a few have 1 or 2 ranged attacks in their primary
though they could just weaken those accordingly, if they upped the range modifier... -

castle said that stalker snipes WITH crit (from hide) will do .9 of blaster snipes
and stalkers only get BU, while blasters can get BU and aim, so stalkers snipes could only out-damage a blaster's if the stalker used BU and was hidden, and the blaster used neither aim or buildup
if they changed that...that's retarded
can anyone confirm/deny this? -

brutes, stalkers, etc have a higher modifier on their melee attacks than their ranged attacks
for example a stalker using the same snipe as a dark corrupter (moonbeam) will do far less damage, because stalkers are meant to be weaker with ranged attacks and stronger with melee
there's more detail than that, but im not a dev or a supernerd
tanks and scrappers complained about their ranged epic powers being weak back when they were first introduced, so they got this fix too. im surprised it wasn't automatically given to the villains too, since the devs went through this already -
what about trollers with illusion (or other pets) going in and out of PFF dropping holds in the interim? why was that not nerf-worthy?

Honestly, what's _Castle_ going to do. Best thing that will happen is people keep saying how poor they are compared to the APPs and maybe 2-3 months down the line, you might see a change. It's not like they are going to scrap this entire issue and the Patron sets. Reason why Lord Recluse quit was because he couldn't do the things he wanted to do with the epic pools (or so it is rumored).

I PMed _Castle_ about the ranged modifier issue for stalkers/burtes V.S. scrappers/tanks that Kerzak posted and he just responded. "You are correct! Thanks. Maybe we'll get the villain PPPs set up similarly." Thanks for Kerzak for bringing the issue to light and we all know _Castle_ is the man!

on test i swapped out the passives on my nb/sr stalker for stimulant/aidself, and noticed immediately a much longer longevity
oh well, every set's gotta have some skippable powers so you can fill holes with power pools, right? lol -
fire and dark have self heals though

i've tried about 5 different combos of doms up to about lvl 12 (have a plant/fire i've gotten to 14)
yes i took the holds and not the immobs
but the control is just lacking on most until past lvl 20, it's like I could hold 1 guy and do some soft control on another, and do some piddly-[censored] damage, and leech off the team mostly
I'd rather have 2 control sets instead of 1 control set and 1 crappy damage set
oh well, guess doms aren't for me -
too bad the passives aren't worth taking on stalkers

if we're level 41, we should be getting stronger powers than we could get at lvl 4 -

So, say a group member puts sonic or fire shields on my bots, those shields somehow cease to exist when the bot interposes itself between me and the attack? That's just dumb. The attack should auto-hit on the bot of course, but the bot's resistances should still apply, his metal hide, or any resistance based shields aren't going to just vanish.
