  1. 1) due to levels, the power level of enemies varies so much it makes any other consideration of "reality" irrelevant. A lvl 10 AV is less powerful than a lvl 40 minion. It's just game mechanics - you can't try to add realism into it.

    2) Changing the rules like PToD or massive regeneration to prevent certain behaviors is bad. It punishes some and rewards others. It just makes some builds work better than others for fighting AVs and GMs. It breaks balance.

    3) Signature characters are lame. They stand around as trainers not helping out in Rikti invasions. They are mentioned in stories - they are part of the background. Since CoV was added - signature heroes are the enemies for villains. Their power is based on being enemies to villains. It is game mechanics. Complaining that they change from EB's to AV's when their level changes and they stand around ignoring zombie and rikti invasions is a bit silly.

    2 years at $10/month is $240, call it a round $250

    so $250 for prepaying for 2 months to instead get a lifetime subscription probably makes decent sense for the company. Especially with booster packs and expansion packs coming out.

    note with a lifetime subscription the free month you get with the extra boxes isn't worth anything to you. So buying an expansion is effectively $10 more.

    I love DM/WP because the DM gives me tools to stay alive - heal and fear. Without those it would be very boring as WP is entirely passive.

    I love my DM/WP scrapper. But only because DM gives me some tricks. Otherwise a scrapper is just boring after awhile - you cycle through attacks and kill things. Great fun at first, gets old.
  7. I believe when contacted an arc is banned without review. If the player contacts support - then there is a manual review of the arc.
  8. I've seen this on a small scale but assumed it was just triggering at an instant where they were all in the arc.

    yeah I15 is a content issue. You want to do double xp then to lure people back to try the content

    MA is really an insider thing. You don't lure people back for 2x xp for making MA arcs
  10. a volcano splitting the island into 4 is silly. It would have been far bigger than Krakatoa. Assuming a natural volcano - which don't occur on the east coast.

    the ratings system sucks. Everyone knows this. A single ratings system just doesn't make sense given that people want very different things from missions.

    Put "SFMA" in your arc description (Story focused mission arc) and people looking for stories will find it - although maybe not as many as you would like.

    I have to say that getting only 8 plays in several weeks of my 2nd arc has greatly reduced my urge to get my 3rd one done.
  13. I have made 2 and stopped. Partly waiting for I15, partly knowing that once I finish my 3rd I'm done.

    Anyone still making new arcs? Have you not made 3 yet? have multiple accounts? Unpublishing existing ones to make new ones?

    Profane is a reference to things that are unholy or offensive to that which is sacred. Profane language would include damn, hell, the names of demons and their ilk (presumably anything in the Goetia), and so forth.

    Obscene is for language of a crude or lewd nature, as the OED puts it, "offending to moral nature." Examples would be the f word, the various synonyms for excrement, and so forth.

    I think everything mentioned in this thread would be seen as obscenities, not profanity.

    yes, but as I pointed out in my post - the game calls it profane. I actually had it report to me that the use of the word god was profane

  18. willpower has rapid recovery which enhances End recovery
    add stamina and you don't have END problems.

    use Dark Melee and Dark Consumption lets you refill if you are drained.

    I am DM/WP and I do not slot any endurance reduction and don't bother with Dark Consumption. WP alone basically eliminates your END problems.

    unyielding I don't use much at the lower levels. I think I picked it up but I'm not positive. With MA I've been avoiding groups that mezz at the low levels.

    Low-level Invulnerability was just improved last year with the Defense Debuff in Unyielding getting removed. That made a huge difference.

    What I find really helps improve low levels is slotting your attacks with lots of Accuracy, two DOs or more, so you don't waste any End missing all the time.

    unyielding helps at 16. at 12 DO's do help. Tankers are about the only AT I actually use DO's for. They really need the to hit and dmg.
  21. I've only seen 2 ship maps in all of the MA arcs I have run.

    I suspect it is just farming missions that love them
  22. right - it isn't that my tanker dies
    it's that he sucks wind after every fight - or during the fight.

    around lvl 8 I ran into a +1 lt and a minion and ran out of End fighting them. I had to run from the lt because I could no longer fight.

    I just made the numbers up. I don't suggest actually increasing the res. Just swapping the passive and active.

    so if passive gets you to 40% and the toggle gets you to 60% that's fine.
