  1. how does letting some control work for doms make things worse for controllers? i stopped reading your post after that because the rest probably didnt make sense either

you can always get buffed to get more mez protection or ranged defense from a shield...

    -_-...

Yes, but then, to prevent mez, you NEED to have a mez protection power buddy, or a Force Fields friend to buff you with whichever-Bubble. I'm all for teaming up and taking down foes, but requiring people to team AND get insps to protect from Mez is another layer of aggravation most people don't need in PvP...and, as anyone will tell you, NEEDING a specific power/set-of-two-or-three-powers/AT to keep Controllers (or Doms, or Ice Blasters, or...) from mezzing eveyone instantly no questions asked is a MAJOR no-no. Then, of course, there's the PvE imbalance: you thought mezzing enemies were bad BEFORE...well, yeah. I'm just pointing out that the road to Hades is paved with good intentions. Some solutions cause more problems, and that would DEFINITELY be one the devs would regret. An excuse for a "fix" is STILL an excuse.

OH NO the doms might actually get to use their primary powerset? egads we can't let that happen!

    Bodyguard

an invul tank actually has a chance of fighting back if he's tpfoed though. a mm has the lowest HP out of all heros/villains, and loses their offensive power and bodyguard when tpfoed
  4. my favorite idea for making domination usable more often would be that we could activate it at any % of the bar being full, but its buff is (obviously) less the less full the bar is

because i'd probably hit it at about 25% every other spawn (or so), instead of saving it up for the final boss of a mission
  5. that's what some suggested, but it would be a bit overpowered since mm's can re-summon pets relatively often

a similar but less abusable way would be is if a single-target attack on a MM had a % chance to be taken by a henchman instead. they could even use the same %'s that bodyguard currently uses, so it maxes out at 75% evasion (i think that's the max)

    oh well, not gonna happen
  6. you can always get buffed to get more mez protection or ranged defense from a shield...
  7. ooh i really like that idea of control attacks not being "typed" for defense to defend better against them

they'd still be "ranged" attacks though, so the positional defense would still work, but you'd still hit more often against the regular types of defense
  8. the problem is that pets can't chase targets down. everyone just superjumps away after they kill a MM
  9. people would just buy orange inspirations for 50 infamy
  10. that invis bug happend to me too, cant remember how i fixed it
  11. this armor is not overpowered at all

if its not the worst brute armor, it's the 2nd worst

add to that that elec primary is the worst for brutes, and all those elec/elec concept characters are going to have a tough time
  12. dunno about defenders but my ice/kin corrupter is fun as crap
  13. i guess the solution is to team

which i dont mind, but when my control is half-[censored] and my damage is half-[censored], i wonder what im supposed to actually be good at. a ice/dark corrupter can get 3 ST holds by lvl 30 (i think?) which is great for stacking mag, and they get good damage and debuffs too
  14. chiming in to say that we should have a choice

same with the new crappy /invul colors
  15. nope

the devs dont acknowledge mm or dom problems
  16. scrappers are already in melee though

for corrs its a bit riskier, since their "defense" is range
  17. shrug yeah me too

too bad the ai doesnt work like that anymore
  18. those 3 heros must have been pretty bad then, lol
  19. even that wouldnt make enough difference i think

pretty weird, im sure there was some player-caused reason for his ease with the 54's or his difficulty with the 50's
  20. well we all gotta get that 4th debt badge sooner or later, right?
