You'd have to use a whole bunch of desks. It wouldn't be perfectly smooth, but it'd work since it'd be big enough.
It'd be smooth widthwise, but heightwise, it'd be blocky, since we still don't have x axis rotation. -
Quote:Not really, it pretty much drops all aggro. It doesn't aggro them onto the person who threw them, it aggros them onto random people in the vicinity, because caltrops screws with AI badly.Actually, if a tank loses aggro to a 'trops patch, they probably aren't doing that great at holding aggro (or the 'trops are being thrown out too early), and I say this from both sides of the equation.
Unless you are taunting 24/7, caltrops are always gonna be a nightmare.
And even then, it still causes horrible amounts of scatter. -
I think she needs to eat a sandwich or something.
I'd make her titan weapons, with the Garage Brand one.
She can pull it out of her Mary Poppins-style picnic basket. -
It's not so much the scattering as it is aggro being completely dropped as soon as they're thrown out. All of a sudden the tank or brute or scrapper or whatever is seeing everyone around them die, through no fault of their own. And then they'll probably get blamed for not being able to hold aggro.

Quote:I see more drama and ego standing under Atlas for 5 minutes on Freedom than I have the entire time I've played on Exalted. What's the deal with Exalted???
Just from reading the forums one would think it is full of drama and egos....
Some friends and I were considering transferring toons there for a change of pace, but from what little activity is posted here on the forums... has me thinking otherwise.
Hmm.... maybe I will create an alt and see what's what before deciding. -
I'll go for number 1.
Yin's face in 2 makes her look like a total ***. -
-
Oh no, this guy is totally ruining my CoH forum experience!
Whatever will I do?
Here, let me whine about him making new threads in between applications of makeup. -
No, that's Penelope Yin. Just take a look at her face on the I23 login screen.
-
Sounds pretty awesome, I wouldn't mind seeing it.
I doubt it'll ever happen, though. -
Quote:I don't really care about this change one way or the other, but cmon, that's kinda dumb. Can't kill a single group of level 50 enemies while you're at work or sleeping, or watching a movie, or any number of other real life things that keep you away from your computer.
I'm against it because:
1) It's exploitable (laughable as that exploitation is)
2) Is getting 1 influence for your trouble REALLY going to be incentive for someone to stop and help a citizen that they'd normally speed right on past? If you want to help citizens by killing the level 1 Hellion harassing them, are you REALLY going to be so petty as to demand compensation for it?
I can just see Superman stopping a mugging and turning toward the victim: "Okay, he's gone. That'll be $5 please."
Standing at the respawning hellions for the time it takes to watch a movie would net you less than killing a single level 50 minion.
And leaving the computer on overnight to amass a grand total of MAYBE 5000 influence would be a waste of real-life money due to energy costs. -
Quote:WhatThis can be Exploited and people won't do any real content any more and just do Sweep cleaning all day.
No thx I will pass on this, we been fine since this game came out, no reason to change how things are set up now.
If you want Influence Hunt DA Mobs for your Incarnates or whatever mobs you may face at your lvl range.
You mean they'd spend 24 hours getting the same amount of inf as they would killing a single group of level 50 enemies?
Wait til the boys down at the malt shop hear about this, it's liable to break the market! -
Quote:No, I'm not "trying to sound cool". If I wanted to try to sound cool, I probably wouldn't be on a game about dudes in spandex. No, never going to buy one. Indeed, it's easy enough to level.
That said, I hope (for the sake of people who said that) the whole "I turn off XP" or "it should be made harder" is hogwash to look cool on the forums, because I can't possibly understand this reasoning.
If I play 40 hours and end up with 2 level 50 characters, I have experienced just as much content as if I would have played 40 hours and ended up with 1 level 50 character doing the exact same tasks rewarding me for half of the exp, and I also got to enjoy greater diversity in my own characters - which in turn gives each encounter a bit more variety.
About the only argument I could see is if you want to read the stories and are worried about outleveling them, but I don't think you can claim to love the game, period (and insinuate people who don't play like you don't by doing so), if you only enjoy a small part of it. And, if you don't think stories are a small part of CoH, I feel sorry for the time you spent playing a game where 90% of the time is spent punching dudes.
I'm talking about how debt is such a joke now, it's not even worth trying to be careful on teams. I'm not saying I want to go back to the days where debt was half a level and if you died twice you deleted the character and rerolled it, I'm saying it just needs to be at a level where players will at least make an attempt to play smart. The way it is now, they might as well just remove it from the game. Half the time, it's actually gone before my character finishes having their heart attack. Which...seriously shouldn't be the case.
The only thing you "have to be careful" with is the incarnate trials now, and only because of the time limits. And even then, debt doesn't matter at that level, so it wouldn't make a big deal then anyway.
I feel absolutely no thrill by risking myself during missions, because there's seriously no risk other than having people lol at you for running ahead and dying like a monster headed brute. Risk should equal reward, and baby, there's nothin but rewards.
Long story short, it's like playing with cheat codes on. Fun for a while, but gets boring pretty fast. -
Not a single one.
This game's way too easy to level in to warrant spending money on. If anything, they need to make it harder to level. -
The global unlocks are probably the best things on the market. Cheap as hell, too.

I'm afraid the need for hairstyles that don't look stupid edged out the need for patron pools for me.

Yeah, mace on scrappers is pretty retarded. Crowd Control alone is bat**** insane. Goodness me I just wonder what would happen if they gave it to stalkers now that stalkers are good!
Don't say "dur bane spider". It's not even close. -

Quote:Because no other Alphas are being penalized like this.Spiritual is reducing the proc chance, but it's increasing the number of times you can use the attack, raising both the damage from the attack, and the number of rolls being made. It is very possible that slotting Spiritual will increase your DPS, even with the reduced proc chance. If it DOES reduce your DPS, then slot a different Alpha instead.
There are already numerous things I can do to my build that improve performance one way while decreasing it another. Why is it so horrible that they add somewhere else that you need to make a choice?
If Musculature lowered the damage from the proc, or nerve gave it a lowered proc chance cap, would that be OK as well? -
-
Quote:Why would you choose to make spiritual/agility alpha affect the proc chances? This was the feedback that I received repeatedly from you all during this thread. Which is why we've decided to only use recharge on a power from enhancement sources and alpha slots. Global recharge will not reduce proc chance. Take a look at previous posts for all the details
EDIT: Curses! Scooped by Sanguine Sentinel!
You're not making Musculature affect the proc damage, so why would recharge alphas get punished? -
Quote:You *******.I don't like high prices either but I guarantee you that if they weren't getting money from people the prices would drop.
(sheepishly raises hand)
I am one of the guilty. I have a decent job and this is so little compared to what I spend on wine, women and song that I just buy whatever I think I might need or even want.
Feel free to blame me and others like me. We probably deserve it!
It is because of people like you that I, like many others, get nothing but The Tower from their Mystic Fortune rolls.
It is because of people like you that I, like many others, find themselves turned into a monkey in the middle of a mob of angry Mu.
It is because of people like you that children like little Timmy will never know what happened to that hero he looked up to.
It is because of you that every time a blaster uses Nova, a star somewhere up in that cold night sky is snuffed out prematurely.
It is because of you that the Synapse Task Force has yet to be reworked.
Know that every time a citizen in Atlas has her purse snatched as hero after hero ignores her pleas for help, it is because of you and your need for enhancement trays.
I hope god forgives you. Because I, like many others, cannot.
