    I call this a good death when you die an alternate animation would play like for a robot pc would fall apart or explode no damage, a magic one would melt turn to a puddle or the energy would leave there body, natural maybe over act the death "must go int to the light " a demonic pc could be sucked back to hell "demon summon example" there are may different ones out there right now any of which could be used or modified with little effort.

    jet pack active when fly or jump used like the jet boots for the pack it would unfold from your back could also be used for wings normal and mechanical as do not like that thay stick out while running around on the ground or a winged demon on your back for fly a device they teleports or a runic circle appears and you teleport. I have more Ideas but just getting started. here is some more ideas i posted in another older link

    The travel powers would be easy to do with what is in game now a heat shimmer for fly, or punching a few buttons on the arm like summoning pet to open a gate to step through, super sped could trail electric like, and super jump could send out some type of pulse from the feet. I had said some thing like this before but the last time i i said some things that are not in game already these could easily be taken from other places and made to work with the powers. I mean they all ready said they would may just have to wait a bit more down the road I my self love this game and will be here until I get too old to see the keys. A big thank you to all you guys that work on this game with out you a lot of my imagination would have never have thought of some very cool super heroes and there counter parts so thank you some day would love to some of my ideas come true and a major face lift to the game graphic wise.

    What i would like to see is costume parts that inter act with the powers like the jet boots do with fly, like wrist bands that pop up to shoot lasers or automatic weapons fire, (i know its been said but jet packs that pop out of the back to work with the fly power and retract so there out of the way for those who use tech and science origins). Its a cool idea and may have been said before.

    let me expand on this a bit the choice of what powers for the master mind to use with the first would be nice like dual pistols for mercenary's would be nice or electrical for ninjas i really hate the bow and arrow. For the robots electrical would be nice as well and not the lazer gun which would be good for the mercenary's or thugs maybe what i am saying a sub power set under the first.

    so there would be a sub set under the other example: pick your pets and pick your power sub with the minions think about it black lightning with zombies would be cool

    I know this is off topic but the one thing i would like to see is the master mind primary sets divided to allow chose between the type of pets with the power ups in one list and the attack options in another example (the ninja master mind has a bow which i hate i would like the option to have electricity to go with the storm secondary). which would give the character a ninja magic feel. Going one step further having alternate pets would be great as well so those who do not want the magic route could have some thing besides the oni

    most of these can be done with very little difficulty i think but would give so much more to the game and players

    realy what needs to be done is to divide the primary set in two one being pets the other being powers gained so for example the ninja master mind could have knifes/throwing stars, bow/arrow or what i would like electrical attacks which would be perfect for the storm master ninja idea i had storm summoning secondary works perfectly for this. But would need this whole set overhaul to make this happen.
  6. The way i look at it if you can not wait for the price to drop and have to have it now then pay for it. Other wise wait till the price goes down which it will and get it then. Just like any thing else in this real world when some thing new comes out it costs a bit. I for one got it just due to the fact i have the points, which are given to me each month just for having a membership to play this game. I see it as an investment on future things based on this, and yes its a bit high. This is the only game i play and yes you could call me a fan boy but i have played all the others, this is by far the best as far as giving the people who play what they want. I have found with any thing there is going to be those who all ways want there cake and eat it and well this game almost does that in some ways. I bet even if they gave the pet away for free you people would still gripe about that its not this or that. Any way sorry for the rant I just love this game and have to say this company is doing a hell of a job.
  7. The easiest would be to just have alt models to summon in different styles maybe letting you top color them. Like gangsters for thugs, police or long bow for mercenaries, demons maybe some other less evil looking humanoid or more evil looking ones Cthulhu like ones, and for undead maybe Frankenstein monster types or some thing you get it. Would be the easy way and i think most would like it they could add more latter on.

    you got it right this is what i am talking about as for melee sets as secondary sets but making new sets for the blaster based off those i had stated. for example the sword secondary could have ranged attacks have it shoot off or the blade cause it to do some thing like brake apart like a metal whip and hit some one.

  9. I had tried to make a blaster a few days ago and found i just did not as the secondary sets just did not fit too good. This may need the most done for power proliferation as there are very few of them, were on the villain side there are many more.

    A sonic set would be nice, but to expand on this adding in kinetics, radiation, and storm may be easier than others. Ii thought would really be awesome Blaid, thorn, spine and katana the last four because the secondary sets have melee powers in them. Would love to have a pistol sword blaster on this line a single pistol blaster with less gun fu like movement would be good as well. Not getting off topic, We need more secondary sets for the blaster.

    You could have villains come to atlas park or other hero maps to meet with a shady person to foil the heroes attempts with some of there plans and if they join a play group with other heroes would be given the perpetuity to through a monkey wrench in to there plans as well.

    The Transformation Powers do not grant access to the Costume Pieces.
    I may be reading too much in to this but, it sounds like to me we may be getting costume pieces that are like the hard suit, carnies, and Rikti.

    covert missions: What i mean is like the way manticore did to get the bad guys. There would be a person or persons who would report to to do missions. So to every on else you would be a bad guys but unlike the changing sides you would never lose you hero or villain status. To bring down the bad or good guys, this would open up mercy island to heroes to do missions. This island is big and from what i can see a lot of wasted space and could even join a villain group of other players. This would give you an option to try and foil there attempts in the mission to do some things but not to were it would effect the exp. Like if sent to get a file or some thing if you enter the room an option to sub a phoney file would happen. So exp would be gained from the mission but when calling the contact he would tell the player the file was wrong one and now you can not go back because who ever is on to you now. After a few times of this with the same group people would start to think some one is a spy but there really would be no way to tell. I think it would add another level of play to the game and make grouping more fun as well.
  13. Meta games are not my bag but if there are those who want to waist there time with things like this (a fishing game comes to mind) what ever. Hope at some point you odd fellows get it if nothing else than to shut you up. No malice intended i would rather have them working on things other than this, which may be why they have not done it. What ever don't care one way or the other.

    I would rather have a new power set and more people i would think feel the same way.

    When i make a character i have a concept weather its a person wielding Si or a single weapon.

    Point is single wepon have a set for that 2 wepon have a set for that use the rapier for ether one and there you go if you want different add animations. But you are wanting the damage and other things not relating to the character concept for what reason i don't know still smells like trying to get some type of an advantage to me or would be and exploit. Does not matter will not happen any way would be worth more to make a power set than this and this i would not buy. A power set i would, because a set is more than just animations and a different weapon. A power set has appeal to a wider set of people and could add options with in to very it for other concepts (example like a dagger user ). I would have to say a light weapon power set would be nice and i would love one to make some one who would use a single dagger or small weapon.

    I could go on about this but it is useless let me just say i think if it alters the basic types of damage or or mechanics of the power set i think it should be a set unto its self.

For fire, an alternate 'style' for the set may be something like 'Spirit Fire', a set that 'shapes' fire into things like birds, fireflies and what not, a theme that may fit well for a magic fire caster or a pyrokinesis user that make pictures and shapes out of their fire. To get a proper impact, flares may cast much faster while fireball migh be slower animating.

    That said, I'm not advocating consolidating current sets like BS and Kat, those were only examples to get my point across. The 'powerset skin' and 'reform skin' are *new* sets added to old ones as options.

    Step 1. Clarify. OK maybe a bad example i still say new power set over skin power are put in an order for a reason from 1 -9 every thing has to be balanced and putting another system over one that works good is just redundant and unnecessary wast of time when if there going to put that much trouble in to making the powers effects and weapons animations for the rapier they should just go ahead and make a whole power set and add more options under it (smallish light weapons that use finesse like dagger, being one)

    Step 2. Explain. similar power make-up but not the same means diffeant powers and there in a whole new set. Katana and Broadsword [ same set ] [ same power make-up], the [same power order] [same theme]. difference [ animation times ] and [speed which are the refitted for endurance/dmg/rech.] so you want to only change a part of the power set there is a reason as i stated that the powers are as they are changing part and not the whole unbalances the titer toter of the balanced set. I would think a new set would be better. and slower or faster is not a good reason for this i still think a skin would just be a wast of time were as i as well as most everyone else would be happy with a new set or effects or animations and nothing having to be added over another system that work fine by its self.

    Step 3. Example. dual blades have a set that is like using a rapier the moves are like what you are wanting but with one not two weapons so the set would fall between this and the big bad weapon set right so a light blade set would be the best bet. Maybe with a slight defense to it to make up for the lack of damage and a dot or some thing.

    That's more animation customization. We can have that too but try something...

    Go into the costume creator or get one of your characters with all their blasts and swap all your animations to a specific type that isn't the original animation (like all 1-handed). Notice how limited they are visually. They all share a very similar (I wouldn't be surprised if they were identical) stance and emanation FX. This is because of the limits one has under animation customization in that, character cast time, effect delay, root time, ready stance, all of it has to match up with the old set.

    What I suggest is the ability to basically put all that aside, work with a clean slate (cast time, animation, etc. but range, effect numbers, are the same) then afterwards, balance the numbers to be even with the parent set.

    You ask why not just make a new set, and I'm saying *do* that. I just think, since it's the same set, number-wise and theme-wise, you might as well have the ability to use either. That'd be the old set's gimmick. While Titan Weapons gets momentum, Street Justice gets combos, Staff gets a combination of combos and stance change, Broad Sword can swap between regular and fencing and Katana can do kendo or iaido with but a change in grip. It's not a thematic leap to figure your BS user thinking he might start stabbing instead of slicing...

  18. so let me get this straight the skin would go over the other like broad sword and the skin would be rapier the animations would be different so times and effects would be completely different than that of a broad sword but are under the same power set so you would get to power sets under one would you be able to change them like a person changes costumes so one character could have two different power sets if so i say no. But if once chosen it is set so that character is tied to the one style even if respected then maybe but i still do not see it. Why not just fix the old ones but there again i for one do not see what is wrong with them i would rather have options for them which would be easy to do a staff or wand object to use to do the effect or having a chose as to were its coming from my hand mouth or eyes or different types off effects which none of these effect the casting times of the power sets. If you are talking about changing the times and effects and items well thats whats known as a new power set.
  19. i still do not see any need for this it is a wast of time add more animation options or types of swords to the set (so no advantage can be gained over one or the other whether its broad sword or katana) pets for master minds same thing as changing the weapons thugs (skulls, or any other punk gang) mercenary's (police, or any other well organized gang) for example no need for "skins" just add the options to the powers all ready simple no need for yet another redundant system to over lap another with the exception of on master minds (the primary to chose between maybe a lightning attack for ninjas and not the stupid bow which i hate with the concept for the character but the primary would have to be divided like the solder or widow set so primary attack could be chosen but still think a skin would not be right for this as well the set should be redone )

I get what he is talking about even if no one else does, only problem is that doing this the person could have completely different characters under one slot and change them by changing costumes. But a melee tank would still be a melee tank just one would use a broad sword and another costume would be like Chinese sword user so they could look completely different. So i say no that's why power sets are made for different concepts animations can very with in the set so mixing and matching to fit what you want. example ( all kicks or hand attacks for martial arts or adding non breathing attacks for ice of fire sets.

    /unsigned due to would rather have a few options for the powers we have not to were we could make 5 or six characters under one slot. A shape changer set is what your character would be like or could be like and to that i say no. let them make a power set for some thing like that ( if they can but more than not) which i don't care if they ever do or not.

    I agree with brandx would like to use it on others at lower levels. I understand that it is a look look i have 50 or up stuff you can't have till you are were i am. This is why i never made the other classes that unlocked at 50 till ae came out and i got a few toons i quit playing up to 50 to open them and made a few and these toons are still sitting there i play with them off and on. The thing that i like about this game is its not like all the other mmo's i do not have to have the uber armor to kill this or that and unlike most who hate the action houses i love i can make millions of "money " on them and buy what i want and make it if i want.

    thank you for confirming and the clarification of what i was saying yes it might be imposable from our point of view but i for one am not a game designer. So i leave that to them what i was aiming for was a medium class between all the other not good at any one thing but kind of a jack of all trades of sorts. i mean if you want a damage guy the blaster is your man but has no defense. were as this guy might take longer to do the job but due to the defences he can hold in there to do the job and his buffs are not that good but will help give the tean there in a bit of an edge. and can hold his own in melee but not as damaging as the scrapper the only thing this class lacks is healing.

    primary set

    1) armor
    2) short ranged attack cone
    3) awareness [give bonuses to spotting hidden and any blinding attacks to all with in a radius
    radius
    4) improved armor [gives the armor you have better resistance or give another minor buff.
    5) medium ranged attack
    6) quick reaction [ while active if you are surprised or run in to some thing would automatically fire off a close rang attack or melee attack adding the knock down ability to it recharge very long]
    7) augmentation [give your armor more defense ageist other types of attacks or give another a minor buff]
    8) medium ranged attack
    9) I'll be back [a full resurrection with a very very long recharge]
