Is that how quick i recover? or is that health? thanks

    Regeneration -> Health (Green bar)

    Recovery -> Endurance (Blue bar)

    Recharge -> Powers (no bar)

Yeah, if you're talking about the set bonus, then it's always been the rule of 5. You can slot up to 5 sets that give a particular bonus. After that any additional bonus of the same type doesn't do anything.

This applies to the value itself, not the set. So if touch of death gives a +2.5% def bonus and Aegis also gives a +2.5% def bonus, you can get that one bonus at total of five times from any combination of ToD or Aegis. After 5, you won't get any benefit from additional +2.5% bonuses from any set.

However, you can still get other bonuses to def. If Positron's Hidey Hole gives a +2% bonus, you can still load up on 5 of those and get the bonuses from that.

There are a few exceptions. Notably Luck of the Gambler +7.5% recharge is tagged differently from all the other +7.5% recharge bonuses, so you can get 5 LotG and then 5 of some other 7.5% bonus. There's one or two more, but that's the really huge one.

As I think every other post has said, this looks like the art team has knocked one out of the park. Great, great job re-imagining these models in such a short amount of time. You seem to have hit every facet of our concerns right on. I'm greatly looking forward to seeing these guys in game.

Yes and no. You do have to make a Tier 1 first. The Tier 1 gets used (consumed) when the Tier 2 is made. You don't have to stick the Tier 1 in a slot if you don't want to.
    Quote:
In addition to that, If I do slot tier one and then move on to tier two can I use the tier one I have slotted to make the tier two or do I have to make a completely new tier one?
You can use the old one. Incarnate enhancments can be removed or replaced at any time, unlike regular enhancements. So you can slot the Tier 1, use it for a while, then make the Tier 2 (which consumes the Tier 1). You could then make a second Tier 1 (of a different type perhaps) and swap the two out as you like. Note there's a "battle cool down" between swaps -- you won't be able to swap right in the middle of a fight. I think the cool down is 5 minutes.

IO Set slotting. If I remember right, you could only slot three of a particular set, but I've been seeing builds posted where people are slotting 5 of a set.
No, only 3 of a REGULAR type are effective. More than 3 REGULAR enhancements get the nerf bat and don't do much. You can slot more than 3 if you really want to.

But IO Set have different values which make them not hit the ED cap (the nerf) until you get many more. So it's worth it to slot 5 or 6 to get the full set bonus.
  5. I haven't heard "any." I heard that the 10 base AT will now start in Galaxy City. I don't know about VEATS and HEATS, and what will happen to Praetoria as a starting zone. And I don't know if Atlas Park is still a starting zone.
  6. A = automatic, the first slot that's there by default.

You should PM Zillinger with the list above and a link to this thread. Usually the CRs sees these threads but a PM doesn't hurt.

I've had pretty good luck with bugs being fixed too. I've even been in a few beta tests for CoH (none recently though) and seen enhancements I requested implemented. But some bugs are hard and take longer to squish. The problem with Mastermind pets becoming unresponsive has been around for a while and I'm afraid might be with us for some time. The others, I'm still hopeful.

True. I waited until level 50 to really bother. Crated IOs do provide a nice extra boost once you get to 50 and wonder where to take your character next. (Well, or at least they did before incarnates.) But they aren't strictly needed.

I do recommend at least looking at them. Even if you don't have time or money, you should at least decide if you want to invest the time, or do something else. It's kind of like badging. Some folks like spending their time getting badges, some folks like making a bunch of crafted IOs for their character. Some folks do neither and just beat up lots of dudes. It's all up to you.
  9. We're seeing a lot of returning folks. Here's my list from another thread:

13 Power and Responsibility: Day Jobs (log out to get stuff). 2nd build. Villains can easily respec their Patron now. Starting supergroup bases are now much cheaper. Have a Shield power set now.

14 Architect: Introduced player made content. Also TF/SF drop Merits now, just collect enough and buy the recipe you want. Flight and Hover speed increased greatly; basically you don't need to slot them any more.

15 Anniversary: Dominator revamp, base damage increased greatly. Costume tailor in Pocket D now, Mastermind pets no longer block owner's movement.

16 Spectrum: Color your powers almost any color. Also many alternate animations have been added. Choose these at the tailor/costume creator. More better difficulty options. Super sidekicking. Many badge requirements lowered.

17 Dark Mirror: Ultra mode (better graphics). Posi task force major revamp. Chat hide. Auction house UI revamp. Lots of little QOL stuff. Animated tails.

18 Shades of Grey: Alignment & Tips missions (these are awesome). Auction House merger -- red and blue are now the same market. Cathedral of Pain.

19 Alpha Strike: Merged the monorails, ferries and black helicopters; get to anywhere from anywhere. Fitness inherent. Help channel is now /hc

20 Incarnates: More black helicopters. BAF and Lambda for Incarnates (must have Going Rogue). Leagues (teams of up to 48 players). LFG queue system.

20.5 Incarnates Ascend: AoE buffs for FF/Thermal/Kin/Ice others.

There's much more but that's my condensed version of the stuff that will affect you the most. Check out the link to Paragon Wiki above!

It is a bit complicated at first. After you play with it a bit, you'll understand better. It's a bit like riding a bike: not so bad once you get the hang of it.

Advice: most of this can be ignored until level 40 or so. Just use the regular Dual Origin and Single Origin (after level 22) Enhancements bought from a vendor. They'll work fine. Sell all your salvage for $$$ so you can afford them.

Only exceptions: Pick a couple low level powers and Sets and play around with them, just to see how they work. This'll give you some experience planning for later. Just don't break the bank, crafting can be expensive. Always keep about 3 mil Inf around in case you have to buy a full new set of SOs for your character.

Some Invention Origin Enhancements work better at low levels. Celerity: Stealth or Steadfast: +Defense. These you might want to pick up right away. Use Tip missions to get these, as they are beau-coup expensive on the market.

I love how we gave totally different answers here.

    1. Buffs from different powers stack, although Defense comes in two types which are a little tricky. Two Run Speed buffs stack up to whatever limit the devs set. Two Damage Resistance buffs stack, up to 90% Damage Resistance. Etc.

    2. But the IOs in the buff don't stack up. They only affect that one power. If Temporary Invulnerability has an Endurance Reduction, it uses less Endurance, but no other power does. Temp Invul. gives you Resistance and that's it, it doesn't give End. Redux.

    3. Set bonuses are GLOBAL and DO apply to ALL your powers (unless they state otherwise. Most "procs" only affect one power). An IO Set bonus that gives for example +9% Accuracy gives that accuracy to ALL powers, not just the one. Look at your tray where the powers are, click on Powers then on Combat Attributes way at the top of the window that opens. All your global bonuses are listed there.

Yes, up to a maximum of 3. For example, up to 3 damage enhancements in an attack power will boost it up to about 96% more damage. The actual story on "up to 3" is a little complicated, see here: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Enhancement_Diversification

    Quote:
    2. Do enchantments "spread" across to help with your toon (ex. Does run enhancements on sprint and speed(?) stack?

No. If you have for example an Endurance Reducion Enh. in your Blast power, it doesn't reduce endurance used of sprint or Super Speed or any other power except that one Blast power.

Standard slotting for attacks is one Accuracy, three Damage, one End. Redux, one Recharge. You can swap one of the latter two for one extra Acc., but you shouldn't need too. Mez, buffs and debuffs are similar except you substitute the three Damage for say a Hold, or a Defense Buff, or a To-Hit Debuf. Most non attack powers only need one Enh. of their type, just damage powers get three Damage by default.

    Quote:
    3. Sets. Do they have to be on same power?
No. Mixing and matching IO Sets in one power is called "Frankenslotting." Normally you do want all the same set so you can get the most bonus. (You get no bonuses if you don't have the requisite IOs from the same set on the same power.) But sometimes there are good reasons to Frankenslot.

I probably won't buy any. There are just way too many power sets in game already for me to be concerned about it. About half of is in game I haven't played seriously yet. (Can you believe I have no Doms at all?) So there's still lots more to try out. Maybe one day I'll have to play one of the new ones, but it's not a priority yet.

Just a quick word of caution: They tried Ice Slides in that other Heroes Online game. The problem with it was to make the "slides" they had to create 3D geometry follow the player around. And that led to griefing, or at least the concern, where players with Ice Slide could block off parts of the game, trap other players, prevent access to contacts and trainers, etc.

So the other game took out Ice Slides. Now they just have an Ice Rock you glide around on. Not as cool.

I think you might be able to make Ice Slides if the extra geometry was intangible or didn't affect player or pet pathing in any way. People could just run through it. There'll be a little issue with obscuring NPCs and what not, but as long as you can still click on the target then there won't be any incentive to grief, and I doubt any one will bother to try.

You can see you target's target health and endurance, if you see them on screen. They'll have a little health and end bar over their head.

Lastly, as a neat trick, you can target an enemy and still "target their target." If you use a friendly power like a buff or a heal on an enemy, it'll buff/heal their target, i.e., which ever teammate they are currently focused on. Just sayin'.

A proper target of target (probably in the existing target window) would be helpful, but we have some tools in the meantime.

Welcome! (And I really do agree with the larger cursor thing.)
  18. It's possible to gram something on the Chat window and drag that divider back up to the center of the Chat window. Try grabing the bar just above the box where you enter chat text, and the one on the top of the frame just under the LFG, Team, etc. menu.

It's pretty random and I have to kind of randomly click and drag when it happens to me. If that doesn't work, the methods above sound a bit slower, but more sure.

Jack-In-Irons always stuck me as one of the better models in game. There's both a solidity to him and the way he moves, and the shading/textures used give him a depth (in the spatial sense) that is sometimes lacking with other models.

Ghost Widow and Sirocco are two very striking models, and their writing is often better. Both Black Scorpion and Captain Mako seems to be lacking gravitas -- personality wise and visually. The models are fine, just something lacking in the concept I can't quite put my finger on. Lord Recluse is a little the same. The spider legs and purple cape help him stand out a bit, but the rest of it is kinda bland.

Blue side, I'm going to go with Statesman, he's got the flag suit thing going on. I've always liked that. Sister Psyche and Back Alley Brawler are good too, I've almost always enjoyed the way they're portrayed and used in various missions. A lot of the Freedom Phalanx and the Vindicators are fine, in concept, very distinct. Many of those models need updating though, some of them are really dated.

The Cimeroran equivalents are neat too.

I don't think it's going away (not sure though, there might be a new interface) and your respec will be still tied to specific badges.

Positron said a while back that all your current badges and rewards will be "re-chosen" for you automatically when Freedom hits. Thus you won't have to do anything, and you won't get the option of doing something different. I think you'll get one extra choice for each year you've been signed up (that's the X/12 part), so you get to choose a few extra goodies. And it looks to me like a few rewards are being replaced -- you may get to rechoose those.

More than that, I don't think we know.
  23. Your best bet is to post in the technical support forum, and send a PM to Avatea or Zwillinger about the issue.
  24. Dunno, I think it's a bug. I noticed this a long time ago. (There's one other Enh. type missing, or two, can't remember which they are.) I /bugged it but it was never updated. I don't know why.
