    /Kin and Acc?

So I've almost got my DP/Kin to 50. Not quite, but getting there. I have a few questions about possible build scenarios, however.

First off, I haven't run any Incarnates yet, so I really don't know what's contained therein, but this will be the first toon I plan to go with.

So it's no secret that /Kin needs good accuracy to succeed. I see some posts saying that they put +Acc as a priority when IOing the toon, along with +Rech. I'm wondering if, as I build out my IO sets, I can put +Acc on the backburner, as it were, since I plan on taking Focused Accuracy from Mace. Although I have room in my current build for Tactics, if FA will do the job, that's one less toggle to keep running and I'll skip it. Also, if FA does the job, then I'll focus my IOs primarily on +Rech.

These questions bring up something else I've been searching for, but can't seem to find a proper guide to help me. What kind of Acc should I be aiming for (other than "as much as possible," lol)? I mean, sure, I know I need 45% S/L for decent mitigation, but say that I do want to run Incarnates... is there a particular Acc I should aim for FIRST before prioritizing to other stats? I'd just hate to go into an Incarnate and see all of my /Kin powers suddenly "missing" because my common IO Acc's just won't cut it, heh.

    Thanks in advance!
  2. I think what most people are missing here is the fact that, indeed, this is an MMO. If you could simply change powersets at any time, even if it costs a few bucks, you would blow through the content the devs have created in a relatively short time, and not be convinced to continue playing. I'm sure some vets and other hardcore players would disagree, but since the game is going F2P, what's to keep someone from leveling one toon, paying a few times to switch powers, then quitting? They WANT you to keep coming back, to keep rolling alts, and be convinced to KEEP PLAYING AND KEEP PAYING. I'm not demonizing them by saying that, it just makes good market sense. If you give a player everything, they quickly alienate themselves from the game, and you lose customer base.

Personally, I wouldn't want that from a game. Aside from drawing PL/Account sellers, it would simply drop the population of the game. The point of going F2P is to bring a wider audience to the game (srsly though, might wanna upgrade servers before this happens, haha). This is simply counterproductive to the business idea of MMOs. Leave it be please.

    KM/SD Question

Thanks for the number crunching! I didn't realize that Brutes hit for THAT much less. Welp, I'm off to make a Scrapper!

    KM/SD Question

I've decided to roll a KM/SD, but I'm wondering if it would be better to roll as a Brute or Scrapper. With the nature of AAO and PS, combined with a fury bar + taunt aura, it seems like I could keep a continuous flow of +dmg going from all three as a Brute. I'm aware of the lower damage index of Brutes compared to Scrappers, but I wonder if the taunt aura to keep enemies in melee makes this particular combination work more in favor of Brutes.

Side notes just in case - I'm not particularly biased towards teaming or soloing, I do both regularly. And I've read in other parts of the forums that it MIGHT be a possible option to keep a perma-PS going (with about 10 seconds downtime, but not including the decay which was not measured), this versus the random BU chance from IOs.

It sounds like a good idea to roll as a Brute, in theory. Any experiences with this? Input I haven't thought of?

    Thanks in advance!
