People think happiness is external... imo, external circumstances don't make people happy - people decide to be happy, and this is influenced by external circumstances, but only to a point. Changing the circumstances, in many instances, (though not all) usually results in a change in the specific people who are happy, but often does not increase the general happiness level.

Seriously? Far and Away, The Single Most Requested Change In The History Of The Game, and people were still complaining??

I mean, look at music:
"Don't worry, be happy," - Happiness is the absence of unfounded concern for the future.
"Happiness is a warm gun." - self explanatory. A fairly controversial viewpoint regarding the relationship between joy and firearms.
"So Happy Together" - we are happiest when we are in groups.
"If You're Happy And You Know It" - If you determine that you find yourself in a state of happiness, bring your hands together quickly, making a 'clapping' sound. [But only do so if you are sincerely interested in letting others know it.]
"Happy Days are Here Again" - People have decided that the current time is a time of joy, unlike the recent past.
And everyone's favorite:
"Sunday, Monday, Happy Days.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days.
Thursday, Friday, Happy Days.
Saturday, What a day..." - All the days of the week are apparently very joyous, with special emphasis on the first full day of the weekend. -

A market is a natural hierarchy. (outside of extreme manipulation). Those who work harder get more.
And in my opinion, the IO system is inextricably linked to the market system. [Unless everyone can have everything, in which case, there will be a strong tendency for builds of a particular Primary/Secondary combination to look alike.]
Trying to make everyone happy is never successful. People are too different. -

I believe Many People enjoy the Invention system as it is currently. I do. [And by the way, your having 3 purpled out toons is a sign that the invention/market system is tuned EXACTLY right.. it sounds like you had to put forth some SERIOUS effort in doing that. THAT is the INTENT.]
Certainly there are improvements that can be made... But I believe "many people" enjoying it is all we can ever hope for. -

This is meant with all due respect, and for everyone who might agree with this (The original poster's) point of view:
1. Please read and learn about "Supply and Demand."
2. Please be sure you understand #1.
3. Enjoy life just a little bit more now that you have completed #1. Forumites will do the same.
If anything, I think what you REALLY want is for the drop rate to be increased, if what you want is the prices to go down. Of course, that is also wrought with difficulties.

I personally am not familiar with Lolbat, I am Very familiar with Red v Blue, and very excited anout RoosterTeeth being involved with CoX, and I'm sure they will add/attract other writing talent at some point.
I like that the CoX team is looking to poke fun at their own creations and efforts. Perhaps it is one thing that sets this game a little apart from all the others.
Now, I can't say I wouldn't be excited to see, for example, Stephen King, do a good super-horror story... -

A target creature, sighted by the archer
Archer lines up on the creature, creature looks to have realized it's been sighted
Creature moves toward archer, arrow has now left the bow, camera moving WITH the arrow.
Creature is now charging the archer, arrow is getting close.. creature may look concerned at this point
Creature's face changes to fear, face now fills frame
Arrow has struck, well, you can be as graphic here as suits you... -
I have enjoyed this build for a few years now. I slotted Obliteration and Touch of Death IO sets for maximum Melee def, a couple of Crushing Impact for the Rechg, while slotting up my shields for the resistance Res+Def>>>Def OR Res. I took Air Superiority for the KB mitigation (Its a great attack!) 4 pieces of Cloud Senses in Touch of Fear great for AVs and more mitigation in pulled too many situations.. Stamina gets 4 pieces of Perf Shifter. 3 Luck of the Gamblers planned for (Dont have them all yet) gives great rech, worth the price (with a little patience). Combat Jumping, Hover, Weave for Def; Fire Shield, Plasma Shield, Tough, Temp Prot for Resistance. Hasten is NOT in the build; it was a hard choice between Hasten and CJ. You might prefer Hasten.
Planned global bonuses: Rech ~53%, Acc ~66%, Melee def ~22% (before toggles), Recov ~22%.
Its not a super build, but it solos pretty well and teams aok too. I enjoy having the 3 PBAoEs up pretty often; I go solo to the fab, pop a little purple or 2, herd me up a clump of Crey or Arachnos, and triple-tap the PBAoEs, then drop whats left with MG/SL/AS/SM. By the time I drop the executioners and the Paragon Protectors, the PBAoEs are back up and ready. And my fury is near the top so I move to the next herd spot. End is NEVER an issue. Its quite fun! -

(Just kidding, My Ill/Rad is one of my favorite characters. EXTREMELY strong. And loads of fun. I recommend it!)
