I am not switching to villain as I am planning on doing a night widow and a crab who will probably both stay villain (i've done both and switched to hero as soon as I could)

Quote:is Sutter the one where you are on a ship and go to another ship, same mission but outside and inside parts - tried that one with a bad team, we didn't know what we were doing and gave up.Well we know he did an ITF and didn't like it, if I remember the thread correctly.
There's the Admiral Sutter TF, that's 35+ right? I like it anyway.
A lot of the stuff that I can think of is more for 40+, but if you've never done the Tina McIntyre and... I forget the other Praetorian arc contact's name... those were updated for the new Praetorian content, and they're generally fun. Mostly in a group because you can fight a lot of AVs, but still.
I've fought some AV's joining other people's missions but never gone through any PI arcs on my own.
I've done Eden TF once. Is there anything else to do in Eden - any zone contacts? -
I want animal head masks/hoods
I want a barbarian/shaman/singing telagram who doesn't have an animal head, but wears one on top of his
and I want alternate shapes to bodies and limbs. Not quadraped. But bones that are bone thin, invisible limbs with floating hands, etc -
I know I had a character who got that high that went to the shadow shard. I don't know what level those zones are.
Is there any content 37-49 that I should try to see? -
you are thinking old school riddles
new school riddles have diaries that take over your mind and make you kill cats -
I'm not convinced that board posters represent all the players well, but the willingness and interest in getting this level of player feedback is amazing

if you get close enough to your target does it switch to how many feet they are away?
-
that did not make you evil.
it was your final chance to decide not to become evil, and you opted for evil
none of the tip missions change your alignment, your decision is what changes it - they just provide a chance for you to make a decision -

Factoring in that you seldom make it out of the teen's early 20's, you need something that is fun early, not that requires a lot of enhancements.
For dominator you should try Mind/ or Plant/. Both give you a lot of control early on so soloing is easy. /fire will give you the best damage
You might try a Soldier of Arachnos. You have mezz protection and decent defenses. As a crab you will become an aoe powerhouse. Or play a Bane which mixes melee and range. -
1. What does this pattern signify and what number follows it?
62; 79; 110; 120; 119; 57; 222; 175; 154; 84; 123; 174; 196; 127; 82; 78; 225; 110; 106; 63; 63; 84; 77; 85; (blank)
That is the IP addresses of Lusca
2. Without cheating by looking up in-game, how many feet are in a mile? (remember all those times you were headed towards your objective and you saw the indicator change from showing miles to showing feet?)
800
3. What do all dominator secondary powersets have in common?
they all have 9 powers
4. How many different kinds of grenades exist in the game?
3: player powerset, temporary, and NPC
5. Which powerset currently (today's date) contains more than the acceptable amount of "derp"?
beast mastery
6. What will City of Heroes be gone to, and who is to blame?
some people claim that there's a woman to blame, but I guess it could be my fault
7. Why might Brutes be considered the hottest AT?
because ice cream has no bones -
Quote:When I started the Hollows were newish. At level 5 everyone went there for teaming. Then at 20 everyone went to Striga for teams.Last time I did any 'legacy' arcs was for the Flashback badges. Never looked back.
I only do the 'zone arcs' now (Hollows, Faultline, etc...) or TFs.
I know I did some regular contacts back then, but probably very few. -
devil's advocate
if they could not include everything for the price, the weapons are the least useful thing as only weapon powersets use them. I would rather have all of the clothes without the weapons then include the weapons and not some of the clothes. -
Invuln is a good set on tankers with 4 issues that can cause you to die if you don't play well or even if you do.
1. Crashing tier 9. If you crash in a fight you are in bad shape
2. No psi resistance. You can be doing great but then suddenly get massacred by a foe with psi attacks.
3. Lower non s/l resistance. If you fight warriors and are invulnerable then go fight something that does fire, you will take a lot more damage.
4. Defense based on having enemies near. If you charge into a room with ranged foes, your defense will not be at its best. You can feel invincible because no one can touch you, then get chewed up trying to get to ranged foes (especially if CoT have you slowed to a crawl)
All manageable, although psi is the biggest problem when it comes up, but if you are not aware of your situational vulnerabilities you can easily go down. -

I think I'd go with Henri if I could see the face (or even front of the helmet) of the running hero -
Quote:I have no idea what anyone's position is on this thread, I just want to respond to thisTo tie this all back into the OP, even if you think Freedom is an Unqualified Good, do you really think that they will devote more time and effort to a backburner issue like Bases or will they work on the stuff they know they can monetize, and throw in some QoL issues?
I hope that they work primarily on stuff that they can monetize. I have this two theories on this:
1. the stuff people will pay money for is the stuff they want. I assume that the types of things that sell well are popular. That does not have to be true, but I'm going with it.
2. they need to make money to keep the game running. Since I am happy with the game as it is, anything they add is gravy. The worst thing would not be adding more stuff, it would be shutting the game down. -
just the other day I saw some thug ride into a conference room on his motorcycle
if thugs can do it, I don't know why players' couldn't -
an emp that solos well?
they must have really improved defender soloing since I tried it last -
really? All this time and I had no idea there was that pattern.

the low level contacts are terrible. level 12 in Steel. Missions I have gotten:
defeat 10 hellions,
report to Boomtown Security Chief - defeat 10 clockwork in Boomtown
report to Boomtown Security Chief - defeat 10 trolls in Boomtown
go to KR and talk to hero corps agent
defeat 10 council in Steel
defeat 10 council in Steel (got this one right after the other council)
get weapons from CoT
One door mission out of 7 missions, assuming get weapons from CoT is a door mission, I didn't do it yet. And even worse - there are almost no council in Steel anymore. 5th Column is wiping them out. So finding 10 took quite awhile.
On the other hand I am doing Neil Kendrick missions as well. It is a story arc mission telling about the history of Freakshow. The actual missions are about the same as doing a radio mission. They are scattered around the city - including Crey's Folly and Atlas - but with all of the transport options at level 35 getting around is easy. And it is cool getting the information. I'm not really accomplishing anything, just getting information, but it's interesting. -
I re-roll all of the time. I just find higher levels to be boring and stupid. I deleted my 11 characters ranging from 26 to 44 a month ago. My new character is 35 and I am debating keeping him and starting another or deleting him and starting another.

the shining stars, at least in Atlas (I've only done through part of steel)
each one feels like a unique individual. I want to see what happens to them.
the Manticore involvement I don't like, but the writing of the Shining Stars is great
