I think there's prolly a ton of ideas out there but if you're just wanting fire power, why not go blaster? Most people say blasters put out more dps anyways. A couple ideas i have are below.
Fire, of course has awesome damage. Build for rech for Inferno, RoF and Fireball.
Archery, Rain of Arrows is nice damage and alot faster rech and no crash. Every 16 seconds is nice.
Maybe a Fire/Fire scrapper for damage. It prolly puts out more dps than BS/SD and less resisted.
Could also go with another troller set like Fire/Rad or Fire/Sonic for extra damage and debuffs.
Im not sure of the damage of Illusion but would a 2nd Ill troller put out enough? 2 perma PA's, 2 main pets and 2 of their hencemen.. that's like 10 pets. Maybe throw in a /kin on the 2nd one for addition speed, FS, end and heals. Sounds yummmy to me. -

Undecided on fm/sd/blaze or elec/shield/blaze, on the latter I have a build that gets 3 secs off permahasten without going crazy (purple, pvp ios, etc) while maintaining melee and ranged caps. The fm/shield manages 8 secs from permahasten but has a very decent ST attack chain for bosses.
As far as farms and levels, i get more purps just running 0x8 but if you want the most inf AND drops then u can go higher, but its not needed. Especially since 47's drops purps.. -

2- Nobody claimed to get 2 purples from a single group of three freaks, nor 4 pieces of rare salvage over 10 hours while teamed, so it's not even reasonable to infer that someone implied that the drop rates were the same.

People don't need either. They can want as much as they want, but they certainly don't need. I've been around since issue four or so, and I'm still playing characters up at their own regular pace. -
PEOPLE DON'T NEED EXPLOITS.
Find me, or any other good farmer that can run +3 or +4 x8 content in the game. Offer them a fair amount of inf. to PL you.
I've been given up to 1 bil inf to take someone to 50. Sound like alot? Well, think about how many AE ticket rolls you'll get in 50 levels or how many purple chances you'd get in PI.
Although i thought that was kinda high, the guy said he didnt care cause he bought inf all the time. Personally, id never do that, but if he chooses to then that's on him.
But running at +3 or 4 x8 can get you to mid 30's in a few runs. I'm on Justice. Hit me up if you want to get PL'd. I don't need exploits. I just fly through mobs like a champ. -
Well, i play trollers alot.
You can always go Fire/Kin. Slow til 32 then everything starts to die fast.
My faves are:
1) Fire/Storm. Nothing like Gale>Hurricane>Imps>Corner>Freezing Rain>Gale>Gale>Dead. lol.
2) Ice/Rad. It's awesome on a team. Arctic Air+Chocking Cloud locks mobs down. Not to mention ICE PATCH and Shiver.
But i don't find any of them fun to solo unless i have more than one pet. Fire/ and Illusion to me are the best to solo cause you can kill much faster and not just "controlling" the fights. But that's me. -
I have a fire/kin. I tried something different and put every pbaoe proc in Hot Feet. It didn't do anything special so i resped out of it and just went back to Oblits. I may not need the xtra damage due to FS, but i like the xtra melee defense since im in the middle of mobs anyways.

I was running some missions on my 'casual' stalker today and picked up two hunks of Rare salvage from a spawn of 3 Freakshow.

Why someone would pay those amounts instead of running a 45 min repsec TF baffles my mind?? 200mil vs. FREE... FREE wins everytime.

I thought the same thing over 2xp this past time. I got 9 purples over the weekend. I run the same map to farm and have never gotten more than 2-3 in a weekend. But i'm not complaining.

Someone that can make 5bil a week shouldn't be asking anyone for inf, imo. Sounds like a scam for 10 bil if you ask me.

Something needs to be done. Especially if it's a high priced item. To leave 5, 50-100mil inf bids in "hopes" that someone gets one to sell across several diff pieces gets expensive.
Best bet imo, just farm AE tickets. I've gotten several sets of Kin Com, Oblits, Numinas, ToD for free just by farming AE. Not all farms are xploits either. Find a good farm, or make one and get yer stuph for free, like me. Bump WW. -
I had cinders until i got the recharge high enough to have FF up for each mob and with tough, weave and frozen armor (or fire shield on my wifes) i can easily solo +4's and +2-3 with bosses.
If you don't have the recharge for FF to be up for each mob, then i'd take Cinders on the off mobs. -
I agree with a post above about going melee def and s&l defense. I went /fire so im in melee all the time. I went with Cold Epic and the Frozen Armor gives very good melee and s&l defense. I think i'm sitting at 33% s&l and like 26% melee atm.
My attack chain is Rain (with chem for slight debuff)> Flashfreeze> B.U.> HoB> FSC> and then Combustion or Rain to clean them up. -
My Dp/Fire is level 45 atm and i run a farm set to 0x6. I'll prolly bump it to 0x8 and try it because i'm not dieing atm. I need to see whats the most i can handle. I don't wanna go up +1 or 2 because i know i'd faceplant. Id rather just kill bigger mobs. lol

I think my DP is overpowered. I went DP/Fire/Cold. Rain of Bullets(with chem for debuff)+Flashfreeze+HoB+FSC is pretty nice all while Hot Feets is running. Working pretty good so far.
On a side note, i'm slotting for melee defense. Everyone says i should slot for ranged because it's a blaster, BUT its powers are PBAoE, not all ranged like alot of blasters. Good idea or no? -

I farm everyday. Hours per day. I usually get a couple purples per week. I have gotten 6 purples since friday, running the same farms i run every day. Could the drop rates been increased to draw people back for the activation thing? Would you put it past the devs? lol. And only 1 was a pet one. I got 2 grav anch, 1 arma dam/rech, 1 ragna trip, 1 apoco chance for. Well, off to PL some more. Wish me luck!

And even that doesn't quite cover it, there is a surprising amount of depth to the game, especially once you get into how you essentially customize your powers with enhancements and visits to the Tailor.
