Been there, mate! My Grav/Rad troller relies on Hasten heavily, and it clashes sooo hard with his pale blue Radiation Emission. Especially since the particle shapes from Hasten are so similar to the ones from Rad.

Oh my god. I HAD to click on this thread while I'm in class...
-
Seconded on the Goldbrickers. I want more content with them!
-
Took this on the test server, because I'm too broke... but Atomic looks fantastic on my Grav/Kin, the Hour Thief:
-
Okay, well, then that should work for him.
Dang it, why can't Americans have that option? -
Re: "Amazon has copies of both" -
This is true, and the Villains one might be worth buying since it comes with a month of gameplay... but the Heroes one is going for $35 used, and I feel iffy about spending that especially when the money isn't actually going to NCSoft. Also, I don't actually WANT all that physical clutter. I just want the digital items, and it'd be nice to be able to get them without paying for a lot of other things that are also bundled with it.
Re: CactusBrawler -
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Techbot Alpha an American player? The page you linked specifically says it only works on EU game clients. -
The Collector's Edition items, that is. Apparently, I will never have them, and neither will most players. This saddens me greatly. I cannot have the Cape of the Four Winds, Prestige Power Slide, or the Arachnos Cape and Chest Symbol.
But why not? Why isn't there an in-game item pack in the store that contains these items?
"Because the people who bought it when it WAS available will be angry" is not an adequate answer. An in-game item pack, by definition, does not include the fold-out maps, HeroClix figures, or any of the other items the Special Editions contained. I'm not asking for those. Heck, even charge the full $10 for the item pack - yeah, that's right, $10 for two capes, a chest emblem, and an alternative Sprint animation. Any oldbies who get angry that I spent $10 on that and got less for my money than they did would just be petty.
I mean, really, why SHOULDN'T I be able to buy them? -
Broadsword Tanker: Y. Absolutely Y. The reasoning has already been stated.
Katana Tanker: Y again. Samurai only get more awesome when they're built like a backhoe.
Axe Scrapper: Y. Vikings!
War Mace Scrapper: Y. To quote the Scout fro TF2, "BONK!"
And let's not leave villain ATs out of this -
Broadsword Brute: Again, we've been over this. Legacy Broadsword is even suitably enormous to make a character like Gutts.
Katana Brute: See reasoning behind Katana Tanker. Same character concept can also be a Brute.
Axe or Mace Stalker: We've been going over this for several posts by now. PLEASE give us this. -

Ah yeah, I forgot to mention the APP powers. Power Blast, Energy Torrent, and Conserve Power from Primal Forces are all in there, though Conserve Power might get traded for something else.
-
Hmm - Recall Friend definitely sounds like a decent idea. And picking up Maneuvers gives me a place to put a LotG, which I didn't think of before since I wasn't even looking at Leadership due to the buffs not affecting PA... and those two powers don't even need to be slotted, really. I think this problem may be solved, thanks!

...what should I use to replace Fitness on my Ill/Rad? I'm planning a build on Mids and have already given her everything from her primary except Group Invisibility, everything in her secondary except Fallout and Choking Cloud, Hasten, and everything from the flight pool except Group Fly. I'm left trying to figure out what to take at levels 30 and 35. Already tried the Fighting pool but Boxing didn't fit into her attack chain, and I don't want whatever I take to be quite that wasted a pick.
Any insights? -
Yeah, the attack ads have been CRAZY here in Colorado. Of course, I'm only registered in Massachusetts, and I don't know the issues, so I haven't bothered with my absentee ballot. No sense in flailing about pretending political activity when you really have no idea what you're doing... that's counterproductive.

Here, I'll volunteer some of mine!
Atomsmash, "radiation tank:"
The Hour Thief, a grav/kin troller - those are muttonchops, not a mask:
Zoombie, my favorite speedster:

Just use some weapon customization there and it fits in right along with the axes: Baseball bat, shovel, wrench, and giant bone are all great blunt objects to sneak up and whack people with.

The Coming Storm clearly has something to do with Bloody Bay. Okay, so nobody can be certain that Silos is telling the truth, but I'll take him at his word when he describes the Shivans from the meteor you have to destroy while Lazarus stands around twiddling his thumbs as the Storm's "scouts." Also, I believe the letter writer to be the Dream Doctor, since he wrote in "Why I Left and Why You Must Stay" that "Something is coming and [he] must find out what it is before it's too late." Sounds like a Coming Storm to me, and the presence of a Pillar in the Midnighter Club makes me even more inclined to believe there is a connection.

Quote:Scrappers with maces and axes? Why the hell not?You know... if Broad Sword and Katana ever get ported to Brutes and Tanks... two things must happen.
Scrappers and Stalkers must get to play with Axes and Maces.
And Axes will need to get looked at by the devs to bring it up to par, I think... 'cause Broad Sword and Katana will blow it away, as is, regardless of what they do to Parry.
And axe stalkers sound like they could result in some characters that are gloriously creepy. -

Quote:That would still mean a Science-origin hero could be Honorable before a Natural one could, which doesn't make any more sense than the way it is now.I've said before that it would be sensible to make it so that titles of your origin unlock at 25, the rest at 35.
I'm still scratching my head about Innocent being villain-only, btw.
