  1. The Strike Pack is just Issue 19. You have already.
  2. BMT of Champion
    Champions Unlimited

Make a personal base, jump on those two global channels, and have a blast. The global channels are ideal for people with hectic schedules. There's no commitment, no hard feelings if you don't make the Tuesday Hami raids, and there's way more folks on those channels than any SG.

    My 2 Inf.
  3. Hmm, ok. Again just asking: why not /Sheild? It has +HP, resists, defense, and a cool shield. I don't know how well this IOs, but it's a bit different than other sets too.
  4. Just a thought:

Why not try /Dark? If you already have two 50's, and you know the game, why not try something more challenging? Sure /Dark starts out weak (relatively) but I understand with IOs it can be made quite scary.

Thinking here of something that might be more fun for an experienced player.

/Willpower is still the tough brute set for many players, if that's what you mean by "can depend on." I'm not sure how to slot it but I see a lot of players using it. Invulnerability is still considered good too, I believe.

Might want to tell us how you expect to "depend" on this character, we might be able to give you a bit more advice.

Nope, the To-Hit algorithm always choose the best defense, so just getting those three up to the soft cap (or close, or beyond it) means you're good.

SR actually does have some sliding resists, but that doesn't change the Defense part of it. Melee/Ranged/AoE is all you need.

I just checked and noticed that Power Boost (Black Scorpion) is a bit better in some regards than PBU. Recharge 120s instead of 240s, and a 15s duration vs 12.5s. I can do six bubbles while PB is active.

Now the value of PB is much less: 65% boost to def vs. 98% for PBU, but I think PB is still the more useful of the two.
  10. I have a Bots/FF (that I love) and went Nerve too. The Accuracy is nice because bots doesn't have any extra pet powers to slot auras or other pet IOs into. So I can slot for extra powers this way and still all my pets are now over 90% accuracy.

And for the Bubbles, as it's a secondary, I have to slot lots of Def, but right now with the rare Nerve and Power Boost, I can pass the soft cap: 45.6% def adding Dispersion Bubble and Maneuvers (which any FF MM wants anyway).

Note that I'm measuring with the little bubbles power boosted, but Dispersion Bubble and Maneuvers at normal. With Power Boost active, I have 53%+ def.

I took a screenshot, but forgot to turn on the UI, so you'll have to take my word for it. Pics maybe later after the mouse battery charges up.
  11. It actually would be cool to get some new enemies. A gang of anthropomorphs a la The Island of Doctor Moreau would be fine.

I'd like to see two groups: one an "enslaved" group that only does their evil creator's bidding, and a "freed" group that's more self interested and maybe works like the more enlightened members of the Praetorian resistance.

I usually just view the text as the speaker's opinions, not mine. So the contact is say gee, what are you going to do? Free the seers and let the resistance get 'em? Or save Praetoria and keep the seers? But the reasons I choose are my own, not the reasons the contact gives. The resistance getting the seers isn't the point, to me. It's freeing the young women. If they find a good home in the resistance, then fine.

Now, some of my characters will choose differently, because they don't view the world that way. But it's still their reasons, they don't necessarily agree with the contact either.
  14. I also have to disagree, Sam. Freeing the seers is clearly the correct moral choice. Forced labor, forced servituded, imprisionment for no crime, clearly violate all the normal rights and freedoms that we hold. The fact that there are political implications as a result are just the consequences of your choice.

What I really like about Going Rogue: we have conversations like this one on these forums.

    Venge off Blaster.

    Finish off tank smasher.

Give Blaster a wakie and tell him he needs to control his aggro better.

I frakenslot ML. Usually Def/Rech, one LotG, one Red Fortune, one Serendipity. Maybe one more.

Hasten + LotG 7.5% recharge is your friend. With A-Merits, the LotG are much easier to get.

This. Please. It's silly and annoying the way it is now.

I'm also seconding calls for increased recipe storage. The Vault and one type of base storage (enhancement tables?) would be logical places to store recipes.

    Some more thoughts:

    1. Allow me to filter level range and origin type on vendors that sell multiple types of enhancements (almost all of them).

    2. Also allow me to filter by specific enhancement. For example, Damage, Hold, Jump Height, Heal, etc. I only need one at a time (no need for multiple types at a time) so I can just find the one specific enhancement I'm looking for. A lot of enhancements have similar looking graphics and I often can't tell them apart visually. A filter would help a lot.

Also, I'd like to be able to more easy move my own salvage around. I really hate that little dialog that asks how many of something to transfer, and I want to be able to by-pass it. What I'd like to do is use the Control key and the Shift key to either select one item, or all items up to 10, because that's what I do mostly is move one of something from the Vault to my storage because I'm going to use it, or move all of something to the Auction house or the Vault because I'm storing or selling it.

    1. Mouse drag salvage: works as now.

    2. Mouse+control drag salvage: moves one item of salvage, no dialog.

    3. Mouse+shift drag salvage: moves all, up to 10, of salvage stack, no dialog.

When combining enhancements, make the "Success" animation about 90% shorter. Yes, its very pretty, and I'm sure some intern worked very hard on it, but when I got 30 more slots to work through, it is nothing more than a speed bump.

I was griping about this myself on BMT of Champion just today. What I'd like is an "Auto Upgrade" button. It should work like this:

    1. I walk up to an appropriate vendor, view their "store" if needed, and select the "Auto Upgrade button from the list of SO enhancements on the right.

    2. The "Auto Upgrade" button calculates the following:

2a. First it finds the correct origin and the highest level enhancements I can use on that vendor. If it can't find any (all too high level, all too low level, wrong origin) it tells me so and stops.

2b. The it finds each RED enhancement I currently have slotted. This should exclude IOs (they never go red) and any empty slots (they don't count). Also exclude any yellow enhancements, just the expired (RED) ones.

2c. For each RED enhancement, it finds the corresponding SO on the vendor that's the highest level I can use, and tallies up the cost.

2d. Then it displays a dialog: "It will cost XXX Inf to replace all of your RED enhancements with new level (level) enhancements. Do you want to do this? [Yes] [No]'

    3. If I select Yes, then it goes ahead and makes the swap as determined in step 2c. I don't want any animations of the SOs combining, or see the Enhancement Management screen, just make the swap silently and deduct the amount from my Inf.

Obviously, if I want to change my slotting, I have to do that manually first, before Auto-Upgrading the rest, but that's a much smaller deal. The big deal is repetitively buying and upgrading the same enhancements every 5 levels.

The problem is that popular server channels are often full, and that newbies don't know about the server channels. Only folks who show up here on the forums know about the server channels.

    Some possible solutions:

    1. Have the devs make a permanent, server wide channel for each server. This would work like /request (which I think is server wide), but be purposed for teaming and such.

    2. Increase the player limit for player channels. 2.5k is way too low. The problem with /request is it can become filled with spam and is a pain for Paragon to manage. Player manged channels spread the work of managing the channel and tend to be less spam filled.
  20. Well, channel time-out is basically a kludge. It removes people who haven't logged in a while. But the problem is that if you have more than 2.5k active users who want to use the channel, it can't accommodate them all.

This is frankly a solution I use as well. The only issue is that I don't think you can craft anywhere nearby at KR. I just use Steel if I'm going to be crafting. Usually not too bad. Stay away from AP, it's a zoo.

Red side, both Port Oaks and St. Martinal have Abandoned Labs for crafting and their BMs are nearly always dead as a door-nail.

That's going to be a bit more difficult, I'd think. How about like 6pm - 2 am eastern time? Or weekends?
  23. I think it's time we requested the Devs up the capacity of global channels well above the current 2k limit.

  25. I'll betcha that they're just turning off the double XP. Strike Pack to follow around the 8th-10th....

    That's my guess anyway.
