Yeah we better shut er down. $6 million isn't nearly enough money!
In similar news, I hear Bill Gates' salary last year was $1!** Unbelievable! That must mean he's frequenting soup kitchens and living in a filthy box under a freeway somewhere!

** - this is a blatant, self-serving lie. I have no such knowledge, and I don't really care. It's a metaphor. Deal with it.
  2. I too would like to thank Shadow Ravenwolf for being a bit of a dbag and making what could have been a fun opporunity for some of us, instead, an example of Win at all Costs mentality.

By the way, Steel, thanks for giving us the chance. Perhaps the next one might be a closed bid auction, to avoid such actions.
  3. 10M for Triumph.
    25M for Protector.
  4. Bid on Protector for 10 million, please.
  5. I'd like to bid 50M for Victory.

    A thank you

So my bid creeping by 1 inf at a time on a 100M recipe is not worth it?

Seriously, Fury and Nethergoat, among others, have made the game much more enjoyable for me as well over the many months I have been a minor marketeer. 2 Fully purpled Archery blasters (5 purple sets each), as well as half a dozen other strongly IO'd characters, and 10 Level 25 Lotg special recipes waiting for slots to fill, and still around 4-5B among my other characters. And I'm a VERY casual player.

    Thanks guys, you rock!

Nicely put. Oh yeah, you forgot: "with a bats*** CRAZY hormonally challenged teenager incompetent GM..."

I'm bitter from time to time. The medications help... mostly.
  8. Sept 3rd, near the end of the article.

This will be epic. Danny Trejo is destined to surpass Batman and The Terminator in the annals of movie action hero history.

[Ok, maybe not, but still, he's awesome.]

    Agree with Obsidius.

Well, "loved" might be strong. But one of the worst? (On a par with Howard the Duck, Stop or my Mom will Shoot, Gigli, Chairman of the Board, It's Pat?) Dude, either you haven't seen many movies, or your movie sense is a little skew.
  10. I liked a number of the fights from Blade, and Blade 2.

I was going to mention that flick. One of my favorite action movies.

    Data Dump

I know this may be over the top, pie-in-the-sky, etc., but what the heck.

I'd love to see a command that allows you to dump the contents of ALL of your characters':

    enhancement inventories,
    recipe inventories,
    salvage inventories,
    vault inventories,
    ... that's all I can think of...

for all the characters you have, on every server (I'd settle for Per Server as well, but if the point is to support Global email sharing of items, [which is my point], all servers would be more useful.

That was a helluva run-on sentence. Also, I mean a text dump, which one can then manipulate as one sees fit. Comments (et flambe ) welcome. Thanks for your time.
  13. Fullscreen game, nothing else running in the background (except stuff like Herostats.) My machine is in my "dining room" (we use it as my 'office', which is 'where I play my games'). My TV is about 15 feet away, visible over the top of my onitor... so I have, in order of preference, either a Yankees game, one of the Kill Bill movies, or a 22nd-time-viewed repeat episode of Law and Order on. [Baseball and Law and Order make excellent background for CoX.]

I'm often on Ventrilo with friends, on headphones (yes, I can still listen to the TV).

I like to level deliberately - I tried the Speed Leveling thing, but it was less satisfying, and gave me less understanding of the nuances of play. I do like to purple out my characters, and I play the market to have enough to do it. I like to plan builds on spreadsheets (Mids is great, but more a Final Step), and I also keep track of which of my characters is holding what enhancements/etc. that way.

The game is complex enough to keep my interest for 5+ years now, and with the continuous QoL enhancements, (like sending yourself stuff via email), it avoids the frustration that it COULD cause.
  14. My main is my Archery/Ice Blaster, had her since I6. When everyone said it was gimp, took me a year to get to 50, but I slogged thru it (and I enjoyed it, regardless of others’ opinions). Then IOs came out, then Purple IOs, and then they buffed her and buffed her – and now she is stacked to the gills with as much bling as I could manage.

But it IS hard to choose, I’m pimping out a Arch/MM blaster, I have a great Ill/Rad Controller, my Dark/Fire Brute is a nonstop blast, my Stone/Stone Tanker is viscerally satisfying, my Rad/Elec Defender is terrific on TFs and Teams… as you can see, it would be impossible to choose just one.

    Old King Cole?

NICE! Nat King Cole is one of my favorite singers of all time, great link!
  16. Wow, these are terribly hard.

    1. The Oblongs - very tough call. The Oblongs was so... bizarre and hilarious.
    2. The Honeymooners - I cannot believe that was a one season show!!
    3. Archer - Don't know the Unusuals.
    4. Police Squad! - Don't know Dead.
    5. Clerks. Don't know either one.
    6. Clone High. The Tick is one of my favorites, but Clone High is masterful, and it carried a story more... better...er. But I hate you for making me choose.
    7. The Hichhiker's Guide. Never seen either one, but I love the book version of HHGTTG.
    8. That's My Bush - Don't know Freaks, though I've heard of it...

Yes it will be 'money' but it will be not a lot of money in fact you will be surprised at how little money you will get and you may even get angry but it will be of little use to you because you will find it very hard to contact me once you give me you money and if you last it out and ever DO contact me after much wrangling and cajoling I will simply inform you that I'm sorry but your gold which is now MY gold because you sold it to me haha has already been melted down and made into a giant gold bar which is of course not the case but that is what I will tell you and you will have no way of knowing whether I am lying or not which of course I am and of course you will feel pretty dumb having fallen for this which is by design hahahaha.
  18. Because I like to arrest people. With a fusillade of steel arrows. In Their Face.
  19. That's actually pretty freakin funny. Love the site!
  20. Besides the abovelisted reasons, I suspect another might be that it might seem like a 'joke'/novelty set, and kinda not match the current sets' tone. So either it's a jokey silly set, or it's a grim bastage clown hell bent on...

You know, like "Homey the Clown."

Kind of dichotomous. Not a lot of middle ground there. I suspect that the devs chose to focus their energy on more thematically malleable choices...

Well, GR will allow him to go from Grey to Black...
  22. Skippy will crush you for your INSOLENCE.
  23. Galadiman was the name of an old D&D character I had waaay back. (An Elven Paladin, his name translates literally into Tolkien elvish as "light good warrior" or somesuch.) I come up with my character names independently.
