I think I collected over a billion last Saturday when I checked on all of my toons, but I doubt I'm going to make anything like that much this week.

On the positive side, on Saturday I moved an old level 27 scrapper from Pinnacle to Justice (seeing as Justice is the 3rd largest server and I don't play on Pinnacle anymore, I thought it'd be nice to have a mid to high level toon on Justice). This was a VERY old character, last played probably before I-5, so I had 162,000 influence to my name (and no one on Justice to borrow money from). But by Tuesday night I'd broken 100 million. ^_^

DM/Invul, so I worked up a build that softcaps smashing/lethal, and now I need to raise somewhere between 600 million and a billion to make it happen.

(Yeah, I could do a market transfer but it's fun to try to work up the money from scratch.)

Well, if u like to farm, hit me up and i can level ya if ya like.
  2. Make sure youre not at the cap when u collect inf from a sell... lol.

I agree with that statement. I wasn't trying +3x8 on commons. I had it at 0x5 i think, when i was solo. Maybe i should've had it at -1. I'm not sure.
  4. 40 bill don't sound like alot, really. At current prices.

If i only played 1 toon, and had all the IO's that i have on my alts, i'd easily have 40 bil at current prices. I have several toons purp'd out on my account, many more fully IO'd with stuff like Oblits, Procs, Numinas, Kin Coms, ect. My wifes account has a couple purp'd toons and a few more fully IO'd as well.

If i were to take all that, put it on 1 toon, i'm sure i'd have aloooooot of inf. But i like to fully IO each toon across 2 accounts. The 3rd account, i haven't started on yet. lol.

And thats without leaving toons at WW to flip or whatever. Just from selling my drops.
  5. I don't really care much but i'm an odd ball. I'm not trying to reach 100bil. I get recipes so fast, i rarely even craft them unless i place it in a bin to keep. I list EVERYTHING for 222 except purples. If it's a purple, then i list it a few million under the last 5. Other than purples, it goes for 222 and usually i'll hit in the millions, 10's of millions and even 100's of millions. I can make a billion a week listing for 222, just selling my recipes. It really depends on how many recipes you can acquire.

When i farm AE, i do 2 runs, that's 9000 tickets (3k per toon, i have 3). 1 toon does a gold with his 3k, 1 does silvers with his and 1 does bronze with his. Like i said, thats too many to craft so i offload for 222. lol. ToD, Miracle, LotG, Impervs, and the procs sell good crafted or uncrafted so i'm not picky.

But, like i said. I'm an odd one.
  6. I'm not sure of your playstyle, but here's my opinions.

Troller- Fire/kin, Plant/Kin and i even seen a nice farming Plant/ Storm. (shocked me. lol)

Tank- Fire/Fire seems to run the demon farm nice. (my cousin has one)

Blaster- I've seen and i have an Arch/MM. Does ok after the alpha strike. (bm farm here)

Scrapper- Again Fire/Fire I've seen a couple nice ones on the demon farm.
Elec/SD i have one of these. Does great on the BM, Freak and Council farm.
Spines/FA or Spines/DA(i cant get this one to work tho. good luck) Works good on demons, not sure what else.

Some builds will cost more depending on what you choose to farm, and if you need high defenses against certain mobs. I'm melee capped on my def and BM seems to be very easy. IMO, i'd go Fire or Plant/Kin to get started. But again, that's me.

The only problem I can see with the OP is that he doesn't want to realize that it's alright for a set to operate using a different operational limiter than he is used to. DA wasn't designed to be like every other set and it doesn't need to be redesigned to make it fit some arbitrary form that the OP believes that all defense sets should fit within.

Dude, really? I didn't say it should work like all the rest. I'm not used to playing 1 type of toon. What i was asking is why every power in /DA is a toggle and has no auto powers or a way to replenish it's endurance cost if you decide to take all the powers in the set?? Instead, you want to presume you know me or what i know or play and call me names and disregard any situation that myself and clouded presented. Other than saying " i don't have a problem with it".. blah blah...

Answer this, please. If all the other scrapper sets work different and have a different limiter, then why do most of the other scrapper defenses have either a 2nd stamina or a power to replenish the end usage? Inv and SR have more auto powers than toggles, so it doesn't matter much. /SD only has 3 i think whic are easily managable.

I'm glad that you know everyone in the game to think the "only people that know numbers says /DA is fine" Really, you think that? lol. I'll try to do some broadcasts and ask around on each server what people think of /DA and take screenies and see if that confirms what you think.

And by all means, please iggy me and be done here like Jay tells you to so that the next time i leave a post, i'll get reasonable answers or at least people that can stay on topic without name calling and leaving prejudice comments.
  8. You're gonna get all kinds of answers here. I'll go ahead and give you an idea of what i did.

I made a Fire/Kin controller. Sux out of the box but after 32 it gets better. After 38 it gets real easy. It's a fairly cheap build to get started because it has a damage boost and an endurance refiller.

Once you get him to 50, inf will start pouring in if you decide to farm. Personally, i farm in PI for the purple drops. (do some radios and open up maria jenkins or harvey maylor as a contact, they give good farm maps so does Unai) I also farm a mish in AE for recipe rolls.

If you don't like to farm, you can always make inf by using WW. It's not hard and you don't need a guide. Just browse expensive crafted recipes and then look to see the selling price for the uncrafted version of the recipe. You can make inf by that way if you don't like farming.
  9. Thank you, Never. That was my problem. I was running all the toggles that i had. I was running the defense toggles thinking i needed some defense on the toon and was running the damage auras to try to kill them.

As far as the other comments. You guys are the ones that started acting like 12 year olds with name calling, and trying to belittle the people that had issues with /DA and didn't agree with you saying "its just you" without proving that /DA uses the same or less endurance than other sets (which still hasnt been done without saying "DONT RUN ALL THE TOGGLES THE SET GIVES YOU"). Please go back and reread the whole thread if need be and see who started taking the thread offtopic. I won't be expecting an apology though. So, please feel free to keep calling me "idjit" or idiot or whatever your little mind can think of. When you grow up, please come back.
  10. I retract my previous statement. I'm using my new scrapper. Elec/SD. Today i solo'd +4x8's with no bosses. Fast to kill, no deaths. Max inf per run (unless you add bosses, you'll get more) and still get good/great drops up to and including purples. I think i like using this toon more than the fire/kin.
  11. I can easily make over bil a week farming and selling drops. Even the wifey made 900m last week farming and selling her drops. I haven't kept track of it to the penny, but i''m at the cap on a couple toons and just spent a couple bil on my scrapper. I don't mess with or use pvp io's. Im not THAT big time. lol.

Congratulations, you can press 1, aim and click the mouse, then press two and aim and click the mouse. I bet you even know that you should start the sequence from the middle of the spawn--rather than tele-attacking into it--to get the max bonus from AAO.

And your girlfriend ... from Canada.

Maybe this will help you understand:

OMG why does invul, more like vulnerability, lol, get three craptastic passives. 7.5% res vs. NRG and NEG and THATS ALL? WTF. that stops like 1/9 incoming dmg on ONLY TWO dmg types, IF I SLOT IT 2 the MAX. what the suck. and Resist Elements practically the same, only w Tox bfd. and 3.75 def? that stop about 1/8 incoming dmg IF SLOTTED UP. this set sux. it dont cost me no end but it barely increase my survivability. and don't get me started on that long recharge heal. wtf? the dark scrap next to me healz TO FULL every 20 secs and I got to wait 3 minutes for a half heal. LULZ. sry, DELETE /vuln, bye.

Like i said, you DON'T KNOW ME. It IS boring for me from 1-30. I'd rather farm my 3 accounts ALL DAY than to run with PuGs and be on teams with people like some that post on here. Let me guess, you play on the FREEDUMB server? Figures..

I start from wherever i wish to with the mobs and the end result is the same, THEY DIE. Can you solo at +3 or 4x8 with your /DA toon?

GF from Canada? First off, i'm not prejudice and would date a female from anywhere if i weren't married. Try not to judge people, less you be judged.

And as far as INV. I have one at 34 and i have no problems with him. If you do, you should learn to slot it and play it better. If i did, i guess i could put a bill into him and make him as awesome as /DA or any other AT because i have the funds to do it.
  13. Whatever. Why would someone spam DR? That dont even make sense given the fact it costs so much end anyway.
  14. I wait til im 50 because the market is usually empty at anything lower. I just stopped a toon at 35 for AE tickets.
  15. Rep, please join in on the fun. You don't know me, so don't think because i pl my toons to 22 makes me anything less of a quality player. I get bored and hate lower level content. After 5 years, the sewers and hollows get boring.

On a side note, i was just running a BM farm on an IO'd toon of mine just now. A scrapper. The settings were +3x8 and not only could i stand in the middle of the mobs, i could 2 shot the whole dang mob just about. Now, does that make me a player that don't know diddly cause i pl'd him to 50? Or an uber player with awesome skills for taking on +3x8 mobs? I gotta hear this. Khrome Dome on Justice. Ask around about him.

I think i was running at 0 or -1 x4 on the /DA toon. I really can't remember. Some of the time i teamed with friends, some i tried to solo farm him at around his level. My IO'd toons easily play at +1x8.

Leo, not one time have i changed my stance. I am/ have been talking about the end. But that's my issue in your last post. Why give us a set with soo many toggles that you can't take them? You just said that you'll be drained of your end by running them. I know each set has their strengths. My only quarrel before you guys started name calling and acting like 12 year olds is that the set has too many toggles to even pick the powers from the set. I don't even mind the heal because it gives us all our health back.
  16. /SR only has 3 toggles. Rest are auto, which costs 0, zero, no endurance. So, running "all it's powers" really isnt alot since only 3 of them cost endurance.
/DA has 7, that DO cost endurance, like i said originally.

I'm not talking about and don't care about mitigation, resistance and stuff. This post was about the end, not resist. What you want the toon to do, just stand there hoping it don't get hit because if it attacks, it'll have no endurance to run the "mitigation" toggles? At some point, you have to attack the bad guys.

Is this the way to run a /DA toon? Run in with all toggles, "mitigate", turn off toggles, attack, turn on toggles to "mitigate", turn off toggles, attack. Because in my exp. with /DA, if i'm running the toggles AND attack, i run completely out of end. And that's with the build set to try to conserver endurance.

I don't understand the comment on "use it when needed". If i'm in the middle of a mob or mobs, IT'S NEEDED. Just like the def toggles, if i'm not in battle, i don't turn them on.

The other sets don't have end management. They have end REFILLER. End management is something you have to do with /DA to be able to play it.
  17. How you figure? He gave a couple examples that don't even figure in all the toggles that /DA has.

As for anything else you said, there's no point responding. Because you don't give a crap. As long as you have your argument on paper. No amount of numbers or build posts will persuade you (and honestly, why the hell does anyone even *need* to persuade you? just go play something else!)
They don't use the same amount of endurance either. Every power in INV is an AUTO/ NO ENDURANCE USED power. (cept 3 toggles) Um, /SD only has 3 toggles, too. Um, /STONE don't need any toggles after 32. That's why. If you look at what we have actually PROVED with the charts on the powers given per set.

I don't give a crap because all you can say is "its ok". But you can't prove it. All you can do is be a ***** to anyone that wants you to back up your statements, which you can't/haven't.

Now, off to play something else.
  19. It's funny to see numbers posted for end./sec... Now, please take into consideration that the other sets have a means to replenish their enurance usage. (without popping a blue)That's a major point here. You can't say it wouldn't benefit from it.

Yes, the heal uses alot of endurance but has the ability to miss. As EVERY power does. What Clouded is trying to say, i think, is that HF CAN'T miss. Even slotted "correctly" as you guys say, it STILL has the ability to miss. How often? Who knows? Who cares? But if you need it, you don't want to take the chance on it missing. Or at least, i wouldn't.

The point of this whole thread was to ask why /DA has so many toggles (selected AND used) compared to other scrapper secondaries with no way to replenish. Not who likes it. I don't care who likes it, i want to see numbers. Instead, there's alot of bickering and finger pointing. Name calling. Who can't do this and who can't do that. I've yet to see a build posted (using SO's, since people love to say the game is based on them still) that would show playability while conserving endurance while attacking. And by selecting the powers, and not just picking 3-4 powers from a set.

Anyone can say "you slotted wrong", but please prove it. 2 end red per toggle (no auto powers to choose) and 1-2 end red ( when some attacks are 15 end usage per attack i use 2), 1 acc, and 1 damage or rech per attack. At 30, you've only got so many slots per powers.

Now, i'd love to let you team with a fully IO'd toon of mine and/or a toon with commons and let you SEE how they perform if you doubt my ability to slot. I'll even move one of my 50's to YOUR server so i can see a /DA toon perform. I'd love to, actually. I still have my plant/storm on commons and have no issues with end i could show (running snow storm and hurricane)

Yes, Clouded they always come for me. I don't care who i call out on here for their posts. If i see something i disagree with, i call it out. I don't pay attention to non facts. All the posts about "it's you, not the set", is horse crap. Prove it is what i say. I've been on this game since 04, play 2-3 hours per weekday and up to 10 on sat and sun. I DO know how to play toons, i DO know how to build them. That's why i can call BS on those claims. I don't know everything, but i know more than " it's me not the set" claim. Flame on, i got my haterproof shirt on.
  20. I use level 25 commons asap then start on sets at 32. (with 35's)

The problem is, imo, that lower level stuff is kinda hard to get the pieces for. I had to stop a toon at 35 and run AE farms in order to get recipes at that level. Then as i hit 50, just swap the 35's for the same pieces with higher %'s.
  21. eryq2

    IO Sets

I didn't know the Fleeting. Good stuff. (about the purples)
  22. eryq2

    IO Sets

And purples work different too. You can only have a set of recipes per power type. For example, you can't have 5 sets of Hecatomb on 5 diff melee powers.

Like Fulmens said, most of the recipes are crap. Most are better to be frankenslotted to get more %'s per power until you can afford the better sets.
  23. Sharker, do you know what the word means? He said its a cheap toggle set, then said he ran with rads and kins and slotted for end issues, like i did. Now, go look up the word contradiction. How is that misunderstood? How should it have been said then?

Either way, i'm done here. It's been real, and it's been fun but it hasn't been real fun. Maintaining end shouldn't be a side game like Um says /DA is.

Secondly, you're once again completely misreading everything that everyone is saying. We're not saying that it's easy on the blue bar. That's actually completely against the design of the set. It's not a "cheap toggle set". It's DA, as set specifically designed to around your endurance being the primary limiter to performance rather than time. You don't get to apply the same tactics and assumptions you've learned from using other sets to DA because it's not the same. You might as well complain that */Regen pisses you off because you have to click more than one thing to survive because every other set out there only has a single important click power for survival.

Not every set is the same, and, this might seem strange to you, that's a good thing. DA is incredibly powerful if you know how to use it, and by "know how to use it" I mean "know how to manage your endurance such that you're capable of lasting longer than 1 Dark Regen without reaching for endurance help". If you're having problems with managing your endurance with DA, the problem is not with the set. It's with you not liking a set that uses a difference performance limiter than you are used to, and you not being able to deal with a set that forces you to actually manage your endurance in order to achieve the awesome levels of performance the set is capable of.

I'm an idiot because you ignorant people don't read before you post? Like, i said in an earlier post, I LIKE THE SET. DID YOU MISS THAT, TOO? I'm use to playing EVERY set, in case you wanna know. I have 50's in each AT, so i'm not use to 1 performance limiter.

It's not misreading when someone says the set is fine as is, BUT I PLAY WITH RADS AND KINS. Hmm, i wonder why? Prolly to manage the endurance problem. Or "just pop blues". PLEASE, tell me how either statement is misread... Go ahead, i'll wait.

Regen may have alot of clickies but i can click every one of them 1000 times and not run out of endurance. Trust me, i have a kat/regen at 50. Was my first 5 years ago.

Like i said, post some numbers or builds to back it up, please. If not, then shut up about it. Or, we can just play the name calling forum war like the other 12 year olds.

Please, take me on a mish or yours set to 0 or +1 x8 ( because that's what i run my toons at) and let me see the "ultimate warrior" with no end issues w/o bonuses. Please, i'll pay you 100mil to see it on Justice.
