You can buy costume codes? If so, how does that take place?

I'm not sure about what Fulmens said about 50 hours of play to make money.
I took my wife and ran the AE arc i was talking about. (339055) It's a replica of the BM farm. Took all of 30 minutes for 2 runs at -1x8. She rolled 2 Steadfast Uniques (20 mil apiece crafted), a Regenative Tissue Unique or Proc (can't remember which that one is). 0 selling and ave sell price is 50 mil, 2 Achilles Heel recipes (5 and 20 mil respectively) I got an Impervium Armor Resistance (70-80mil crafted).
So in 30 minutes or so, we made out with close to 200 mil inf in less than 1 hour. Don't know why someone would say it takes 50 hours to make inf farming. Flipping is not the only way to make inf, i promise you. The key is to enjoy making it however, whether you like playing your toons and killing things or shopping and flipping.
I got your PM, but as soon as i clicked to send yesterday, it said the forums were down, so i just put the number in this post. Have fun. -
Sell the merits to someone for x amount of rolls. Or offer to get me a couple 7.5%'s at a reasonable price.
I'm also on Justice.

Kitteh, that's what i did after reading this post. I mainly farm my fire/kin because i tend to solo 80% of time. But after reading this post, i took my Kat/Regen and did the Freakalympics. It was amazingly easy as i think i only had to tap reconstruction once during the whole thing. Took me 1.5 hours but it shouldn't the next time as i know what i gotta do on the mishes next time. Gave like 34 merits.
I think this is gonna be my new fave past time, when not on the BM map. lol. May make a fire/fire scrapper and see which Oro mishes i could blaze thru with more AoE than my Kat.
Any other good ones blueside to try? Mainly for speed, not xp. -
I looked for "the nictus" arc but i didn't see it. which level is it under?
-
I'll buy 10 random rolls from you for 150mil! (justice server only tho) lol.
-
I am going elec but as a 2ndary. I tried elec primary at lower levels and the powers rech seemed slower than i liked. So, i switched it to fire/elec. I'm pleased with fire (awesome damage) but at 25 i feel really squishy with my defense. Atm, i have my toggles, 3 resist and 1 end. And my autos at 3 resists. Level 25 commons slotted, not SO's. I'm hoping it'll get better once i can drain their endurance. If not, trash it goes.

WE did Synapse today and i had 6 rolls (3 toons) and i rolled a 7.5 LotG level 30 and a Numina trip level 30. The other rolls weren't great but not shabby either. The 2 above were by far the best though. I tend to roll 35-39 because when i was "meowing" i got great rolls back then so i tend to hang in that level. lol.

My cousin and i duo'd Positron last night. Took us 4 hours on 2 scrappers. (dont know if thats decent time or not) He's level 31 and i was 25.
At the end i got 3 rolls. I got a level 25 Miracle: Recov, a 25 Basilik Gaze: Chance for..., and a level 25 Eradication: Chance for...
My other account was a filler and logged back in at last mish. Her rolls wasn't as good although she did get an Eradicaion: Quad.
I think i want some more merit rolls if my luck maintains. lol. -
What Iron said. Craft asap, whether you keep or sell. I thought i sold one by accident yesterday as i was selling the commons that had dropped, then remembered it was in a bin. Slight heart attack. lol.

Another Fan... I agree to disagree with you a little.
This is just me, but my whole reason to even farm is for Purples. With that said, i don't care if my other drops are 49's because that's not what i'm after. To be honest, i hardly get anything else worth anything anyway. I can count on 1 hand how many respecs, luck of the gambler (of any variety), aegis, numina's, and several others that i have ever gotten in PI farming. And i do it ALOT. So, i just do it at 49 for the speed.
With that said, AE is still a good idea to farm also. Normal farms give you 100% of the rewards. Last night i done 3 runs and had 4500 tickets. I did a gold roll (pacing of the turtle:chance for rech slow. crafted selling for 12-15mil), did 2 silver rolls (got 2 LotG def recipes. crafted selling around 10-20mil each) and a few bronze rolls but got nada this time. The other day i did all bronze rolls and got a couple steadfast -kb and a few steadfast uniques. The uniques sold crafted for 30mil each.
So, when it comes to making inf, there are MANY different ways and none wrong. It all depends on what you like doing. I personally enjoy farming. It actually lets me play my 50 for more than just sitting in Atlas with other 50's. (who are prolly waiting on their flips to sell. lol) -
My billions came from just farming and selling the drops. I sell everything. If it's the purps i want for my toon, i keep it. If i can't use it, i sell it to someone who can and save the inf from that sale. I don't take time to find a recipe in WW and craft for my inf. Most people will tell you to flip, but it's not needed unless you like that part of the game. I personally dont.
Once you get a fire/kin built to handle mobs of 8, you'll be rich in no time. No need to bump the level up any. The faster you kill the mobs the more chances you have at purple drops. I run mine at level 49's. In my exp, the BM and Demon farms give me the most purple drops. I average a purp drop a day, but i also play 3 hours a day and up to 8 on the weekends.
Or you can still farm in AE. Normal farms (not boss farms) still give good ticket drops and you can hit 1500 per run. 2 runs = a gold roll at level 10 (3000 tix). Or you can choose level 10 bronze rolls (at 60 per roll) and make millions like that as i have this weekend. PM me if you want the AE number. -
I went the way of /dark also, but man, 8 toggles is crazy...lol. I love the concept but scrapped him in the 30's due to end issues.
People say the game is still based around SO's, but this build in particular (spines/dark) i have a hard time seeing without the 3 endurance procs. I had 2 common end. red.'s in each toggle and 1 or 2 in my attack chain and still ran out of end by the time i hit spine burst and a couple attacks.
I just stayed away from spines because the 2ndaries i wanted didn't seem to work. (for me)
Back to the spines/fire, i was farming demons with mine for the fire resist cap. It did ok, but he shined with a fire troller or any other immobilizers. They wanted to scatter from me. He did ok at -1's but anything my level x8 was ugly. -
Just a question. Why farm +1's? Just for the little xtra inf? You don't have better luck with purps and it takes longer which = less runs. IMO, that is.
On a side note, i have a 50 spines/fire built for rech/def and about 4-500mil in him and was very disappointed. Currently, i'm trying to do some respecs on him to put the recipes on a diff build. Possible a Fire/Elec scrapper or Katana/Inv. -
I don't think Holiday events are to be "more fun" than the regular stuff. It is just something "extra and creative" for the players to do. Sorry if i didn't rply about all the other stuff.

I agree to a point Sun. Although you may be able join "pals" but a level 5 may be SSK to a level BELOW the team and/or mobs, i've yet to see a level 5 toon be "helpful" to a 30+ team. If you wanna call it PL then call it PL or "hanging out" but it's hardly a "help" to spam brawl at foes.
Now, take the same toon at level 20-30 and put on a 50 team, you see a different result as far as "effective" help. Why? You actually have powers to use to aid the fight. Just my thoughts. -
BL, i dont know how fast you gain rolls or drops, but in my exp if i just place the item really low, it sell immediately. I usually just place everything at 222 and if i get 5-10 mil instead of 15, i dont care. I drop it off and go to make more. The only thing i really try to make inf on is high inf stuff like purps (if i sell them) or procs. I've made a ton and IO'd both of our toons just by sellin fast and accumulating the inf. I don't even use WW to drop salvage any more, i just delete or sell at the store. But, that's just me.
-
Fulmens, that's exactly why i started my own SG. I only have my, my wifes, and my cousins toons in it so i can leave everything unlocked. I have 9 salvage bins and 7-8 recipe bins.
I farm AE still. I have a normal BM farm with bosses, lt.s and minions so the rewards are 100%. I hit the 1500 tix cap on each run. I run 3 toons on it. One toon gets a gold roll, 1 toon gets silver rolls and the other gets bronze rolls. I sell the crap rolls and craft and keep in a storage bin the rest. Occasionally i sell, but not too often as i play and IO mine and my wifes toon.
I also farm PI. I craft and keep alot of purples that drop. (1 in about 4-5 runs)
By doing this i just IO'd an Arch/MM blaster last week. I have 3 LotG 7.5% rech, a miracle, perf. shifter proc, numina proc, 4 sets of purps, a couple posi's, and decimations. Hasten is 5 seconds from perma. How much did i actually spend on this build? Less than 20 mil. as i had the majority in bins for when i hit 50 on her.
Even if you are in a SG, like i was, it would still benefit you to create your own SG on an alt just to store "goodies". -
I agree with Brophog. SSK is cool as long as it's within a few levels. When you take a level 5-10 and try to "help" a 35-50 team, well, there's really no "help" at all. I know from personal experience as i pl toons, they like to follow along my Fire/Kin and talk about how their 3 points of damage is really helping. (they're joking of course) If people wanna be "effective" they need to actually learn the game and how it works before thinking a really low level can enjoy playing and actually helping a higher team.
Why would a level 5 even wanna go to a 38 zone anyway? There's a reason that level 38's aren't in Atlas where level 5's are. -
Personally, i hate /fire on a scrapper. I felt way to squishy with a few hundred mil in my spines/fire. Atm, i'm doin respecs and getting my sets off of him to delete him. (50 btw)
Spines is a really fun scrapper, but it feels alot weaker than my Kat and my wifes Fire scrappers. Although the post talking about a spines/elec sounds terribly fun.
To the OP, if i were to start a new scrapper, i'd probably want to try a Fire/Electric or Katana/Inv. I have a 50 Katana and he does AWESOME damage. -
Well, my only 50 tank is a Stone/Ice. He was/is a great team tank. Atm, i'm working on an Inv/SS tank.
He seems very fun. He's 26 as we speek and has yet to die. I often get SSK up to my wifes 50 to team and we took down 2 AV's the other day with ease. I was able to hold agro and damage for her.
As far as Electric tank. I run with a good friend on CoH and he has one. He's in his 40's and when teaming with him, all he ever says is, "Man, i LOVE this tank." lol. I think a tank that can drain opponents endurance is as good as a good taunt on a tank. When you have BOTH, man. -
I'm working on the same build, atm. Currently i'm level 43 with all Common IO's except for 3 lotg 7.5% rech.
RoA is up every mob(within a few secs) now with hasten and so is PSW. The problem i'm having is when i jump in the mob with PSW, they scatter as if a meteor is coming. lol. (i'm farming a BM map in AE set to 0 x8) Normal farm so rewards are 100% and i'm able to ticket cap in 1 run which is nice. But back to the topic.
How do i keep them from running away? I have Flash Freeze for a purp set at 50. Should i hit it before RoA or after PSW? I know the best way is to kill them all, but even with 3 damage per both powers, it still leaves a few runners. I plan to fully IO and mostly purple the build. Will the xtra damage %'s clean up the few left? Thanks for any replies. -
I have a diff kind of question about DP.
I have a new AR/MM and i'll trying to figure out if i need DP and if i do, when do i hit it? Fighting even cons, after i hit RoA and PSW noone is alive except a boss. I am planning on using it as a farm build and not getting into melee to fight with a blaster. lol. -
Yea, the title is a little off. I remember the good ol 30mil days.
-
So, i can't get 2 purps to drop on the same farm, on diff toons? I see what you're saying but if 2 can drop on the same farm, on diff toons i think it'd be worth having seeing as that i've never gotten 2 purps to drop while solo'ing.
