Is PP vs GG going to become an Inernet Meme, or am I late to that particular party?

Quote:Having never served in any military capacity, my 'knowledge' is strictly from books and movies.Officers are the military's leadership. The thing to know is that, according to the book, any officer rank is superior to any enlisted rank, although junior officers usually recognize seniority and tenure of higher-ranking enlisted men, especially Staff NCOs (Staff Sergeants and above).
That being said, the one I remember and believe above all others about the military is that in general, a good new officer will first and foremost listen very closely to his NCOs. Because those guys have the experience that will keep them and their unit alive while the new officers learn up fast.
Every time I hear someone in movies/tv/books etc. called "Gunny" (short for Gunnery Sergeant), I always pay close attention to what that guy has to say.
So as good as it must be to be a General, (and of course, I do have a lot of respect for all the officers of the military), I see the real heroes as those guys who spend their time "Embracing the Suck" as it is known. Google it if you want some funny (grownup) reading. -
Steelclaw, you really need a life.
Oh yeah, great list, as usual. -
Yeah! Everything here costs like, 25x what it does everywhere else! Also, the NJ Devils? REAL. They're everywhere, like roaches. Hydra-headed roaches. Cut off the head, 2 grow back. And they're both pissed. And the laws of time and space don't even apply. We all age 6 times as fast as usual, which makes me... 91. DAAYUM. Better go get me my walker!
In case I wasn't clear with my irony, I Like NJ. I just think it's a little crowded, and if anyone found out how cool it actually is, MORE people would show up. -
To those calling for price caps. Please Think it through. Refer to INFINITY threads explaining this situation exhaustively. Also the people that have already posted in this thread on same subject. It is a game-destroying idea.
NO PRICE CAPS. -

Quote:Yes, this. What the hell did NJ ever give us?Jersey over all sucks. The state is so stupid they're not even allowed to pump their own gas. Through, the state does get nicer the further away you get from NYC and Phili.

In fact, everyone should move out of NJ now. Especially SH. I mean, seriously, it's a hole. A steaming pile of ... steaming things. Everyone leave, except all the people working in Italian restaurants. The good ones, I mean. (I know, that's most of them, but really.) And the teppanyaki ones too. Also, grocery stores. And the people that pump my gas. (In the -10 degree weather, even! Because why would anyone want that??!!) And the Starbucks people...
Nevermind. You can all stay. Except for SH. Just stay off the roads, ok? Except the people who work in the... -
Yeah, but in Rolemaster, if you rolled a 66, you usually chopped a guy's head right off. Srs Bsns.
Sometimes, even with a baseball bat. You think I kid. -
I was able to travel to my In-laws', alienate them and be-alienated by them, (along with my wife, who experienced the same), and return safely, all while spending a restful 35+ hours driving to and fro, some on windy (and wind-y) mountainous roads.
Oh, what fun. Pardon my bitter.
With no irony, (weird for me), I'm glad to hear most of you had a blast. -
Brandon is a master. Check out the sweet sweet Baka!

Is this a Beta feature in new Wife's? Or is mine bugged? Are you testing the new iWife, or did you jailbreak yours? Tell me how to configure mine to do this...

lagniappe:
1. A small gift presented by a storeowner to a customer with the customer's purchase.
2. An extra or unexpected gift or benefit. Also called regionally boot2.
Regional Note: Lagniappe derives from New World Spanish la ñapa, "the gift," and ultimately from Quechua yapay, "to give more." The word came into the rich Creole dialect mixture of New Orleans and there acquired a French spelling. It is still used in the Gulf states, especially southern Louisiana, to denote a little bonus that a friendly shopkeeper might add to a purchase. By extension, it may mean "an extra or unexpected gift or benefit."

My main is an Archery/Ice blaster. I love to play her. My second blaster is an Archery/MM. With the Electric epic, I now have 5 AOEs - 1 very strong mini-nuke (23s rech!!), 1 med-strong/~12 sec rech (explosive) and 3 cones. 3 aoe's available by L12.
I recommend it. -
On the other hand, reading Metacreativity's post, I want that guy on my team. ALWAYS.
-
My 2 cents, regarding MMs:
I loved playing my bots/FF MM when I started her... I got her to 50 almost exclusively solo, and that was before Bodyguard or the one-shot upgrades. But when I started teaming with her, playing her went from fun to work. Everyone wants bubbles, and I don't want to disappoint... Lotsa work. Even with a fire-and-forget powerset like bubbles, playing a mastermind decently involves huge multitasking and situational awareness. So I find myself very rarely playing my MM.
(edit) And also, yeah, whoever said you 'stand around a lot' is playing wrong. Even with Sandolphan's awesome binds, it was a full time job positioning and commanding 6 bots to do their thing. If you want to contiribute, that is.
(It's probably my predisposition to dislike 'maintenance' types of AT's (where there's a strong need to reapply buffs), it was probably a poor choice to begin with for me - rad suits me A LOT better personally. But I just wanted to drop in another opinion.) -
You scored 84.85% of the possible points for this test.
This means I apparently have a life?
Who am I kidding. -
CO is awesome.
WOW is superb.
I like Big Butts and I cannot Lie.
S**** P**** is the new Margaret Thatcher. (I even censored myself on that one!)
Too far? -

And Qatar. -
Worry will not solve any of these problems. Thoughtful actions and preventive measures will. And if you can do nothing about a situation, then wory will not help. Have a great day!

Does "This" refer to a lower-than-expected drop rate?
If so, I can has purpls moar? -
I think I speak for most of the people who read this thread when I say this:
I am sad.
In my pants.

Quote:Totally THIS. Stories are best told from the point of view of someone like the viewer - new to the story, learning it as he/she goes along. Seems to make it less self-important. Just my opinion. Please, no more origin stories. I hate to sound like a meat-head, but I would like to see more action than set-up out of a superhero movie.
Id rather see a movie that more closely mirrors my experience as a relatively fresh hero, and I think audiences would like that, too. Its a little hard to explain, but it would be like the movie The 13th Warrior. The main character isnt actually the main hero, and that makes it pretty darn intriguing.
Focus on a small, up-and-coming Super-Group during the Rikti War, and their struggle to make their mark, save the day, and still be people. Im ready for a superhero movie to touch my heart, and get it racing at the same time. Some have accomplished this expertly, and boy did I love it. -
I miss Computer Gaming Magazine very much. (I think now they run the 1up.com website, but the magazine was still my preferred way of having it.)
