    Hiding behind curiosity while passively hating on the devs and actively insulting fellow users is not the way.     I haven't read a title so full of hate and bile as "The Top 10 Features That Hasn't Happened or Have been Removed in CoX." for months.

    The word "top" is the first clue. Actually, beyond a clue it is practically a hate crime against the devs.

    I didn't really get upset until he typed out "I'd like to list them here." I don't know if he texts his mom with those fingers or what - but he really needs to wash them with soap.

    And then the clincher "IoP's". My daughter almost saw that. Sure she's 5 and can't quite read yet. But still - it could have scarred her for life.

    The OP needs to stop with the passive hating and make constructive threads. Like maybe a list of the top 10 things you'd like done in CoX. Heck, you could ask other people to add their ideas to the list.

    The main problem I see is that their primaries are not fun. Forcefield is an awesome powerset - but it is incredibly boring to play. The empathy auras and fortitude are great - but I doubt anyone's idea of fun is giving out auras and fortitude buffs.

    Defenders have these nifty attacks in their secondary that they can use a lot - but they aren't very good. You can't buff them or controllers become corruptors.

    I don't think defenders aren't good enough. The problem is they are force multipliers - on 8 man teams they are the best characters. Solo they suck. You can't balance this without changing how buffs/debuffs work in the game.

    So you have a class that is boring to play in what it is good at, and that is uber on large teams and lousy on small teams.
  5. a basic issue in CoX is teaming vs soloing builds/sets.

    My DM/WP loves soloing because he has good single target effects.

    My fire/mm blaster hates soloing and wasting his aoes on 2 or 3 man spawns. But upping the difficulty and getting higher level and more foes doesn't work well.

    So now I wonder if I can set my blaster to face foes as if I were on a 3-4 person team, but at -1 or -2 levels - and get missions filled with minions and lt's that I can devastate with aoe?

    that might make soloing with him not feel painful - as well as being fun
  6. the solution for blaster is to have Aim for Electric Blast replaced with a power that gives Aim and boosts the END drain effect. That would let you use short circuit and others to drain one foe's end all of the way.

    It wouldn't be usable every fight, but would make end drain useful even when not paired with /end or /nrg

  8. I support removing AE from Atlas, Galaxy, and KR

    I don't support level or veteran restrictions

    I'd really like to see AE restricted to unused zones like Skyway and Brickstown
  9. my complaints about the ITF are:
    1) the cave mission with the crystals is very repetitive. I'd like the cave to have more variety. The other maps have giant robots and such. This map is just boring

    2) the big outdoor missions have a lot of objectives but they don't chain - they just are there (as far as I know). You have to fight the generals but just because. There is no story to it - just a bunch of guys standing around to fight.

    That said, it is a fun TF - one of the best. The big outdoor maps are my favorite part. It feels epic

    I rarely play a character past 32. I find the higher level game boring. It isn't a skill game, it is just a power game.

    the teen and 20's is really the sweet spot for the game.

    if you need to play level 50's, by all means do. But I find the higher levels distinctly lacking in challenge and interest.
  12. I got my grav/nrg up to lvl 10. Without propel trained, I had more attacks than I needed to make a chain. I had no hasten or recharge bonus.

    I can't see the need for a primary with several attacks, when I have more than I need. I think I'll try some others.

  15. it's been a long time since I played a villain. Tried a dom and did a mayhem mission. I kept waiting for longbow to ambush me but they never showed up.

    bug? Or is this a change?

  17. I solo mostly. I used to play controllers, and like ice/ice blasters. I want damage with a bit of control.

    so I figure I want a high damage dominator combo. Is grav/nrg good? Is the nrg so good at damage you want a more utility primary?

    any thoughts?
