Fruit Salad, yummy yummy :P I believe this is soft capped to all 3 positions with a couple of slot moves, and a shiny PvP proc.

A no longer employed individual said it, so who knows if/when it will be adjusted...they even said there are bigger fish to fry, so I don't imagine it's a priority.
-
I've got tiger blood and Adonis DNA, are you ready for winning?
-
I have two /FA brutes at 50, neither is DM, but instead SS and Claws. The Claws/FA has 28.5% S/L and 34% E/NE defense and handles quite well against most things. I think the only thing that has really given him trouble is large numbers of Arachnos' mobs. The SS/FA only has 12% S/L and 20% E/NE defense, but sits just over 2200 HP instead. He's rarely struggled in high level content, as I focused on recharge and +HP as a bit of an experiment, instead of the typical high defense builds everyone uses. I honestly prefer the extra recharge and HP, as its easy to carry Lucks around for when you need to avoid getting hit as much as possible. He's tanked and held aggro during the final mish of the LRSF without much trouble, so something must be working for him.
So, with that being said, I think a DM/FA could fare just fine in the end game content. The key is to pick a focus or two and build around it, and don't get caught in trying to build for several things, as you'll end up with a mediocre build at the end of the day. Hmmm, I might try a +rech and +HP build for this combo myself. :P -
So....does this mean they are gonna change the name of the movie to Joe or Jimmy, or something like that? :P
-
There are numerous ways to make money in this game. Some people prefer one over the other, while others think they are above any sort of approach. I'll offer my methods as they involve a little bit of several things. I try and run TFs as much as possible for reward merits, and turn them into alignment merits to in turn pick up things like LotG procs to slot or sell; Tip missions for the same reason work; I also do a little bit of ticket farming or running of AE missions to get tickets, then roll, craft, and sell anything of decency. I've made almost 1.5 bil with ticket crafting and selling over the past two weeks, and the other methods also offer chances at purple drops while playing as an added benefit.
Are these the fastest or most efficient methods? Not by a long shot, but they allow me to still enjoy playing my characters, which is what I care most about. -
You can't go wrong with Invul, just remember that it can be a bit slot to develop. Having just leveled a Shield, I would say the road is a bit similar. I really enjoyed my Claws/Fire, and it was a smooth ride 1-50, as there was always something to look forward to for me.
-
Redraw isn't any issue with the exception of visual annoyance. I've seen plenty of axe brutes over time, maybe not as much as I've seen SS, fire, or elec....but they are out there. Like someone else mentioned, it could just be the whole SMASH mindset, and how a giant sharp blade doesn't yield the same feel that some of the other sets offer.
-
Quote:This made me lol, as I just started watching Season 4 of Voyager. :PThe toon in question here is an IO'd and Proc'd out Bots/Traps/Mace. Resistance is futile.
Also, the -rech proc doesn't yield much in return, if I were to put anything else in there besides the damage procs, the Rag proc chance for KD is always
entertaining while useful. -
Thanks for putting this together. Had some fun and great laughs watching it all go down last night. Glad to see it was successful.
-
I've deleted all ranged of leveled characters, even level 50. I usually do it when I've run out of room on my server, as I have all 36 slots opened. I try to wait a bit, move it if I can, or just strip it and delete. I deleted stuff that I ended up re-rolling at a later date, but its not the big of a deal, really.
-
Here is where mine is going. I haven't had the chance to respec him yet, but everything is mainly the same, I just haven't updated him since Fitness went Inherent.
I also will update some of the IO levels to increase their effectiveness, and have been debating going with Musculature for a nice little increase in damage output or Spiritual for more recharge and a bit of HP boost.

This cat thing is beginning to scare me a bit.
-
I never knew you were a Catboy out on the prairie.
-
Not sure why one would build towards defense against fire, when you have capped resistance to fire. You might as well pick another secondary in that case, imo. Like others have mentioned, recharge should be primary focus. I went with a slightly different route of maximizing my +HP on mine, and it seems to have worked out pretty well for me, instead of defense. Just some different thoughts to ponder for ya.
-
I'm game for this. I'll run TFs, PLs, but I also will randomly insult you but then turn around and go full on erp with you. You'll never know what to expect, especially if I'm drinking
-
Welcome!
I'd say that it is a pretty good time to give this game a try. They've been pushing out some nice updates for an overall upgrade, and have been steadily adding to the end game...finally giving people more to do with their high level characters.
I really enjoy this game's ability to get up and walk away if some requires attention elsewhere...it is what has kept my interest for over 6 years.
I won't comment on server choices as that will always be a matter of opinion that is intensely skewed by each individual, as you can see by certain responses already. I've had great luck where I'm at, and have had luck on other servers in spurts. I prefer the smaller servers. -
I'm of the mindset that I play the game in the way that makes me happy...if that means farming, PL'n, RP, whatever...its my dime, not yours.
-
_Zep_, thanks for the link. I prolly will end up replacing the card for now and possibly get a new monitor. I really want to upgrade my whole thing, but that's not gonna happen right now. The baking trick looks interesting, but I don't think it's worth the effort in this situation since a newer, better card isn't too much cash.
Mandu, the times I monitored the temps, they were a lil high, but not dangerously high. I use the can air when I clean it out, but I try not to go wild with it.
I just finished a Hami Raid, and I didn't get to watch much, as my screen was super low fps....suppose there is nothing wrong other then just having old/weak hardware. -
Quote:DL'd the registry cleaner, and ran it and also changed the settings. See how it goes this weekend. I was curious if upgrading my monitor would help any, as its an older flat screen 19", and there is a nice 23" on sale nearby.Try turning "Ambient Occlusion" and shadows completly off and see if you get any errors. If you do, try running in safe mode and see if any occur. Stressing the processor/video card with eye candy can cause heat issues in itself, so I'd try to eliminate some of the extra calculations their doing.
Your card and processor are kinda toward the low end running Windows 7, and you do have quite a few services running in the background, and I think skype pretty resource hungry.
See if changing settings in game first, helps, before buyin into any new gear.
One more thing, download and run http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
It's a fairly easy to use registery cleaner that is pretty safe. Just make sure to make a backup when it asks before hitting "fix all". You can always reinstall the backup should it cause an issue. I use it all the time and it can fix alot of errors.
Most of those services are turned off, as I noticed them running constantly awhile back.
I'd really hope to avoid replacing the processor right now, as money is limited, but if I'm maxed out as far as vid cards that work with the processor and motherboard, I guess I don't have a choice.
Thanks for the tips. -
Quote:Damn I was afraid of that...I generally clean it out weekly, the video card was a recent upgrade (read: in the past several months) I really don't know if I can upgrade to a better one with the MB/Processor I have. I also tend to bog down to almost nothing during raids or large teams of masterminds.Unfortunately, this is almost surely some kind of hardware issue. Could be heat, could be a failing fan in the video card, could be power supply problems, could be just about anything. You can try to mitigate the any heat issues by cleaning any fans inside the case: CPU, video, etc. and generally removing as much dust as possible. But in the end, some kind of hardware needs to be swapped. I'd start with the video card.
