Quote:Without reading the rest of the thread, let me ask you - have you looked into exemplaring/sidekicking?Hey guys and gals,
I've been playing MMO's for years, from WoW, Guildwars, Warhammer and now to Aion and LOTRO. I like the graphics of Aion but absolutely hate the grind of Aion after level 25.
So my question is this.... Is it worthwhile to start playing a game where people have been playing for months or even years. In LOTRO when I started a new account, I realized that there were no players the newbie zones and that meant that there were no players to group with in instances.
If I start playing this game am I going to be running solo until I get to a high level?
Any ideas?
Thanks
I only ask because the vets have. -
Quote:I can't dispute this.Nah, SG base is the universal term for both sides.
I mean if you're going to separate both sides wouldn't it be: Herogroup base vs Villaingroup base.
Super fits both! Unless you are implying villains aren't super, in which case my Broote would like to have a few words...WITH YO FACE!
But on subject, I have not base edited for a longlonglong time, literally years. So I wouldn't be much help. Sowwy!
For me, if someone says "SG", I figure they mean either. If they say "VG", I figure they're only talking about vils.
Because I hate heroes. -

Quote:Please, allow me to interject. While staying within the numerous rules of the boards, PvP is also "a game". Much like reputation.Keep in mind that the mods have publicly stated that reputation is "a game" on these forums, which is why I have mine disabled... because it doesn't really mean anything.
Are they so different?
I leave it to you to draw you own conclusions. -

Quote:I'm saying this in public.Actually if you ignore the irrelevancies and the constant repetition of baseless, ignorant statements that are obviously either intended as trolling or the side effect of a profound learning disability then his posts are nothing but white space.
And the occasional punctuation mark.
Please have my love-child. I don't even need to be the daddy. -
I could be wrong, but I don't think there's any eoe farming tonight.
-
Reminder, no EoE farming this Sunday, nor is there a Marklar on Tuesday due to Tanker Tuesday.
Additionally, I'm taking the week off from running hamis. -
I'd really rather not have to spend 200milion on a set of Turtles.

Quote:Agg's right, and addresses your question. You can only use one of the same IO in any one power, no matter what type (proc/proc120/global/regular), no matter if it says unique or not. You cannot slot two of the same procs, or two acc/dams from the same set, or anything like that. You can slot six procs from different sets into the same power, though.
I'd just like to clarify for anyone else stumbling on this thread - Aggelakis is refering to the Set IOs when they say "You can only use one of the same IO in any one power..."
You can put more than one Generic IO in a power, with a Generic IO being what you would see in WW/BM under Crafted Enhancements > Other. Of course, you also need to be more aware of Enhancement Diversification than if you use the Set IOs. -

Quote:One thing that many new players coming from other games (Not CO, but a game like D&DO) often need to adjust to is the idea that in many cases, finding a solid team, getting help, finding news, comes from global channels, as opposed to SG/VGs (guilds).
5- I have my first HERO on Freedom and my Vill on Virtue, anyone know of a good light/medium RP supergroup that is also into pve and all the other content
Join RF2009 and Freedom Elite for your Freedom needs (dunno the Virchoo equivelent) and you can use those to ask questions, find out server information, and so on.
That said, active SGs can and still do provide valuable resources in game that can't be done by global channels (such as a more regular group of people to play your style of game, bases and base resources, and the like).
Look me up in game - feel free to add me to your global friends list by typing /gfriend @enrious and I'll see what I can do to help you out. -

Quote:Same happened for me. I got way more done on my brute and was leeching blueside. But the server lag really did pwn it, especially in Steel Canyon. It wasn't too bad in Cap, but it was effectively unplayable for most of the event in SC. I was logged in to both sides on two accounts, and I could queue a power on heroes, go fight a L54 boss on villains, and come back around the time my hero-side attack finished.
I also felt no guilt. -
I like the initiative Leo. I think it's a great effort at teaching team leaders, although I greatly quibble at the timescale.
Also, having people leading a raid way before they're ready is very likely seconds from disaster because as Philly says, there's a lot more to leading a raid than just hitting macros.
I suppose it's human nature, but everyone wants to run before learning how to walk.
Folks wanting to lead teams/raids should plan to put in the sincere time required to learn the raid, the raid strategies, etc., and have the experience on them to know what to do when the unexpected happens.
If you take shortcuts, you're hurting yourself, but more importantly you're hurting the other 49 people at a raid though. -
Just a reminder that this seems like a fairly stable schedule.

What is 50 in Aussie years?
Happy Birthday, mate! -
Reminder, Red Raid tomorrow at 9 eastern.
Still sorta need hami aggro of some kind. -
Quote:This, this, and this. And hey, let's throw in a defeat all at the end.I find the new requirements (having to do cape mish to get aura mish) a complete waste of time. NONE of my toons have capes; yet I have to do the cape mish now to get their auras. It's the "improvements" like this that annoy me about this game; let's "fix" something like this instead of improving things like bases or fixing any of the myriad of bugs that have been around for several issues.
Bah sore subject with me. -

Quote:Castle is thataway ---->I simply wanted to vent I suppose because what once was a forum that I could goto and offer insightful, creatve, and alternative ways of doing things in PvP has turned into a forum that has vets, newbs, and nO0bs alike rejecting anything other than FoTM W/O testing or trying (perhaps not by you Con but dont pretend A. PL'd toons are ripe for testing and B. everyone is able))

Quote:Click on each post you've made, at the little scales things that would let you leave feedback for someone else's post.I was unaware of this. Normally, I would consider doing that petty and spiteful, but I would have been tempted to do that to the guy who negative repped me with a comment about how I was a "baby killing robot retard" in my thread about my experiences deployed to Afghanistan.
I'm not sure how you could even tell now though. I could see the comments before, but now I can't see any comments, positive or negative.
If it's your and you have no feedback, it'll simply tell you your rep score. If there's feedback left for that post, it'll show you what it is.
I report said feedback to either Mod08 or Niviene, depending on sobriety. Failing sobriety, flip a coin.
