Quote:there are 2 types of resistance to mezzes also (unless i am totally confused myself)A related question is there anyway...other than trial and error to learn what controls don't work on some types of mobs. I don't think this is a stacking issue...
My elec dominator is learning the hard way that nemesis don't seem to be confused and I'm pretty sure huntsman cheat because even after something like 4 holds it only ends up lasting a second or two.
one increases the magnitude required for the mezz to take effect
the other decreases the duration of the mezz
so you may think you are stacking 4 holds on a mob, but the durations may be so short that only 2 are stacking. -
We currently have shopping and crafting as downtime, plus leveling and respecing. You can just hang out and chat with people, have costume contests, or other player generated downtime. But would you like the game to provide semi-productive downtime.
Examples:
In a day job location you could "do" the job and earn the time faster including the temporary benefit of the day job. Go to Pocket D, stand in an area and do the dance emote. Go to the police station and talk to a criminal in a holding cell, or do filing. In my ideal world these would be mini-games. In my less ideal world it would be a way of grinding out day jobs.
Earn inspirations via NPC's. Go to the hospital and click on beds of sick people and earn an inspiration for each one. Or go to the Arena, click on fans standing in line and get an inspiration from each of them.
None of these are game changers. Many would not consider them worth the time/effort. -
the tip missions show the double sided staff of immersive writing.
you do make a choice as to which alignment you move towards, and then the mission forces you to make other actions based on that choice.
it can be a cool story about your characters transformation
or it can be an annoying "my character wouldn't do/say that"
the best part about them is the NPC's and your relationship to them and seeing them progress. I want to know how Frostfire and Blast Furnace turn out. Something I never cared about Statesman (and I don't care that he died) -

1. bubble helmet should be cool, my deep sea diver wants one. But the collar seems awfully big. Also can we tint the helmet so you can't see through it?
2. accordion shoulders look like they will be good for primitive robot types, if they can be made not to glow
3. jetpack is up to high
4. I like the double jetpack, but don't want the rings
5. The ring shoulder pads and others may see use on my jester costume.
6. the ring helmet would work well on primitive robot types, or primitive Tesla style electric heroes, in fact the whole ring set might work for a Tesla Coil character
7. my cowboy sheriff wants the star belt
overall not a lot I want, but what is different is so different from what we have that it fills gaps we could not otherwise do.
the rocket packs make me interested in finned gloves and boots for the first time. -
I recommend you restart your characters.
if you want to play redside - play on Freedom. It is probably the only server with an active redside.
you can make MM's and all AT's on either side. So you can remake all blue if you want.
Everyone now gets the fitness pool (stamina) as an inherent, but old characters have to respec to get that. So it is easy to just start new and get them.
Plus there are enough changes that you will learn the characters.
If you really want to not be lonely, start a hero on freedom, go to Atlas Park and join a Death From Below team. The new version of the sewers. You will get a team of 8 quickly and be off and running. -

the final ITF map is still probably the coolest

talky NPCs are fine when I'm chewing bubble gum.
but when I'm all out of bubble gum... -
I see no value in characters. Years of badges, xp, whatever - it is all worthless
the only value is in playing and having fun
if re-rolling the character and playing a new powerset is fun, then I do it
If you can make one heap of all your winnings and lose, and start again at your beginnings and never breathe a word about your loss; yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, -
my daughter likes to make characters so I have her do it on low pop servers.
I have no idea how old the characters are, but she isn't 4,439 days old so the characters can't be -
or is that too cheesy?

Some content in the game seems team unfriendly - lots of reading, running fedex missions, basically anything besides endless fighting.
If you were to make content that was limited to solo only would that open up any possibilities (tech allowing) that you cannot do with team content?
I cannot think of any off-hand.
I was thinking you could adjust encounter size - a solo running into a group with 3 extra is a much bigger deal than a team doing it. But you can already adjust encounter size with the difficulty slider.
I suppose timed things - click this blinkie then run over and click the other within a minute - that with multiple people they could just park 1 at each. But that doesn't seem very compelling.
So would there be any benefit to creating solo only content? -

it's good, but her arms could be a bit bigger. Her legs are fine, boobs are huge, arms are twigs

are these actual superhero books?
or some random genre with characters created using CoX costume creater? -
That's a good idea Lothic
instead of after 15 minutes you get a mission fail, if you complete in 15 minutes you get a bonus reward -
not be defeated, but actually fail missions. And not forced failures like no matter what you do Statesman is killed. But as in Lady Jane gets defeated or more than 30 fir bolgs escape.
A lot of missions say there is time pressure but then there is none.
Whereas in safeguard if you do not stop the bombs in the sewers they blow up and if you are inside you are defeated.
Or you can just fail to stop the bank robbery.
I like the idea of having some higher pressure missions - with a higher xp reward for mission success, maybe.
I wonder if the repeatable missions in pvp zones, hollows, etc could be changed to a shorter time limit like 15 minutes. Make them rush missions. Of course that might just mean ninjaing missions -
I make alts
I do not re-use costumes across multiple characters that exist simultaneously.
But I do sometimes work to find a use for a costume.
I had a jester costume I loved. I created a dual blades character Dual Duel with that costume. I loved the name too. But I did not like dual blades.
When dual pistols came out I remade Dual Duel as a jester with dual pistols. That was fun, but tired of it.
Now I have Calescent Carnival a fire/rad controller with a carnival theme. His main costume is a ringmaster but he can switch into a jester costume.
I may remake Dual Duel as a dual pistols again, but he would not be a jester but a gentleman adventurer -
1. long ago the taxi's were all automated and moved to Eastgate
2. the bus maintenance yard was in Venice
