ago. so a toon must be at least 1264 days old to even have the ability to have any base salvage at all.
brainstorms were the problem for most of us. You could at the start convert base salvage to brainstorms and earn credit for the "creation" badges some of which were insanely hard to get.
Most badgers that had a lot of time on a toon hence the most brainstorms to get and use to get badges. As i seem to remember most badgers had their own bases in many cases and used their salvage to get the 5000 creations badge. That was a bug that was fixed pretty quick but the dmg was done hundreds of thousands of base salvage were burned immediatly. -

Quote:is there any information you can share without divulging your niche as to win/loss? Damn good rate though.8.528 billion / 150 converters = 56.8 million per converter.
That's my spreadsheet says.
EDIT: 9.240 billion / 155 converters = 59.6 million per converter. It fluctuates around these two values.
Is it pvp or purples or regular def, health. etc.. -
Quote:thats about 20 mill per converter. I would say thats pretty good. And I guess without blowing up anybodies niche.Dammit, Granite Agent! You resisted our mind control rays! AND you didn't have to wait overnight for that bid to fill! (OK, slightly more constructively: I think of things as filling "in about five minutes", "Overnight", and "over a weekend." A lot of people buy and sell at the beginning or end of their play session, and a lot of people play more on weekends. Good on you for waiting, bad on you for not waiting ENOUGH. )
Getting back to the OP: I haven't been squeezing every last drop of blood out of the stone, but I seem to get around 200M for my 10 converters going from Alignment Merits converting Kin Combats. I played around a little bit with converting L30 rares into better L30 rares and did much worse (maybe 100M for 10 converters), I played around a little bit with converting purples. The money was good but I could get almost as much just flipping purples, so I started doing that instead.
I did some more 10mill en/rech lotgs and turned them into whatever else i could get in the set (so 3 converters). sometimes i get a lotg7.5 and others its been def/end/rech I seem to get around 50mill/3 converters average so that's about 16.667 per converter. Yes its a small sample and from what i see the others getting 15-30mill per converter seems not to shabby. And on one of my farmers i have gotten about 80 dropped running DA maps +2/8 on brute since they came out.
so if im getting 16.667 x 80 i'm well over a billion in potential earnings extra on top of what other drops i get.
And here is where i save influ then I delete the crap, sell the regular recipies at vendor and convert what actually drops thats in a good set. Def, Heal.
If anyone has actually tracked their progress or sales with using converters I would love to hear if im lowballing it or just got lucky on a busy week or something cause of all the new toons out there. -
I could use some help as a test i used 18 converters.
I bought in set lotgs end/rech for about 10 mill each
converted them to other in the set def i got lucky was 4 of them at 50 mill each and one 7.5%(lucky again) and sold that for about 80 million
this was a test..
has anyone worked out the relative value of converters to influ?
is one converter worth 10 million? 20? 30? or as low as 5? was this luck? was this norm?
any advice would be welcome

Quote:I think some of this logic is over the line. You are absolutely correct of course. It's all about the money; my concern is that by selling purple enhancements, NCSoft is entering a niche where they are not competitive on price, and have to gain market share by creating artificial barriers to entry such as banning players who buy from other companies. Perhaps they should consider focusing on other products that bypass content, but where they would have a distinct competitive advantage.
A good example of this would be powerleveling services. Other companies offer that service as well, but the player has to give them login information which would leave the account vulnerable to hacking attempts. NCSoft could offer a token in the cash shop that would instantly boost a character to level 50 with no risk to the player's account. The player gets a level 50 character, and NCSoft increases their bottom line, so it's win-win. I mean, I probably wouldn't buy something like this, but the demand is obviously there so such a service would be worth it to some players.
They should also consider selling incarnate powers. How many posts have we seen in the forums about people who are frustrated by the amount of time and effort it takes them to progress through incarnate content? In particular for the people who like to solo, it would take forever for them to get T4 powers across the board. If they could just buy the powers in the cash shop, I'm sure many of those players would consider that worth it.
And of course, badges. Some badges are nearly impossible to get or only available for a limited time, like the anniversary badges or ones for special events. If they were offered in the cash shop, badge collectors would go nuts. A mastermind with a first anniversary badge? Or maybe a bughunter badge without actually having to find a bug? Definitely worth it.
I believe all of these would sell like hotcakes if they were offered in the cash shop, and make a fortune. I don't understand why the devs haven't added them in there already.
In my opinion it should still be important to play the game.
and selling services and powerlevels as well as gold or badges is akin to legalizing drugs in a way. Stop the fight just make it legal and get your cut in form of taxes. -
Quote:No.NCSoft should stop banning players for buying inf then. I mean, it was one thing when NCSoft could claim they were doing it to preserve the integrity of CoH, but now they're doing it to establish a monopoly over the RMT market in the game. Instead of enticing you into their cash shop with competitive pricing, they are using the threat of bans as a bullying tactic in an attempt to coerce you to use their shop over the competitors. I'm beginning to think that the devs don't have the players' best interests in mind here.
You could help to support emerging economies. Seems like a worthy cause.
Quote:Except that you can be permanently banned from the game if caught buying or selling in-game items for real life money.
Losing $12.50 once is a lot cheaper than losing the near $1000 I've spent on my account over the last 8 years. Plus that money actually goes somewhere I want it to go (Paragon Studios), rather than funding Chinese gangs or prisons.
However using math it is cheaper to buy gold then to use the store online.
which i find strange.
Its not like they actually have over head for this stuff. Slap a new jpeg on it, change some things in code and walla on the store. So these purples seem insanely expensive. And i could buy them in fact i have spent hundreds in the store already. But these are silly to me. I bought stuff you cant get in game dual insp i love. Temps, boosters, unslotters, etc... but something i already have thats no better... What for. I think this was very misjudged pricewise. These should be 100 points more than a regular io maybe 50 but this 2000 for a set is laughable. And i have spent about 300 already.
Yea i spent 300 so what i wanted to and i liked it. And i may spend more...
i never said i could spell so what of it.
