    Movies!

Are you the same guy that was looking forward to the Transformers movie?

    I CALL SHENANIGANCE!

    Movies!

    No. I will fight you.

Any woman that can make my wife say how hot she is... and I'm sitting there like, "Yeah, she's kinda pretty..."
  3. It does amaze me immeasurably that a feature people have yelled and screamed over for years and years, that people have 'quit' over, that people have threatened nuclear holocaust over, is now such a point of angst and dooomspeak.

And it is something that can be fixed (for the player at least) as easily as this.

Sure, other people might think you're a poopypantsed dirtyshorts if someone casts a brown SB on you, but, meh.

Freedom comes with a price, everybody. Your 'electric blue pompoms of zappystyle' can also be my 'poo-brown poocakes of ... poo.'

Perhaps others will consider the consequences of their requests more carefully in the future... nah, probably not.

Oh God, I have to go see The Ugly Truth.

    1) Katherine Heigl makes men everywhere stand up and salute.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Fixd that for you.

    ... With their Hands, guys!

    ...

... Miltary salute, guys!!! you filthy buncha...

    UNbelieveable.
  5. All due respect, Steel, but Rick James said it better than I ever could.

...But many of your thoughts are things I myself have briefly wondered. So kudos to you.

    Movies!

That looks VERY promising. Thanks Viv.
  7. On topic: The devs produce a product. It is up to them to make it the product that the customers want to purchase, and to continue to purchase.

Ownership is 'irrelevant'. If the Devs make a product they like and no one else likes, great for them, but... no money.

If the devs make a perfect product, but it costs more than they can charge, they go bankrupt, and... no game.

So, like all things, it is a balancing act. And as long as the devs continue to interest us with things like new releases and new features, and they keep costs under control, the game goes on.

    This is pretty basic economics.

When I play, the character is 'mine' in the sense that in my mind, it can be anything I want... kind of like a character in a book, where the author has no final control over your interpretation. So using my imagination, my characters take on a life that even the devs, in all their grandeur, will never match... but I like the parts they have a handle on aok so far.

In fact, there are a number of examples of art that have expanded so far beyond their creators that they have become integral parts of our greater pop culture for example: [snip]...and the music of Queen.

    [/ QUOTE ]

[pardon the threadjack] Kudos to you, sir. This cannot be said enough times. A freaky British wierdo from Zanzibar has taken over the musical world!! All Hail Freddie!

Now back to our regularly scheduled CoX banter.

A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey? Well that can't be good...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, this may actually not suck [censored]. Remember, he can actually act sometimes, when a brazillion dollars isn't being dangled before his nose to do 'anything'... witness 'The Truman Show' and 'Man in the Moon'...

The guy has chops, it's just about whether he is willing to simmer down and use them....

Nah, but seriously, have fun ladies.

At heart, all of you agree with me. A one time fee would be far better. You may be ridiculing it, there's nothing wrong with the idea. The continuous fee is more ridiculous than the idea to replace it with a one-time fee.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is just flat out WRONG. It does not work as a business model, with the content we have received so far.

So no, "At heart", all of us do NOT agree with you. Last time I checked, I speak for ME.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
