  1. Another question about badges - what about badges that are essentially the same, but have different names depending on which side you're on? Example: Temporal Fighter and Dark Victory. If you already have one, then switch sides, is the other one automatically awarded? Can you go back and get the badge again, but be awarded the other-side badge title? Is it locked out forever? Does your Temporal Fighter badge transform into a Dark Victory badge? How does it work?

I ask because I have a hero that would dearly love the badge title "Doc."

Really? How? I can't find an option to do that.
  3. I'm sure all you teleporters agree that as a travel power, Teleport is fiddly: even with binds, you either have to keep pressing a key over and over, or (if you've used the shift+leftclick bind) you don't get the targeting thingee, which is annoying. What I'd really like when porting across a big map is the option to have the teleport targeting circles pop up again as soon as I come out of a port. And if Teleport only could autofire, that's exactly what we'd be able to do.

So... why can't I put teleport on autofire? That would make teleporting to outdoor locations way, way easier, and I would absolutely love it. Set-autofire-click-click-click-click-there! I would still use the shift-leftclick bind for inside missions, and porting around in combat, but not having the target location visible outdoors is annoying.
  4. Yes. I've been playing it pretty much nonstop for the past few weeks, neglecting things I NEED to do, like look for a college and stuff.
  5. Cripes, I need to stop accidentally posting in the wrong thread...
  6. I've actually made that character. My first 50, Eldrix the Blackbird, now has a counterpart named Beata the Dove. For now Beata is a troller instead of a dom, though I may reroll her as a heroic dom once GR comes out.

Oh, now THAT is wicked cool!
  8. D'AAAAGH I just realized that I'm out of slots on both servers that I like to play! What am I gonna do when GR comes around? D:
  9. Okay, thanks. I didn't know this was a bug rather than an oversight, which was why I posted here.
  10. So I have a Thugs MM, and I'd intended to name all of my thugs "Criminal Scum." I expected it to just label them in my Pets window as "Criminal Scum 1," "Criminal Scum 2," etc, and it does - until I change zones, when all the thugs except the first one revert to "Punk."

So far I've been getting around this by writing a bind to rename all my pets with one keystroke every time I zone, but really, devs - shouldn't MMs be able to give their pets "generic" names?

    [Coalition] (Cabal) Initiate: Ewwwww.
[Coalition] Doc Delilah: He isn't banned yet?! How many times do I have to petition him before they get the hint?
[Coalition] (Knives of Artemis) Hand of Artemis: OMG does that creep EVER give up?
  12. That's a problem for any canon-based costume. The art of it is to replicate the costume recognizably and as well as possible using the parts we DO have.
  13. We're Gonna Start The Fire - Hellions

(That's parodying "We Didn't Start The Fire" if it wasn't obvious.)
  14. Nemesis's latest plot seems to be to creep me the hell out, since when I fly around Perigrine Island I frequently hear choruses of about ten of them shouting to detain me at the same time. This ONLY happens with Nemesis.

Also, once I took a scanner mission to defeat Operative Greench, and the door to it was the AE hologram column thingee. I had no idea the PPD were so concerned about video games...
  15. Re: Cross-server PVP - What happens then, when Razorvine the spines/regen Scrapper from Virtue* heads for Siren's Call at the same time as Razorvine the plant/thorns Dominator from Liberty*? Who keeps the name?

*I have no idea if the holder(s) of the name "Razorvine" on either of those servers are actually of those ATs. It's just an example.
  16. ...am I missing something here? Which villain does she look like?
  17. One nitpick about a couple recent posts: I love the character ideas, but let me just point out for a moment that this is a canon-based costumes thread, not canon-based characters. While Patty-Sue Ivanova and Quickchange both have neat canon-based histories, and I LOVE Patty-Sue's costume, they aren't recognizable visually as being tied to any NPC group. Neither is CELL until you read his bio, but that's forgivable because hey, I'd like to see anyone else do better making a DE character without Stone Armor.

Here's my latest, who I haven't actually been able to create yet, though I'm working on getting someone to 50 as fast as I can - imagine she has a real Peacebringer aura instead of just eye tendrils:

(Special thanks to DustRaven for the idea of a Void Hunter Peacebringer)

    Bio -
Corona's first human host is dead - killed in a fight with his current host, Emily Santo, who was also nearly killed. Severely weakened from being ripped from his host, Corona had but one option for survival: Inhabit the young Void Hunter while she was too weak to expel him, and use the last of his power to keep them both alive. However, both knew that more Void Hunters would soon come after Emily, and they would be attacked. There was only one escape: the moment his strength had built up enough, Corona changed his new host to Nova form and flew away. The experience was, for Emily, breathtaking. It went against everything that she had been taught, but she could not bear the thought of never feeling it again. They were Lumenvoid.

Lumenvoid kept the accoutrements of her old trade as a reminder of her human-self's past ignorance. She uses her Void Hunter skills now to hunt Nictus, and thinks herself an example of the redemptive power of forgiveness and mercy to those who could have been different.

  21. So yeah, the badge does make me roll my eyes a bit, but what's the problem with the group?

It never really says. This is the stanza that describes him:

    Quote:
When suddenly, up from a small basement flat,
Why who should stalk out but THE GREAT RUMPUSCAT.
His eyes were like fireballs fearfully blazing,
    He gave a great yawn, and his jaws were amazing;
And when he looked out through the bars of the area,
You never saw anything fiercer - or hairier.
And what with the glare of his eyes and his yawning,
The Pekes and the Pollicles quickly took warning.
He looked at the sky and he gave a great leap,
And they every last one of them scattered like sheep.
And when the Police Dog returned to his beat,
There wasn't a single one left in the street.

If I write out his bio to make reference to yet another Eliot cat (Fireforefiddle, the Fiend of the Fell) I could explain his powers as demonic semi-possession, which makes the Dark Armor idea make way more sense. I think I might end up doing that, since my existing Claws/DA brute is on a different server.

Not knowing the poem, but assuming the cat doesn't fly, teleport, or superspeed, you could use ninja run as your travel, and even still take combat jumping for the bonus. SR is fairly easy to softcap

During my brief time on champions I made my cat and had quite a good time playing the toon. Although if i did the same on coh id probably give it sj cause the lil thing can jump, sorry to ramble but its my first lil kitten.

I have a claws/regen, and I just respec'd, dropped one attack, and still have more than enough to always have something up, and thats with just reg IOs and a few SOs, haven't got sets rolling yet. You could easliy get a lot of recharge bonuses and get down to probably 3-4 attacks as all thats needed from the primary to have a solid chain.

I've always wanted to try the fear power from presense, especially on my dm/inv "vampire" concept, but couldn't get past having to give up the power selections to take it.

As to your last post, I find it essential to have a good concept to be able to play a toon, no matter how good it ends up being, if I can't get into playing it its just not as fun.
The poem actually describes him performing a "great leap," so Super Jumping was my pick for a travel pool to begin with. I'm not too worried about the attack chain, either - I'll probably just nix all the multiple-target attacks I otherwise would have taken, since it's so tough to get onto a big team on Triumph. Even so, I might skip travel, since Ninja Run has plenty of jumping involved in it. That's sounding like a good idea.

As for villains, I've made a nemesis for him as well - Macavity, another T. S. Eliot cat, who has an entire poem instead of just one stanza... anyway, so I'm kind of gathering that both of the tier-one powers in Presence are basically equally worthless?
