It would also probably make sense to just average the other five enhancement costs, to make data collection easier.
Unfortunately I'm rarely on evenings, so can't carry out this project, but thought I'd suggest it in case someone thought it would be interesting.

I think they should adjust the drop rates UP. Here's why:
with the announcement of converters the price for even the least useful purple drop is now in the 100 mill area. I have been following the prices closely since the announcement because I went in whole hog into sleep and confuse. I was buying them in the 1 mill-1.5 mill just after the announcement. In fact i was listening to the broadcast of the player summit while playing and instanly went to my marketing toons. I also know I am not alone. But what has happened is that prices have only gone up. ( and i got about 100 purples and pvpios)
as prices tend to go up thats no problem its a fact of life. but this is 100x in a month thats like hyperinflation on half of the purple sets.
the only exception I can see in game to this is that superpacks put so many merits onto the game that lotgs, numinas, miracles etc... are much cheaper now(maybe not forever , but, i think so)
So unless they put purples into the superpacks or some other way to increase supply or decrease value. This is what were gonna have to have the chance has to be lowered from 1/5000 (i think this is the correct number please correct me if i am wrong). Maybe to about 1/3000 - 1/3500.
I say this because the one other person i know that did this agreed with me that we will keep them. That way i never have to rely on the market. What this means is that they are gone. so the 100 + purples and 100+ pvpios that i have will not be converted and sold. I just wont ever need to marketeer a again also since i have way enough Influence and merits Ill never need influ again( i am sure there are many others they will do this or differently as suits them)
From my perspective without increasing supply they have actually created more demand and thus increased perceived value without supply. So while some Purple may come down from the 750-900 mill( currently last night i saw 2 kinds of Raganoks in that range) it may be only in the 400s or 300s. thats half. However sleeps and purples etc... are x100 value.
I hope this makes sense. I didnt get time to proof read wife wants me to go out on errands. -
I pvp'd or the first time in ages. It was actually against someone that was kinda nice and helpfull. Even though at times he sat by my spawn point and killed to fat to secure a win.
But that i get over easily.
Here is the question. Its still FOTM or its still more money more wins. There is skill involved but it is very little. No matter how much the most frequent pvp'ers want to say its not. A FOTM vs. any other toon is still win. Whcih is ok. But a pvp built toon vs a non pvp bult toon is still a win.
Now here is my question?!?!?!?!?
Should a toon that is uber such as a fire fire fire tank (fire primary, fire secondary, fire epic) be uttterly uselless.?
Sriously if that fire tank got every accolaide and every io in the game 5 purples, 4 or 5 pvp ios and all great slots in everything else. Should that tank regardless of ability stand no chane?
I mean if a very very experienced pvper was on that same toon. Every accoaldie and every purple and pvp ios in the game needed to pimp a toon. Should that toon even stand a chance? Cause right now there stand no chane regardless of the influ they put in. SO if you spend 30 billion yes 30,000,000,000 (yes 10 zeros) that toon stands no chance.
so its only fotm vs fotm and that is all.
so why even have pvp why not turn pvp into invite to pvp only. But, !!!!! in any zone. why turn rv, wb, bb, into pvp zones where a fotm can greif till no end. whilest a nice player with a new toon with 30 billion on cannot.
This is just a hypothetical. I wonder what the devs think.
The saddest thing of this post is that no dev will read it and no devs care about pvp
example: a fire fire fire tank vs. a earth fire dom, or a sonic dark coor. its a no chance fight.
why even allow this to happen. Its nothign but greif grief grief. how is this fun for people that are thinking of paying you money but have not yet?
where is the fun in this.
And yes I had a major FOTM on more than one occasion over the last 6 years. SO I understand the win side. But wow the butcher weak loose side is "this game is doen bai" -
I think the blaster set is awsome on my Fire psy because it fire so often on my fast ranged attack.
But my energy blaster does not have his fast ranged attack picked.(which means I would nee to respec to even utilize this power since i already have 5 purples and 4 pvp io sets.
So i am not sure what to do.
I guess if i wanted to min max i could use it but there really is no reason. ANd that is the point of this post.
Not every toons needs em. They are not actually that awesome. For some characters yets there fantasmagorical. But mostly there meh.
And thats understandable.
I have 2 of every set(cause i am a collector) and i have only 2 sets total slotted on blaster set on my fire psy and one on my elec sheild brute(hes even more redonculious then before!) -
the best part is though that now that the ato's are catalyzed they are account bound and cannot be sold or traded.

AT's whose procs are more interesting than a plain dmg proc but might not be as interesting as I'd hope would be Defenders, Soldiers of Arachnos, Masterminds
AT's whose procs are just unimaginative and in some cases borderline useless? Controllers, Blasters, Corruptors, with Dominators only being here because of the what type of powers their set is designed to go in.
I would have liked to have seen the last group of procs be more AT centric like say Controllers having an improved chance to critical with their mez powers, Corruptors having their scourge damage increased, Dom's simply having their set be designed for their damage powers instead of mez powers... and Blasters... well I'm a bit head scratchy there... More dmg seems silly... but shoring up areas they don't excel at seems like a nice idea... like adding a debuff or a self buff to the blast the power is slotted in.
i guess you did not use the tank set. -

Its possible but its probably an exageration.
I get about one every 4 days of farming.
But i have had some amazing runs and some horrible droughts.
it happens.

Only IOs can be boosted. And the Catalysts don't necessarily boost the ATOs as they change what ATO you have completely.
Cause that makes me want to devote a whole post to people like you that are really just being mean, not nice, starting an argument, Inciting nothing, offering nothing to the conversation, not helping, and only being a knat.

To elaborate on the OP's 2nd question.
They are not construsted IO's and will not accept IO boosters, a possible factor in extreme builds.
Also, the baseline ATO's and the Catalyzed Purple of the same ATO, do not mix for set bonus purposes. Three of each type in the same power would mean two seperate sets of bonus 1 and 2. This may be an exploitable advantage in certain sets, but if you want set bonuses beyond the first two then all four, five, or six ATOs need to be one or the other.
