I had to switch to Security Guards to get guys in uniforms like I wanted. They work ok, as far as looks go. -

It's not really a big deal, but I tried to write it so that villains get more respect. Too many villain side missions feel like you're doing someone else's evil scheme. This is one you can do for yourself.

Hmm, ok, not quite working. First, he doesn't attack the players right away, which is what I was hoping for.
Second, the escort does work with the big orange box type exit, which is what I have. Can't really change the map either, this is one of the few maps that work for me (the only one for this mish, really).
Other ideas? Can the escort be made to attack the players right away? -
I don't see any way to have a captive fight the team, along with the group that captured him. Like the Cim missions, where you free the captive but then he turns on you also.
Any ideas? I'd really like to use the Rescue objective if I could, that placement looks better. Fight a Boss looks kinda fun if I set it up like that. -
I feel demons should be Fire, Dark, and some Mind powers, including Placate and Confuse.
Also. Posi said today that Beta for I15 will be open to everyone.
Also, 35M download on test. Dunno what's in it yet. -

I do wonder why this change occurred. Do any other NCSoft products have studios with separate names? If not then it seems odd. I'm trying not to doom, but it seems like there might be more here than just a name change.
Of course, NCNC was (and is) hiring like mad. There's tons of new faces, more ambitious free updates than we've seen a a while, and in general no sign that NCSoft wants to pull the plug (like Tabula Rosa). So I also wonder if the opposite is possible. New games from Paragon Studios?
At least a console version of CoX would be cool.... -

Actually, this is sorta a point. While many of my toons are sitting on about 25 free costume changes, many of my newer toons aren't. How about dropping a couple of free costume changes in the box too, considering that that's what we're buying it for (mostly, I assume)?

I like the Beast Mastery idea. One thing however, the devs have said no four legged models, ever. Just too much for the game to handle. So I think some "hybrids" would be ok. Like weres and humanoids with animal traits. Leopard-girls, Lion-men, the RhinoBeast, Flying Eagle Woman, etc.
Another thing, besides the "ringleader" motif you have with all the whip attacks, I think some folks might like to play a MM who was also a beast person themselves. This might mean adding some "claws" type attacks and removing one or two whip attacks.

No, you can assume they'll issue the Freespec on (or after) 4/7.

There's a hero mission, very early, in Atlas Park, where you go around and read plaques to learn about hero history (or something like that). A similar mission, red-side, after your first arc, might be a neat addition. -

I agree with this whole thread. There have been a ton of features, enhancements, fixes and plain old groovy new stuff added in the last 18 months or so. The dev team should be patting itself on its collective back right now.
If I had to pick just one though:
VEATs.

On the other hand, I quite disagree. I really hated random drops. It seemed so arbitrary, and unfair for those of us who didn't want to rerun the same TF/SF over and over again just to try to get that one drop. Now I can run any TFs I want, and then just choose my reward when I want. I love this.
I'm also the kind of person who like to put my money in the bank and get a little interest each month, rather than go to the Vegas slots with it and hope for a big score. That's exactly random drop system felt like to me: a big ol' RNG powered one-armed bandit. The merit system is much better.
Maybe the devs could punch up text on your screen when you get merits. Make it gold colored or a blend of gold and silver. Make a new sound for merits earn. That's as far as I'd go for making merits themselves more interesting.
OTOH, I think merits have illustrated how villains really get the short end of the stick when it comes to TF/SFs. I'm really shocked at the variety and number of TFs suddenly being run. By itself, that's great, but I sure wish villains had the same options.
Suggestion: make new villain SFs. Allow Heroes to "infiltrate" these missions. Let Heroes go find out what those evil villains are up to! Then just change the ending slightly, just the end text, so that Heroes keep whatever was the objective (information, some object) for themselves, thus "winning" against the villains. Or they destroy the objective themselves once it's purpose is revealed. (Could be done with just a click glowie after a "protect" final mish.)
Bonus points if Heroes actually go to Rogues' Isles for this SF. Not for teaming with villains, but not in PvP mode either. (But they should be able to fight street spawn.) Probably can't use the ferries either, gotta stay in the one zone of the SF.

I don't think you need any code. Just use your current account and password, your freebies are keyed to that account. You don't need to buy the client or pay extra money at all, just download it for the Mac and you're ready to go.
You might want to buy the client anyway (faster than download). Just use your current account name and password and all your stuff will still be there. -

Against All Odds toggle drops when mez'd

Bug Description: I understand toggles should not drop automatically now, and Battle Agility and Deflection on my Shield Defense tanker do not. However, Against All Odds dropped every time I was held or slept when fighting Lost. This seemed odd; I'm not 100% sure it's a bug, but I thought I'd mention it.
And by "dropped" I mean the button itself went "small" and started to recycle after I got mezed. I have to manually click on the button to reactivate it after it finishes recycling, which is several seconds.

I like the tech lift a lot.
How about a "stone henge" mystical portal entrance?
Bonus points if this stuff animates just before someone enters, ie, the arrows light when someone uses the tech lift.
I could see a free standing "vault" entrance that could be backed into a wall, so it looks like it's projecting out from the wall. This would work well for a "sewer entrance" too, a pipe that looks like it project from the wall.
All this stuff should orient the character entering too, so we're not facing a corner when we log in. To prevent abuse, either they dont' work on raids (or you could force folks to zone into a corner) or they have a big "empty space" in front of them so you have to allow a lot of space when you place it.
