  1. By George, I think you've got it!

I wouldn't mind seeing a change in the policy about artists who charge commissions for their work, and being able to say so. Maybe an 'official' link or something where they could advertise or be listed? There's a lot of great talent, and can be a bit hard to find sometimes within the CoH/CoV forum itself.

This along with some recognition I think is the least this community deserves from the game makers. I can say this as a non-artist in the forum, but I love the comradarie among the artists and the joy with which they salute each other and their fans on the boards here. Their generosity and love for what they do is just fantastic and I think they should be treated as something other than "red-headed step-children."

More contests and rewards for them would be a great step too.

I hope that Lighthouse gets a chance to try to support this community like they never have and that the management above let's it happen.
  3. TA has been turned into Toddler TA -- Rowr and Juggy are trying to keep him out of trouble while getting him back to HQ.

    Toddler TA
  4. That is like, 11 kinds of sweet. The detail image is very powerful.

    As always, fantastic.
  5. And I haven't said "You're Welcome" enough, it was fun to do. I have two in the works for MarDun and Ms. Veil -- I was derailed by an unexpected week in the hospital--still recovering, but will get to it ASAP MarDun--Promise!

Thanks to those that enjoyed it.
  6. It is amazing how slight changes can make or break the overall quality of a picture. The 2nd version is far superior in terms of impact. As always great job!
  7. Mar:

Just got back from a week in the hospital -- unplanned--and am getting my head back together. I'm pretty rough but hope to get back to your theme music this weekend or early next week--depending. I tried sending you a PM, but you're full up.

I have definite themes running in my head for Mar and Veil, but just need to be able to sit up a bit longer than I am right now.

I promise you, I'll get them to you as soon as I can.
  8. The linework is beautiful, but the colors bring it to life -- it is a great collaboration! You should both be proud of your contribution to this one!
  9. What a great way to run around with you guys -- I'll definitely try to be there.
  10. If there's room I'd like either Leapin' Lopez:

    Or Kitty Kool:

To show their sexier side, if possible.

    thanks.

I forgot to mention: Leapin' Lopez is a Martial Artist and Kittly Kool is an Ice Kitten with a long pony tail.

    Been A While...

    This link:

    http://www.world-voices.com/resources/addaud.html#353

    and this info:

[quote=website]Embed mp3 Files Most simply, try to embed your mp3 files in a similar manner to wav files: <EMBED src="file.mp3" autostart=true hidden=true> This works on some servers (It depends on the MIME configuration). If this does not work properly, ask your server to setup the MIME type for mp3.

For better streaming (more immediate play) use a text editor to write a "m3u" file with one line something like this: http://www.yoursite.com/file.mp3 Save the file as "file.m3u" and upload it to your site. On your web page, embed the mp3 file like this: <EMBED src="file.m3u" autostart=true hidden=true>

  13. And now for something completely pointless. . .

    Celebrity faces!

I ran three different pictures hoping to get some sort of consensus--but it didn't work out that way. Then I ran some Celebreties: Danny Kaye has an 83% resemblance to Danny Kaye, George Harrison, scored a bit higher, but to their credit they came up with the highest match to themselves.

So, here's mine for three different pictures with no agreement between them:

    Kim rossi Stewart 67%
    Chevy Chase 67%
    Junichiro Koizumi 66%
    Takeshi Kitano 63%
    Tom Selleck 63%
    Michael Morcock 62%
    Gerry Adams 62%
    Wild Bill Hickock 61%
    Brad Pitt 60%
    Kevin Smith 60%
    Oded Fehr 59%
    Colin Farrell 59%
    Jeff Bridges 59%
    Eric Clapton 57%
    vladamir Kramnik 56%
    Ringo Starr 54%
    Chow Yun-Fat 53%
    Aaron Lewis 52%
    Lleyton Hewitt 49%
    Lu Xun 48%
    John Bonham 47%
    Lou Reed 47%
    Ken Watanabe 46%
    Spiro Agnew 46%
    Kirk Hammett 46%
    Jenifer Aniston 45%

Oh, BTW, I have a theory that those of us with Native American Ancestry tend to Match the Japanese and other Asian famous, because I ran a picture of Ed Ames (Native American singer-actor, who isn't among the matching Celebs) and he got a lot of Asian Hits.

    a new look?~

My vote is ultimately for the GvE suit. I think it streamlines better and has more of the character's feel to it.

    Atillita

    WOW!

Nothing eloquent to say -- that is so good it slays me!

    and, oh yeah, WOW!
  17. Wogglebug:

Just wanted to say how much I like your basic style -- very cool.
  18. Big Congrats from here too! Best to you and your growing family!
  19. Love the shadows and light in this -- especially the way you can see the flame play on the character's face and body.

    Quite nice!

I've spent the last 3 weeks on this piece... but I think the effort was worth it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And I think you're right! Pure awsomeness!
  21. Pretty much every one of them.

Really -- this is the game I waited for my whole life and didn't even know it was coming.
