Also, visit the forum for your server. (The forum here, on these forums.) Say "Hi" and ask about global channels. Best way to make new friends and have teams to run missions and trials with. -
Dunno. Maybe ask in the Virtue forums? Two ideas:
1. Global channels have pretty much taken over teaming in this game. Ask on the Virtue forums what are good channels for teaming, you'll have a much better chance of hooking up PUGs.
2. Trials: everybody and their brother with a 50 is doing trials right now. If they're not doing trials, they're doing Tips. Praetoria was full when it launched but most folks have run it several times now. Again, global channels might help you find some folks that are running the same content as you.

However, I wouldn't recommend re-rolling like Mr. NoBody suggests. Keep the existing toons, just start new ones. You've got plenty of slots. -

However if you're just asking about advice starting a controller, I'd definitely go Praetoria. Some love it, some hate it, but it's new and shiny and you should decide yourself if you like it.
Personally, I would also recommend rolling a villain and starting in Mercy. VEATs, you know.
And hanging out on Champion. -

Dunno. Probably because the game is coded that way. Did you try $level or $archetype with /petsay_all? Do they work?

You are accruing Paragon Points right now. 400 this month and 400 more in August. You'll be able to get that booster just with those points "for free" after Freedom launches.
Plus if you wait, when you do spend money in the store you'll get reward points that allow you to essentially buy vet rewards.
It's win-win for us to wait. Freedom is a much better deal for paying customers. I hope Paragon Studios realizes this and launches soon, for their sakes.

It works for me, and I'm on a mid-range laptop. I suggest you turn the graphics quality all the way down for raids and such. I used to have to do that during Mothership raids on my old system. Just turn it back up a notch for solo/normal team play. -

I'm gonna add something different: play a Fortunata.
Not the strongest toon while leveling, but it has melee, it has range, it has control, it has team buffs, and once you hit 50 it really does become quite powerful once you make Mind Link perma.
I can't compare it with a well outfitted Brute, for example, but my Fort is easily the most powerful toon I have right now. -

Don't forget that VIP subscribers will accrue about 400 Paragon Points per month. That should buy one "pack" every two months. Provided you don't spend all your virtual dough on emotes and costumes, you'll be able buy these powers with out spending additional money.
I'm a little disappointed also, but it's important to think through the whole picture. I *think* the free Paragon Points each month will mean that VIP subscribers do get the new powers for free.
You just have the options of getting something else instead. If you don't like the Street Justice set for example, you could decide to buy the Steam Punk costumes instead. Right now, we have no choice but to take new Power Sets for free whether we like them or not, and we must pay extra for any of the Costume Packs. Issue 21 should give us a bit more flexibility. -

Those are almost always pre-owned and opened. They typically say "played once". That means the code has been used, and they are no good for you. I wouldn't buy one.

This is one thing I do like about CoH: it is fairly easy for an MMO, but if you don't use your head and employ some kind of strategy, you won't do well. Is his account really "locked?" Because NC Soft has recent increased the security on their website. You have to supply your special question now in addition to your password and a few other things. So he might be locked out because he forgot his question/answer.
You'll probably need the support account anyway if he can't remember it. Support can recover a forgotten account. -
I'd also like to point out the following:

If you continue your subscription, you don't have to buy your way back up the ladder. You automatically get the top Tier 9.
If you go free-to-play, you have to buy your way back up the ladder. But of course you have no more monthly fee.
And I have no idea how the consumables work. Get new ones monthly? One time use? Dunno. -
The "cheque" used is also incorrect in context. I assume je Saist was being humorous.
